MINERVO 39: Those Who Re-emerge

"Why do you know that fast, Bro!?"

Now, Paul and Jeddy and Koko are at a rundown restaurant in Sablo City, sitting on a chair around a table, it seems they haven't ordered anything there because the table is still empty. But, just as Paul was about to call a waitress to order food and drinks, Jeddy suddenly exclaimed beside him, making him and Koko look towards the green man. "I mean," Jeddy said in a hasty tone. "There are so many hooded girls in this town, but you can easily find Naomi that fast!? I'm really amazed, Bro! So, how can you guess someone so easily!? Tell me the secret, Bro!"

Both of Jeddy's eyes seemed wide open and shiny, showing such great curiosity in Paul's actions that he thought were extraordinary. As a result of the question, Paul became silent for a moment and looked at Jeddy's face seriously. "You want to know why I can guess someone so easily!?" Jeddy nodded his head in excitement. "That's because of instinct!" paul said with an expression of pride. "I can find the person I'm looking for easily, because I use instinct!"

Not understanding the term, Jeddy immediately asked Paul, "What's an intring, Bro!?"

"Insting! Not intring! You idiot!" paul snapped at Jeddy with eyes that glared like a teacher scolding his student. "Hear this! That instinct is instinct! Or it can be said like a stimulus to something that makes us sensitive to some things that will, are, and must happen around us! That's how short!" obviously Paul grumbled at Jeddy. "You understand no!? Goddamn bum!"

"Whoah! So that's it, yeah, Bro! I just found out about that!" Jeddy hit his own palm, and his face became even more excited after hearing Paul's explanation. "So in short so that I can be sensitive to things, then I have to rely on instinct, yes, Bro!"

Koko, who was sitting in front of them, tried to join the conversation by asking Paul a question, "But I was surprised why you brought us to this restaurant, Paul's? Wouldn't we just stay there, wait for Naomi to come out of that vaulted building?" Paul's gaze quickly shifted to Koko, then by taking a deep breath, he began to answer the question.

"Because we don't deserve to be there!" Suddenly, Paul's answer made Koko and Jeddy look at each other until they finally showed expressions of not understanding simultaneously. "All right! I'll explain!" paul said, understanding the incomprehension of Koko and Jeddy. "The vaulted building, in my opinion, is a special place of worship for the people of Blanca! You see, when I confronted Naomi, the girl said that she would go in there to worship! From there I began to conclude that the building was a sacred place! And just so you know, I don't like being in places like that!"

Koko and Jeddy knit their eyebrows, they are still confused about some things in Paul's explanation. "Then," Koko again voiced in a smooth tone. "If it's a holy place, why are you shouting to marry Naomi in front of the building. Honestly, me and Jeddy are still curious about it." Suddenly Paul's face became reddened with shame, he forgot that his screams when it was also heard by Koko and Jeddy. Paul became nervous, as he hesitated where to explain it from.

"Th-That's nothing! I'm just trying to get that girl to obey me!" paul said with a glance in the other direction, throwing his face away from his friends who were looking at him. However, Paul suddenly kicked the table tight. "That damn girl! I still remember what he said! He acted as if he was the noblest in the world! I hate those kind of people!"

"What do you mean, Bro!?" Jeddy raised his eyebrows, looking curious at the expression Paul said. "Did Naomi say something bad to you, Bro!?"

"He told me we were Eris! Which according to his religious teachings, are heretical humans who will fuel the fire of Hell!" Paul gritted his teeth in annoyance. "I was really upset when I heard it!"

"I thought it would be like this" Paul and Jeddy turned their attention to Koko as the man spoke with a sad face. "Actually, I know exactly how the Blanche religion treats humans who are not part of its people. They always think people like us are bad, perverted, immoral, evil, and disgusting human beings" Koko's lips trembled as she said that. "I also cannot simply blame them, because other religions are the same, always consider themselves the noblest, and consider human beings who are not part of their religion, it is a lost creature. I know that, and I'm restless thinking about it."

