The woman glanced at Paul. "I'm sure your friends were driven out of town last night, but why is this one still here?"
Smiling, Jeddy poked his right arm around Paul's neck and he answered the woman's question casually, "Well, whatever the reason, your troops may not be able to drive my friend this one away, you could say," Jeddy chuckled, "The Mad Goat is nothing to my friend."
Hearing the lie made Paul's face look irritated. But Paul tries to go with the flow so that the lies Jeddy creates can conquer the woman in the red dress. And finally, though he had to, Paul tried to sing a small smile, so that Jeddy's lie would look convincing.
"For me! The Mad Goat was nothing more than a bunch of weak goats whose flesh could be preyed upon at any moment!" paul said with a slanted smile. Jeddy laughed crisply at this, and he was glad that Paul was finally willing to work together to deceive the woman.
Biting her lower lip, the woman looked annoyed, she was devoured by a trick from Jeddy. In reality, Paul was just a newcomer to the city. But the woman did not know it, and foolishly immediately believed in their words. "You're saying we're just a bunch of weak goats that can be preyed upon at any moment? For a boy like you, you're so arrogant." The woman smiled wryly at Paul. "But take it easy, I'll pretend not to hear it. On condition, you should come with me. Nowow. Somewhere."
Jeddy gave a loud snort while pointing the gun he was holding at the woman in the red dress, making the woman shocked. "Heheh! I'm sorry, but my friend has no time for an excursion with you" Jeddy said with a small laugh. "But if you take me too, I'll let you."
Paul was convinced that the gun Jeddy was holding had all but gone, but again the man had intended to threaten the woman in a red dress with his trick. Truly annoying human, so Paul thinks of Jeddy's behavior.
"Eh!? J-Jeddy? Don't mess with that thing, you can kill your own mother!" The woman in the red dress panicked to see Jeddy pointing a gun at her. "Well! I'll take you too! So throw that thing away now!"
His request was obeyed, Jeddy threw the gun in any direction. Then, the woman turned her attention to Paul with a restless face. "Dump your gun too! I don't want to bring in armed men."
Calmly, Paul raised both his hands, proving to the woman that he currently did not carry any weapons on his body. A few minutes later, Paul and Jeddy were sitting in a limousine on the back bench. While the woman in a red dress was sitting on the middle bench. On the way, Jeddy and Paul chatted until the sound of their laughter interrupted the woman in red who was closing her eyes on the chair.
"Oi-oi-oi-oi, why did you bring us here?" Jeddy gasps to see a tall building that reads 'Crazy Goat Headquarters' after he gets off the limousine with Paul.
"Headquarters? How boyish!" Paul grieved after reading the nameplate from the building. Jeddy laughed at Paul's words, and he thought the same thing. Then as before, Jeddy poked his right arm around Paul's neck, and then they walked together.
"As much as you want to say what," the woman in the red dress replied with a foolish moment, which was walking in front of them. Jeddy and Paul follow the woman to a place in a relaxed manner.
Arriving at an iron door, the woman turned her head to Jeddy and Paul, smiling sweetly. "Prepare, in a moment, you will meet the head of the Mad Goat" the woman said with a hiss. "I hope you can get along with my husband, especially for you, Jeddy."
Slowly, the iron door was pushed by the woman's right hand, until it finally opened perfectly. Showing the room-
"DDID!?" The woman was shocked when she saw her husband's room was in a mess. "A-What's this, baby!?" The woman rushed into the room to go to her husband who was sitting in a chair with his back to them, like he was enjoying the view of the city from his big window.
However, the moment the woman touched her husband's shoulder frantically while shouting, "Honey! Why is your office so messy like this!? What happened to you!?" The figure she thought of as her husband, was not, but rather a pale-faced, black-robed man sitting on the chair her husband was supposed to be sitting in. "Who are you!?" So shocked, the woman in a red dress fell to the floor.
