MINERVO 40: Shooting The Bastards

The White Cloak is an illegal group living in the city of Sablo, the members of the white robe are assigned by their rulers to exterminate spirits that are incompatible with their ideology. Although residing in the city of Sablo, sometimes the white robes are ordered by the ruler to spread and scatter to every location in various cities, to look for spirits that they consider repugnant and harmful. The white robes were endowed with a power called teleportation, to throw various weapons prepared somewhere at the target they found, and they always activated their teleportation power from the hand, it gave off a bright light from the palm and instantly fired its attack at the targeted figure.

During the three years of the establishment of the White Cloak group, they had so far killed around one thousand five hundred and thirty-three humans in the Madelta State, he said, the reason they kill so many people is because in the bodies of these humans, there are dirty spirits that can harm humanity. Not only that, before they committed these heinous murders, they performed the ritual first to obtain permission and mercy from God. After performing the ritual, they will assume that the cruel acts they do will not cause a sin, instead, they feel that what they do is a very noble and commendable action.

As is currently going on in a narrow alley in Sablo City, they have launched a brutal attack on Naomi hiding behind a garbage can, and as the girl screams for help, to this day, no one came to his aid, not even when his whole body was smashed with boulders from the white robes to his bloody body, there still does not seem to be any help from others.

"Ughhh!" Naomi's face was battered, her nose was bleeding, her eyes were bruised, her lips were swollen, her head was hit by a stone causing serious injuries, and her stomach and legs were buried in large stones. "K-please.. ugh! W-Th-Thank me!" Naomi sobbed in place, her veil had been torn and torn off her head, making her yellow hair fall apart on the surface of the dirty and muddy alley ground. Sayup-sayup, Naomi heard laughter from the horde of white robes standing in front of her, until she saw a girl named Liona approaching her and stepped on her right arm with dirty shoes.

"I can't believe anyone survived after being hit by heavenly stones" Liona said with a chuckle, followed by a crisp laugh from the other white robes. "I admire you, you're really great" Liona smiled casually at Naomi. "I can forgive you, but unfortunately, I don't want to do it, because it's the same as me betraying God, and it's a very sinful act. So, before we actually kill you, you can say goodbye to this world. Go ahead, just say it."

Hearing that, Naomi opened her eyes to Liona's face and she started saying with trembling lips, "T-God?" Naomi coughed, spewing fresh blood into her chest, as her current position was lying on the ground. "M-Why are you saying that as if what you're doing is," Naomi's tears sagged. "S-A command from God?" Naomi grimaced as the wounds all over her body throbbed, but she continued. "W-Which I know, T-God couldn't possibly order his servant to kill a human being. W-Because I am sure, it is an evil deed and will be a great sin."

Liona held back a laugh after hearing Naomi's words, and she instantly strengthened her foot on the yellow-haired girl's arm. "For people who are dying, you can too, yes," Liona said with a dismissive smile. "But let me tell you, me and the members of the White Cloak have never done anything evil to a fellow human being. We kill humans because they keep evil spirits in their bodies, just like you. If we let people like you live, then this world will be destroyed! Perish! And DOOMSDAY!" Naomi was shocked to hear it. "So, what we are doing is a noble act, which is to save humanity from the threat of evil spirits. Doesn't that sound very heroic?"

"R-Spirit!?" Naomi seemed clueless at that. "Everybody has a spirit! And the spirit of man is not evil! Why do you think my spirit is evil!? You're the bad one here!"

Upset at Naomi's exclamation, Liona immediately raised her left leg and buried the mud-filled soles of her shoes into Naomi's face, then with a vile grin, Liona said, "Looks like you're still not aware of the evil spirit that's in your body" Liona glared her eyes at Naomi's face she was still stepping on. "You may not know it, but his evil spirit is living inside your body, and one day, he will grant you demonic powers and make you an enemy of mankind. That's why I'm doing this, so that you don't become the enemy of mankind, I'm sure, you'll understand, too, right?"

"Demon Power!? The enemy of mankind!?" Although her face is being stepped on by Liona, Naomi still insists on responding to the words of the white-robed girl. "What are you talking about!" Naomi's confusion became increasingly peaked, she did not understand what Liona said. "Since when has my body been made a place of evil spirits!? And what makes an ordinary girl like me an enemy of mankind!? Aren't you overreacting!?"

"I asked you," Liona said in a tone colder than before to Naomi, her face now looking flat. "Will anyone who has committed a sin feel guilty?" Liona exhaled a heavy breath. "Of course the answer is no, because such humans, will never realize that they have become the pawns of the demons," Then, Liona's eyeballs shifted to Naomi's eyes very sharply. "Same as you. You have committed a very great sin for being a vessel of the spirit of the devil. And apparently, you're not aware of it. Therefore, I am with my friends in the White Cloak, will clear the existence of the spirit in a way," Liona smiled faintly. "Kill you."

No tears Naomi began to drip netes, soaking her dirty cheeks trampled by Liona's shoes. "S-I don't want to! I don't want to be killed! I don't want to die! I still want to live! I-i"

BUGS!

