"Why don't you ever talk to me about your classmate's attitude, Paul?"
The woman asked her son after the demon children with Olivia had returned to their homes. Now there were only the two of them in the living room, standing. Paul exhaled, he looked tired. Sweat flooded his skin, his clothes alone until it was soaked.
"I have to take a shower, Mom."
Ignoring the mother's question, Paul lifted his leg to step past the woman. Paul was too tired to explain everything from the beginning about the attitude of his friends to the mother, because from that he was actually sultry to want to take a shower immediately. The mother looked at the back of her son who walked away, she smiled a small smile with a sad face. The woman pondered; it turned out that Paul had been through a lot of bad things without her knowledge, and the boy was unwilling to talk about it.
"Paul..," she shrieked the mother in a soft voice, looking at the back of her child who was away. "Why lately, you've been looking like your dad..."
A few minutes later, after finishing his bath and changing clothes, Paul immediately fell asleep in his bed. Fatigue has forced him to sleep, but tonight is still not too late. Unlike his old self, who every night must always stay up late to watch football matches on television or on his mobile phone. I don't know, Paul also in his mind felt that slowly his life changed, especially after he was chosen to be a mentor.
There is a sense of regret in Paul's heart, it is because Paul's free time to do his 'routinity' is reduced. And that meant Paul had to manage his time as best he could, before all his time was spent searching for and guiding the heroes. But in addition, there was joy in Paul's heart. It was because there was finally someone who relied on him; that was Roswel. You see, Paul's whole life, he's never felt that he was considered useful by people, they all always thought of him as a 'trickster', 'thug, and 'bad kid'. As a result, because of the bad labels that have been attached to him, make Paul so hate himself and everyone.
However, basically, Paul was from childhood already had a rough and brutal tendency towards others. But, because of the attitude of those who do not accept it, it makes Paul's rudeness and brutality so much bigger. Just like them, Paul thought everyone was his enemy, he didn't want to trust anyone. Maybe only his family could trust Paul.
The gripping silence of the night slowly disappeared, replaced by the sound of birds chirping. Sunlight through the window of the room, hit the curtain, making the curtain look lit. And after being looked inside, it turns out Paul's bed is very neat, then, where did the master of his room go? It turns out that Paul had taken a shower and now he was looking in his closet. His appearance looked dashing, wearing a plain white t-shirt, making anyone able to see the curves of his sculpted arm muscles clearly.
For his pants, Paul chose a cargo style that has many pockets and military style. After being satisfied to see his reflection in the mirror, Paul immediately set out to continue his duties as a mentor. Fortunately, his mother was busy watering plants in the backyard, making Paul able to leave without having to leave.
Because Groen Town was not too far from Swart; where Paul lived, so he chose to take a bus that cost less. As Paul stands with some strangers at the stop, waiting for the arrival of the bus, he somehow feels he is being noticed by someone from a distance. But Paul tries to be stupid, on his mind; maybe just a freak whose job is to look at other people.
"Give it!" It turned out that Liona, one of the members of the White Cloak, was observing Paul from the roof of the building. But the girl immediately disappeared from there.
After the bus arrived in front of the stop, Paul and several people walked in an orderly manner, to enter the public transport. In the cabin, Paul was just daydreaming, watching the large buildings lined up on the sides of the road, through the window near his chair.
It only takes twenty minutes until Paul finally reaches Groen City; the residence of Jeddy, the man who was chosen to be a hero. After his foot landed perfectly on Groen's ground, he was somewhat shocked because the atmosphere of his city was so different from Swart's. It felt very quiet and quiet here, there were only a few pedestrians and a few vehicles passing by. It is very different from Swart City which is generally very crowded. As Paul recalled, when he was a child, he often visited the city of Groen and according to him the atmosphere of the city is not too different from Swart; crowded, crowded, and always heard the sound of car horns.
"Actually, what happened to this fucking city? Why so lonely, asshole!"
Paul walked alone, crossing various shops that had closed by the side of the road. Seeing the situation, Paul felt like he was visiting a dead city. Incidentally, in front of him was a hooded man who was walking alone, hastily Paul came to the man.
"Excuse me," Politely, Paul tried asking the hooded man. Making the man's footsteps pause for a moment, turning his gaze to Paul. "May I ask you something?"
The man did not answer, only looking at Paul with eyes filled with hatred. It made Paul himself so jerked at the man's eyes.
"Why do you look like-" Paul's words were immediately cut off by the hooded man.
"Looks like you're a newcomer, yeah. Get out of this town, it's too dangerous here." The man's voice sounded very reassuring in Paul's ears. Moreover, the look in his eyes, made Paul rather horrified to see it.
But, instead of being scared, Paul was even more curious about it. "dangerous? What the hell does that mean? I came here to find someone! But, please tell me, what is going on here!?"
"They" he hissed with his eyes. "They have taken control of this city. If you love your life, get out of here."
Exasperated at the ambiguous words coming out of the hooded man's mouth, Paul reflexively gripped the man's jacket collar. Then Paul put the man's head on his face, and then he spoke out loud. "Who 'them' you mean! Goddamn bum! Tell me! NOW!"
"Crazy Goat!" the man shouted at Paul, mentioning something that sounded strange. Paul immediately released the grip on the collar of the man's shirt, astonished.
"Crazy Goat!? What do you mean!?"
"That's the name of their group!" the man snapped at Paul with an extremely violent display of hatred. "Crazy Goats have taken control of this city in every aspect! Whether it's politics, economics, health, education, everything! And a lot of rumors say that the Mad Goat is actually a-"
DOR'S!
