The Monster In Me

The Monster In Me
The Fucked Family

“Yearly test results came out. There is one person who got perfect grades.”

All the students in blue white uniforms in the room clapped lazily. During the three years they studied at Junior High, only one person often became a champion in their class. Therefore, they were no longer excited nor hoping to become someone whose name was proudly called by the teacher.

“Congratulations to Adira Marwa Bernadette! I'm really proud of you.”

The student who was the center of attention only nodded his head slowly before returning his attention to the notebook before him. Never once did he feel happy to win the class, because his parents always said that it was not something he should be proud of. His new father and mother will celebrate his achievements if he succeeds in becoming the best student at the national level.

And that feels quite impossible, considering that her highly intelligent brother just won the municipal champion.

Despite that, Adira is quite relieved to find herself having potential. He just has to try harder.

“See! He's like that again! Not smiling at all!”

“Bogged basis!”

“Surely he wants to show that good grades are nothing for him.”

There were a lot of students whispering behind his back. Things are common every time Adira manages to make an achievement. Once Adira never got bothered with it. As long as no one dared to physically harm her, Adira would continue to flinch.

Until one day, someone actually dared to stand arrogantly in front of him.

“What do you want?” ask Adira ketus. He had no time to talk to classmates. SMP The country where the school is only providing a short lunch break. Adira has to use it to go to the library and buy lunch that she can eat secretly while studying. “Keep out of my sight! You're blocking the path.”

The girl that Adira did not know her name at all then snorted. “What is smart if you don't have friends?” insinuations. Complete with his eyes that rolled so annoyingly. Adira almost hit that shitty eyeball to stop moving.

Of course he wouldn't do that. If until the girl in front of him was injured and became blind, he would be exposed to a huge problem. Therefore, Adira chose to swing her legs to kick the foreign girl hard.

“Aaaah! Mamaaa!” The girl screamed and ended up on the floor. Crying loudly to attract the attention of many students outside the room and teachers who were passing by. Even so, Adira remained standing leisurely on the spot.

Even when the girl he hurt was transported to the UKS, Adira followed in the footsteps of the teacher who asked him to come to the Headmaster's office quietly. His two eyes were staring flatly around, as if not a single thing could draw any emotion from within him.

He remained that way even though a few hours later his parents came with the parents of the girl he attacked. The girl herself is invisible.

“Our son should get treatment at the big Hospital because his leg is swollen,” said a pair of foreign humans who just kept staring at Adira sharp.

“I didn't kick him that hard,” Adira chirped while clicking her tongue.

However, Adira will never obey anyone, no matter how scary her parents are, the girl knows that they will never be able to hurt her. Especially with the presence of a tall and handsome young man who was now entering the Headmaster's office with a breath of breath.

“Adnan! What are you here for?” Irwan was really surprised to find his eldest son coming when the day had not yet entered the afternoon. Adnan should still be studying at his school.

Adnan glanced at the Goddess at a glance before rushing over and squatting in front of Adira. “You're okay, right?”

For the first time that day, Adira smiled brightly. “Hai, Brother!” He chose to greet his favorite person instead of talking about the current unpleasant situation.

Hearing Adira's cheerful voice, Adnan's worried expression slowly faded. Both eyes looked at the brother. “Halo, Dir. What the hell is this? Brother thought you would start trying to make friends at your age?” ask Adnan gently. He was not at all bothered by the presence of the adults who were now watching their conversation.

Adira raised one of her eyebrows before sniffing her shoulders. “I guess I should do it starting tomorrow.”

Adnan pinched both cheeks of the sister with anxiety. “Sister, right, asked you to start as soon as possible,” said the young man with a heavy sigh. “Alright, prove it tomorrow. For now, you wait outside, yeah. Let the adults finish it all.”

Almost Adira sneered at the words of her brother who still considered her immature. His body is not too high, but he is still a 3rd year junior. Why does Adnan always treat her like a child?

Even so, the girl still obeyed the advice of her brother and walked out of the room. Little did he care about the protest that came out of the mouth of the girl's parents that he kicked.

And if after returning home he saw Irwan beat Adnan all-out, Adira would just lock himself up and study in the room. Act as if he doesn't care what's going on, as usual.

It's just that, sometimes there are times where he can no longer pretend. Especially when the sound of broken objects continues to be heard from the bottom floor. Inevitably, Adira follows her curiosity and goes sidetracking to see how angry Irwan is that his father sounds like he is going to destroy their residence.

“Stand there and don't you dare move one bit! If you get hurt more than this, then it's not Dad's fault!” irwan snapped while pointing at Adnan's body with a golf club.

While the young man who had been filled with many wounds was now just standing down in the corner of the family room. Surrounded by many broken flower vases, table surface glass, and other fragments that Adira could not recognize. Judging from the presence of some black viscous liquid that littered the floor, Adira thought, in addition to slamming things in the family room, her father also threw her own cup of coffee.

Boldly, Adira showed her presence blatantly. The girl walked up to the father with a bold and questionable look. He deliberately ignored Adnan's gaze which continued to shake his head. Ask him to stop whatever he is going to do and return to the room immediately.

No more words of retreat. Now Irwan has realized Adira's presence and seems to take a deep breath to hold his emotions.