"SILENCE!" Liona stomped her shoes again violently onto Naomi's face, until the yellow-haired girl's nose spurted fresh blood. "I hate noisy girls!" A second later, Liona chuckled to herself. "Hehehehe, after all, no matter how loud you shout, no one will come to your aid" Then, Liona's attention was drawn to the small round emblem imprinted on Naomi's neck. "Oh, so all this time I was talking to one of the Blancas, huh? It's so surprising."

"Don't bring my religion!" Naomi exclaimed with her face still in Liona's shoes. "I'd be very angry if you vilified my religion!"

"Eh? Who would have vilified your religion?" Liona raised her eyebrows, looking astonished at Naomi's attitude. "But judging from your reaction, it seems like you love your religion very much, huh?" Lione found an interesting idea in her head. "May I ask you something?" Liona chuckled with a radiant face. "Why is the Blanca religion that you consider to be something extraordinary that can be born in the world?"

"Of course because it is the truest religion on the face of the earth!" naomi said loudly, flames seemed to be churning in her eyes. "It is unfortunate for those who do not embrace the Blanca religion, that they are a lost people. Just like you! You too are a people who are saddled-"

BUGS!

Again Liona smashed her shoes into Naomi's face "I told you not to make a noise!" However, Liona's anger was instantly extinguished. "That's it, huh? You think the people who don't embrace your religion are the lost?" Liona snorted, holding back her laughter. "That means, you too are a lost people. Because to me, the humans who hold the demon spirits in their bodies are the lost. In our eyes, you're a very poor creature." Then, Liona turned to her friends who were standing behind her. "Do it one more time, let's get rid of this girl." Naomi was shocked to hear it.

THE BUAG! BRAG! BLEDAG!

Suddenly she heard the sound of a rock being beaten to shreds, curious, Naomi slowly opened her eyelids and was shocked when she saw something shocking happening in front of her. Now, in front of him, he could see there were two figures of men who were standing gallantly by smashing huge boulders flying towards him. Naomi was really surprised. "N-Isn't they-" Naomi's words were cut off when a long purple-haired figure appeared in front of her, lifting up a huge rock that was piercing her body and legs.

"We have to get out of here, Naomi," Even Naomi's shock grew even higher as the purple-haired figure mentioned her name. After the stones that overshadowed Naomi's body were removed, the long-haired figure carried her. "Let Paul and Jeddy take care of those people here. We better find a safe place." Until finally Naomi was carried by the figure of long purple hair out of the narrow alley.

"W-Who are you!?" asked Naomi with a trembling tone.

"I'm Koko" replied the figure, who was holding Naomi, with a faint smile. "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. Because I was ordered by Paul to take you to safety." Naomi remembered now, that the figure holding her was one of the three people who chased after her when she bought fruits. And more importantly, one of the three people chasing him was the rude man he had met in front of the place of worship earlier this morning.

But Naomi furrowed her eyebrows when she heard the name of this long-haired figure who was holding her. "Why do you know my name? And why does your name seem like a man?"

Koko smiled at the question.

"BRENGSEEEE!!!" Paul continues to hit the rocks that fly towards him, as well as Jeddy who is beside him.

"AHAHA! IT'S SO EXCITING! BRO!" Jeddy also seemed happy with his hands continued to smash large rocks that shot towards him. "BUT I'M CURIOUS! WHO ARE THEY, BRO!?"

Hearing that, Paul glanced at the horde of people wearing white robes, namely the perpetrators of throwing large stones that darted towards them. Paul replied loudly, "I DON'T KNOW WHO THOSE BASTARDS ARE! BUT IT'S CLEAR! WE HAVE TO SMASH THEIR FACES AFTER WE'VE FINISHED TAKING CARE OF THESE STONES!"

Jeddy and Paul grinned evilly while continuing to smash the stones that the white robes were spitting out from the light in each other's palms, even Liona to the point of annoyance of watching that, "Actually, the white robes are all coming out of the light in each other's palms, who are these kids! Just disturb!" But Liona's nose smelled a disgusting spirit scent on the body of one of the boys, precisely on the body of the green-haired man. "Ah, so, yes. One goes, the other comes. Its alright. I'm happy." Then Liona shouted at her friends. "FOCUS OUR ATTACKS ON THE GREEN HAIR BOY! BECAUSE INSIDE HIS BODY WAS A DISGUSTING SPIRIT!"

Hearing the men about to go after Jeddy, Paul immediately yelled at him, "Jeddy! You got a gun, don't you!?"

Jeddy turned to Paul, "I brought four! Bro! Why why!? Bro!?" Paul smiled at her hearing it.

"Good!" said Paul. "For me two of your guns! And you're holding your other two guns! We shot them with a combination of backs, like we did against your family in Groen City, remember!?"

Jeddy nodded his head loudly. "AHAHA! READY BRO!" Jeddy throws two of his pistols at Paul, and he also holds two of his other pistols. After that, Jeddy and Paul approached each other and turned their backs on each other while doing a ready-to-shoot pose. "Let's get started, Bro!"

"YES!" Paul grinned before the horde of white robes with sharp glaring eyes. "WE SHOT THOSE BASTARDS!"