Jeddy gulped when he heard it, he really only knew about the concept of religion, because in Groen City, the people do not have such a religious guideline to perfect life, he said, because there prefer to do good among fellow human beings. So, Jeddy felt that something called religion, sounds complicated and quite confusing. Then, as his head grew murky with dizzying explanations, Jeddy began to ask, "What is the purpose of religion, Bro!?"

"Wow! Isn't that bad, Bro!?" said Jeddy with wide eyes so shocked.

"Forget over that!" sergeant Paul violently makes Koko and Jeddy turn their faces to him. "What we're talking about here is Naomi! I don't care about any religion! Anyway my job here is to tell Naomi that she is a hero! And your job is to accompany me and help me!" Then, Paul cleared his throat. "But before that, I was hungry. So we'll eat here for a while."

Finally, Paul called the waiter to order some food and drinks at his desk, and a few minutes waiting, the order came and was available at the table. Paul, Jeddy, and Koko eat together in the slum restaurant, they look relieved because the hunger that makes the stomach sound rumbling has been vanished by the delicious food and drinks.

"Which!" Jeddy patted his own stomach which began to bulge because it was just filled, after he was with Paul and Koko out of the restaurant. "I didn't expect that the food in the shabby restaurant could be that good, Bro! I thought the food would be mediocre! Ahhaha!" Jeddy nodded after saying that.

The three of them were now walking on the edge of the city, stepping on the sand-covered ground and enjoying the view of the city which was filled with several camels that were boarded by their owners, the animals were seen walking leisurely on the highway, obeying the orders of the person riding on his back, making Jeddy stunned, because it was indeed the first time he had seen a camel directly in his life. Koko chuckles at Jeddy's silly behavior. Whereas Paul only displayed a flat face, he was not interested in anything that was in Sablo City.

Until finally, something caught his attention. "That's Naomi!" Paul pointed to the figure of a girl who was buying fruits at the lesehan store on the side of the road. Naomi, with her bright yellow veil, was seen crouched in front of an uncle who was cross-legged, while peddling fruits on a mat. "We're after him!" Seeing Paul running, Jeddy and Koko follow him from behind. Aware of three figures coming to him, Naomi was surprised and she immediately took three melons on the mat and threw the fruits into the face of Paul, Jeddy, and Koko. After doing that, Naomi immediately paid for three melons that she threw freely at the seller's uncle, until finally, she immediately ran fast, leaving Paul, Jeddy, and so on, and Koko who fell due to hit by melon.

"What do those people really want from me!" naomi said with a breath of breath after she hid behind a garbage can inside a narrow alley. "What sin have I committed to be pursued by three Eris's like this" Naomi sobbed, sad at her poor fate. "O Lord, forgive me if I have anything wrong, please, protect me from the temptations of the damned demons, especially from the pursuit of the Eris. I am truly sorry if I have sinned, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Please forgive me, my God."

"It's just right that I smell the stench from earlier," Suddenly there was a voice of a girl who was quite piercing behind Naomi. "So it came from you, huh?" When Naomi turned her head back, she was shocked because right now, in front of her was a horde of white robed people, and in the front row, she was shocked, there was a figure of a long blonde girl who was grinning vilely at him. "Not wrong, by the smell, you have a disgusting spirit in your body."

"E-Eh!? W-Who are you!?" Naomi's heart was pounding loudly, as the white-robed men had expressionless faces and it was creepy, except for the blond girl, whose expression became even more cruel when viewed carefully.

"I am Liona," said the blonde girl with eyes that stared intently at Naomi. "And I'm with my friends this is from the White Cloak group," Liona revealed a demonic sneer on her face. "And the duty of the White Robes is to eliminate that disgusting spirit in your body. Of course, we did this at God's mercy," Then the White Cloak people let out light in his hands. "Just be calm, after we have eliminated the spirit that is in your body, we will also work so that you can live eternally in Heaven."

Seeing that there were large stones coming out and darting towards her from the hands of those white robed people, made Naomi frightened and screamed hysterically.
