“Everything is ready?” Danita looked at the disciples who were still holding out with her one by one. Make sure everything has stood upright and is ready to continue the journey back.
The young teacher felt Trisha standing beside him, squeezing her hands with a slight tremble. However, he just let it go without saying anything. “If you have, we leave now. Please lead the way, Mr. Gunawan.”
Gunawan nodded and was just about to turn around when Trisha suddenly shouted. “Tu-wait! Are we really just going to leave Karsa? What if we end up meeting with the rescue team and ... and they have a cure to turn the zombies back into humans? Maybe we should take Karsa with us.”
“And you will take his hand? Or even carry his body? I will agree only if you are willing to do it,” replied Evan ketus. He no longer held back in front of Trisha, the girl he once liked. The only thing Evan was thinking about right now was his own safety.
“A-what? Of course not!” reject Trisha. Hurriedly he looked at the young man beside him. “Maybe Abian wants. He's, right, enough experience about zombies.”
“Enak! Just because I love horror and thriller movies, doesn't mean I enjoy them in the real world!" Abian shook his hands in a frenzy. “Actually I don't have the heart either, but how else? He is no longer the Karsa we know! So, you better get over it quickly, Trisha!”
“So that's what you want? All right, let's see it later! When your turn comes, would you also like to be left alone by your friends and teachers?”
“Abian, Trisha, please calm down!” reprimand Danita finally. He slightly glanced towards Evan who remained silent, deep in his own thoughts. Danita keeps feeling something strange about Evan, but she herself doesn't know what it is. Rather than continue to think about it, Danita chose to try to focus on the positive, one of which was how Evan was able to refrain from engaging in prolonged debates with Trisha and Abian.
Because if his three students were really going to continue to denounce each other endlessly, Danita did not know anymore what she should do.
“Not one of us will bring Karsa,” continued Danita again after Trisha and Abian were silent. “Karsa will be fine here. We never saw any zombies hurting each other. So, if what Trisha says is true happens, that there is a cure for all of this, we just need to get back here with the authorities.”
Gunawan who was standing next to Danita nodded. “Bu Danita right, kids. After all, even if we force ourselves to carry Karsa, we will only endanger ourselves. For now, come on, focus on safety together.”
Evan nodded lazily beside Abian who sighed in relief. Meanwhile, Trisha seems to dislike her teacher's decision and keeps glancing towards Karsa who is now not moving much behind the cover cloth that Danita put on her. Both of Trisha's eyes stared softly. Although he did not like or even love Karsa too deeply, still the young man had a special place in his heart.
Therefore, no matter how often Karsa drove her away, Trisha could never really leave Karsa. No matter how clearly Karsa showed his dislike, the girl stuck to him like a stamp. The figure that Trisha sees is just a cool figure Karsa who always acts calm and tries hard to achieve everything he wants. Including when Karsa tried hard to win the heart of Adira. No matter how ill Trisha witnessed it, Trisha accepted everything and kept the spirit approaching Karsa.
And now when one of his life's ardors has to leave for a cause he never thought possible, it's hard enough for Trisha to accept it all.
“Be careful. Pay attention to where you stand,” Gunawan's edict while holding tight to one of the replica poles of the royal palace that had been their place of residence. The man moved down very carefully. Keep yourself from falling while hugging the long iron pipe that he just released from the edge of the balcony. “If you feel unable, just wait. I'll find other things to make a foothold.”
Trisha, who was about to descend just after Gunawan, almost screamed as his hands were slippery with sweat. He hugged the pole with all his strength. Not one bit he dared to move down, although Evan who was waiting for his turn kept shouting impatiently. “Pak Gunawan said he would get me something!” Trisha shouted back while trying to get back to the balcony.
Below, Gunawan who had run away is now back while pushing a large iron barrel, still hugging the pipe. The sound caused from the friction of the barrel and asphalt was loud enough to make everyone hold their breath involuntarily. Sooner or later they will immediately attract the attention of the zombies around. They must be prepared to face the worst possible.
Trisha and friends and Danita have not yet stepped off the second-floor balcony, and the iron barrel Gunawan has brought is of little help. They still have to hold onto the pole to slide down. They no longer have much energy left.
The male teacher took the initiative to store the pipe on the asphalt, then climbed into the iron barrel and spread his hands up. Be alert if anyone falls while trying to get down.
“Quiet, Trisha. Its alright. If not strong, just let go,” said Gunawan when he saw Trisha began to cry with closed eyes and body shaking violently.
Eventually, either out of steam or indeed trusting Gunawan completely, Trisha relinquishes her grip and ends up being captured by Gunawan. After being calm enough, the girl finally managed to land from the iron barrel safely.
Not long after, Evan, Abian, and Danita manage to get down without any significant difficulty. In an instant they were now walking in a row, with Gunawan still leading in front, while Danita was keeping watch at the back. They were all holding long iron pipes that were stretched from front to back. Forming its own fence. Their plan almost went very smoothly, if only Gunawan did not get a surprise attack from zombies hidden behind the ruins of the accessories booth.
“Argh! Thats okay! You can handle this!” gunawan shouted while holding back the zombie head using both hands with all his might.
The man then fell onto the asphalt, still holding the zombie neck with all his might. The zombie whose face was no longer in shape continued to growl in front of the teacher's face, while the other four people could only scream without actually providing any help. A desperate Abian finally removed his grip from the pipe, took a swing, and ran towards the zombie in front of Gunawan.
Bruk!