"Ah, I am nobody" said the pale man as he moved from his chair, displaying a friendly smile at the woman. Paul and Jeddy are taken aback, but in a different sense. Paul was astonished that the figure of the pale man who was smiling kindly was Roswel; what exactly was he doing here!? That's what Paul thinks now. While Jeddy was astonished to see the figure of a foreign man he had never seen in this city, he was sure, the pale man was not a resident of Groen City. Then what business is that figure in his father's office to make this room so messy? That's what Jeddy thinks right now.
"I came here because I was told to help Mr. Paul in completing his task" Roswel said, staring at the woman in a red dress who was trembling in fear on the floor. "Don't worry, your husband I didn't hurt at all, I just gave him a little punishment. If you're curious, you can find it in the next room."
Hearing this, the woman in a red dress stood up and ran to the next room, until she hit Paul and Jeddy on the shoulders. When the woman was gone, Paul and Jeddy were facing Roswel in the room.
"Yeah? Whoareyou? I've never seen your face, Hm?" Jeddy took off his arm that was hanging around Paul's neck, he put a slanted smile on Roswel. It seemed like Jeddy considered Roswel a criminal, making Paul who noticed his attitude only sigh.
"As I already said," replied Roswel with a friendly smile at Jeddy, raising his legs to approach the two of them. "I'm nobody." Later, Roswel's attention is diverted to Paul. "Ah, I'm sorry, but when do you want to get carried away in the atmosphere of this city and not say that to him, Mister?"
Jeddy raised his eyebrows, not understanding what the pale man was talking to Paul. But it seemed to have something to do with him, as Jeddy heard there was a word 'he' in the pale man's words, and as he said it, the pale man's eyes twitched towards him. That means 'he' that pale guy means he is, right? The more he thought about it, the more confused Jeddy became.
"Stupid!" paul snapped by folding his arms across his chest. "I can't explain it that easily, because first I have to solve the problem in this city! But it looks like it's going to be very difficult! Shit!"
"The problem in this city is solved, sir. Soon news of the defeat of the Mad Goat who controlled Groen City will spread in the country. I am sure that the natives of this city will return, return to their homes. And I'm also sure that all the members of the Mad Goat will be put in jail. And in the end, Groen City will return to peace as before," Roswel said calmly to Paul, then he also glanced at Jeddy. "You also don't worry, even if your family is in prison, their names will be cleared, because the perpetrators of the missing people incident, I have found."
Bruk!
Suddenly the door of the cupboard that stood by the door opened and dropped a person whose body was bound by chains until his whole skin was covered in blood, that person was writhing like a caterpillar, wanting to be released. He also could not speak as his mouth was taped with black duct tape. And if you look around, he's a guy that Jeddy knows.
Yes, after observing his stature and face fixed, Jeddy was sure that the person who was being tied was the father of one of his friends. "W-Aren't you-this is kidding, right!?" Jeddy could not believe this shocking reality. Jeddy was shaken until the casual attitude he used to show, vanished.
"Hows it? The matter of this city is already finished down to its roots, right, Mister?" roswel said with a friendly smile at Paul, his face looking satisfied after showing all the evidence. "So what are you waiting for? it's the right time for you to tell him, sir."
"What's up, Bro?" Jeddy turned to Paul coldly, as he was still shocked by the reality that befell his family. "Say, I'll hear it."
"You've been chosen to be a hero!" paul shouted firmly at Jeddy. "I as your mentor will accompany you to be-"
"YYYYREARGH!!"
A female scream from the next room cut Paul's words. Jeddy and Paul gasped at the screams. They immediately ran to the next room, leaving Roswel still standing quietly there.
"What's up!? Mama!?"
For the first time, Paul hears Jeddy calling her 'mama', which means his conjecture is true, that the woman in the red dress is Jeddy's real mother.
However, when Paul and Jeddy walked into the next room, they were surprised by a horned goat wearing a suit, lashing out at the woman in a red dress, until she was dragged against the wall, screaming in pain.
"J-Jeddy! Help u! Keep your dad away from me! He's hurting me! ARGH! JEDDY! QUICKLY HERE! Argh!!"