Suddenly, the man's chest was pierced by a bullet as he was about to say something that sounded very important to Paul. Blood clots spurt in the man's chest, spilled a lot. The hooded man's body immediately collapsed in front of Paul, lying limp on the surface of the pavement. Paul was surprised to see that, he immediately turned his attention to the man who had shot the hooded man.
There was a young man with green hair, a green sweater, and green shorts, who was standing tall with his right hand pointing a gun at Paul. And the young man seemed to be shaking off a cold, slanted smile.
Seeing from his appearance, Paul finally understood who the figure of the young man who was holding the gun. Yeah, no more wrong. He is Jeddy.
"Hey, tell me. How does it feel after killing a human?" paul asked with a very serious look at the green young man.His hands were tightly clenched. Anger was rushing through his bloodstream, making Paul's blood very hot.
"the taste? You want to know how that feels? Hmm, I think it's the same as killing a mosquito, it makes no difference." replied the green figure with his shoulder raised, looking calm, and without lowering his gun.
"So, yes," Paul replied with a relaxed nod of his head, although he was actually very angry. "If you hear from the words of this man, you seem to be one of the members of the Mad Goat, am I wrong, Jeddy?"
The young man gasped to hear his nickname being called by Paul, but he had not told him his name at all. The young man holding his gun was getting stronger, he did not like his personal data to be known by a newcomer like Paul.
"Yeah? Before that, who do you know my name from? Hm?" As he asked that, the young man got ready to fire his bullet into Paul's head. He's really serious about doing it.
"That's none of your business," said Paul scornfully, he stared intently at the young man with mounting resentment. "Reply answer my question! Fucking Jeddy!?"
Paul did not show the slightest fear to Jeddy, though he knew the man was holding a gun, and the weapon could be fired at any time into his head. But that was how Paul was, he always showed his courage, as if he did not care about his own life.
"What's in it for me to answer your question? You are nobody in my eyes. You'd better die with the man next to you, newcomer."
DOR'S!
Paul immediately dodged the bullet nimbly, until he fell onto the hot asphalt of the road. Then, he went back up, stood up straight. His palm still hurt from rubbing against the asphalt, but Paul endured the pain. Demi looks strong in front of the enemy. Paul does not consider Jeddy to be his main enemy.
"It's great, only this time can anyone escape my shot. What's your name, Bro?" Jeddy is stunned to see Paul's movement when he manages to dodge his super-fast bullet.
"What's in it for me to answer your question, asshole!" With a deep breath, Paul answered the question in a similar tone to Jeddy.
The atmosphere around them was completely deserted, there were only closed shops filled with beehives, deserted highways, very quiet buildings, as well as a bunch of corpses lying on the sidewalk.
Jeddy smiled faintly, then he lowered his gun and put it in his pants pocket. "Alright, Alright, I answer your question," Jeddy said as he brushed his green hair with his fingers, looking relaxed. "I'm not one of the Mad Goat group, in fact, I shot the man because he was a member of the Mad Goat, and apparently, while talking to you, I was shooting him, he secretly pulled out a knife to kill you. Can you see, right? Is there a knife lying near his body?"
Hearing that, Paul immediately turned his attention to the hooded man's corpse, and it turned out that it was true, there was a knife hanging near the body of the corpse. Really surprising. Paul looked up to see it.
"Yeah? Hows it? Do you still think of me as a bad guy? Hm?" Jeddy smiled until his teeth were exposed. "So, what's your name? Looks like you're pretty man, bro."
Paul's anger towards Jeddy slowly disappears, he begins to believe the man's words. "I'm Paul!" paul answered firmly. "Actually I came here to look for you, Goddamn Jeddy! What the fuck is wrong with this town! Really bad! I hate this town."
"Oi-oi-oi-oi, don't say that" Jeddy shook his head. "Look, this is my birthplace, bro. So all this time I always fought with my friends to drive the Mad Goat from Groen, well, even though we always failed, but we never gave up! For the return of the atmosphere of Groen City like before!"
"By the way," said Paul with a serious look. "Where are your friends? Why aren't they with you? And I hear you're always spending your time in adult clubs, is that true? And I heard, you also seem to fuck a lot of bitches, is that true? Answer me!"
Jeddy was stunned to hear everything Paul said, he was so shocked. Jeddy began to think; why could this man know all things of himself, even to his secrets as well. It's macabre. Somehow, Jeddy began to feel that all this time he was always stalked by Paul until all his disgrace was revealed.
Even though the reality is not like that at all.
"W-Why do you know all that, Bro!?" Jeddy's face was filled with tremendous panic. "Don't you, you've always been-"
"Don't be stupid!" paul snaps at Jeddy. "I know it, it's none of your business! What matters now is that everything I said was true? So answer quickly! Bastard!"
Jeddy smiled hearing that, he better just give in to a grumpy guy like Paul. "All right, I'll answer it" Jeddy said casually. "You asked where my friends were, huh? They had all left this city, last night, because it seemed like they were no longer strong enough to live here. And those grown-up clubs you said that, they're all closed. Then, about me screwing these bitch women a lot? THAT'S NOT TRUE! BRO!"
For some reason, Paul feels that everything Jeddy explains is the truth. Except for the last one, it was obvious that he was lying. But Paul didn't bother him, which is important, Jeddy was willing to be honest with him.
Then, a sensitive question flashed through Paul's head, in a low tone, he began to ask Jeddy.
"Then, where's your family?"