"What's? Daddy's? What's that supposed?" Both of Jeddy's eyes looked empty, he still seemed to be unable to understand the situation. "He's just a goat, right? Ma?"
"I don't understand either! Just suddenly! When I came here! Your father is changing shape into a goat! Argha! And now your father is fully a goat! But Jeddy! Hurry on! HELP ME!"
Watching Jeddy stare motionless, Paul finally approached the woman and, with all his might, pulled the horn from the goat to let the beast out of the room. After he finished removing it, Paul tied a small rope from the goat's horn to the wood so that the animal could not move freely. Then, Paul went back into the room, and he was shocked to see Jeddy sitting on the floor with his head lowered.
"Hey!? You why!? Fuckin' shit!?"
Paul approached Jeddy and patted the man on the back, and his surprise grew when he realized that the man with the green sweater was shedding tears as he forced himself to laugh. "Hahahaha, it looks like I've gone crazy, bro."
Paul was silent to hear it. Later, Paul comes to his mother Jeddy who is slumped weakly on the floor, her red dress torn to pieces from her husband who turned into a goat.
"In a moment, you'll be in jail" Paul said in a low voice. The woman weakly looked at Paul's face. "But your surname will be cleared, because the perpetrators of the missing persons incident have been found. So, you and your relatives will settle down in jail."
The woman smiled happily after hearing Paul's words, her tears streaming down her cheeks. "Thank you, thank you very much! Hicks! I'm glad to hear it!"
It did not take long until finally hundreds of police arrived at Goat Headquarters Crazy, they herded members of the Goat Crazy to enter the special box of prisoners, including carrying his parents Jeddy, to the police, one of them became a goat. And arrest the real perpetrators of the missing persons incident.
The atmosphere of Groen City was boisterous, the sirens of police cars were deafening, there were also many gunshots from some policemen chasing crazy goat members who were trying to escape. The original people of Groen City who have returned home excited to see the fanfare, they were also stunned when they heard the announcement made by the police commander that the culprit behind the disappearance of the people in Groen City was not caused by the Jeddy family, except for those who have nothing to do with the family.
Not just that. The missing have also returned, brought back to their families by police, after being found locked up in an empty building. Actually, it was all thanks to Roswel, he secretly gave the code to the police to act as directed, without having to meet face to face with them.
That night, Jeddy cried bitterly after seeing his parents arrested by the police. Paul beside her tried to calm her down, though Jeddy's cries couldn't stop. The usual relaxed attitude Jeddy showed Paul was gone, replaced with his whiny side shown. Everyone has their own side, including Paul.
After the atmosphere of the city has returned to normal, Paul pulls Jeddy into a small, deserted alley, to explain the 'it' thing to him.
"So what are you gonna say, hm?" jeddy asked after her crying stopped, leaving her eyes reddened and puffy. "What about being a hero?"
Paul was surprised Jeddy remembered it, he thought this man had forgotten about it, because when he explained the matter at the headquarters of the crazy goat, this man was in a bad mood. But Jeddy still remembers it. "Yes, about that! I know it sounds weird! But this is no joke! So don't laugh at me! Or I'll smash your face! Goddamn bum!"
Jeddy was silent for a moment, his eyes were sad looking at Paul, then he said with a very serious face. "I have no reason to live in this world anymore" Jeddy said in a gloomy tone. "But, if my body is needed by you, to be a hero or whatever it is, I'm very happy. At least, I still have a reason to continue my life in this world."
And after saying that, Jeddy smiled faintly at Paul. While Paul still can not catch the intention that Jeddy said. He looks confused.
"So? Whether you want to be a hero or not, tell me the obvious jerk!"
"Haha!" Jeddy laughed crisply at Paul's rude remark. "Don't I say it clearly, bro? Ahaha!"
Roswel who peeked behind the trash can, smiled with relief to witness this. "Thank God" Roswel said in a whispering voice. "Then let's get to the next hero, sir."
