Firda fell right after he stepped on the last rung of stairs. He sat down and covered his face with both palms. Crying in silence. Although until now he did not know what exactly he was crying.
Because there are so many things that he regrets.
However, he could not linger in the sadness. After all, he had done many things to save his own life. All of this should not end in vain. Finally, Firda looked up and opened his eyes. The sky was already really bright, a sign that daylight was near. What day is this? Firda did not know and did not want to think about it. The only thing he really wanted to know was how Adira was doing right now.
“Surely he's a zombie, right? Or did he manage to save Adnan's sister and survive?”
On the other hand, the girl that Firda kept thinking about was standing staring blankly at the body of the older sister who was no longer intact. Together with the undead zombies lying down and no longer moving, Adnan's figure did not look better. Though the young man died as a human, despite having to lose many parts of his body, especially a quarter of his head, but at a glance Adira saw a lot of similarities with the bodies of his brother's bodies with the bodies of the zombies.
The girl was too astonished to feel the bite wounds she suffered so much on some parts of the body. Arms, legs, to waist, all decorated with wounds that form a curved pattern and slightly torn. Under normal circumstances, Adira may have screamed in pain and no longer be able to stand. However, he was now just unmoved on the spot, while feeling how a great turmoil slowly erupted within him. Adira was unable to explain it in words, but she clearly sensed that something strange was now inhabiting her every stream of blood.
Adira took her eyes off the older brother and began to look at his own hands. The hand shook like the hand of someone who was scared. Adira was not afraid at all. Quite the contrary, he felt a tremendous amount of courage begin to envelop his entire body.
Some of the zombies left with their bodies crushed by Adira are now no longer interested in the brothers, and immediately continue their journey to follow the strains of the Playground song. The song no longer sounded loud and only appeared occasionally. It seems that it managed to maintain the interest of zombies to keep following him.
Slowly, only Adira and Adnan remained, when suddenly the sound of many things falling. Adira looked up and looked at the figure of the young man who had fallen after a face-to-face fight with him. Plenty of food and soft drinks lay around the young man.
“I was bitten,” said Adira honestly. “I tried to save my brother, but it was too late and I was bitten. That means I'll be a zombie soon, right?”
Zean stared at Adnan's body and Adira alternately. Carefully, he stood up. Both of his hands stretched forward as he asked, “What are you Adira?”
Unfortunately, Adira's head was already filled with various questions that left her confused so she could not hear Zean's questions. The girl continued to mutter to herself while feeling all the changes that had happened to her. “I will soon be the same creature as the one who killed my brother. I'll be a zombie.” Suddenly Adira looked up and glared at Zean. “Go! Before I hurt you!”
Zean blinked his eyes in confusion before turning to his right and left. “Wait a minute here! It was like I was passing through a drugstore or something. I'll be right back.”
I want Adira to laugh. Some medicine? Wh-wh-what for? His condition was no longer helped. He will soon lose his consciousness and humanity. He may no longer be able to recognize everyday objects. So, why would the young man bother to go and promise to return?
‘Ah, or maybe it's just a reason not to be embarrassed while running away?’ thought Adira while smiling here. He started to laugh until he finally laughed. Feeling how his emotions can no longer be controlled properly.
Adira falls to the side of Adnan's remains.
“I'm sorry, Brother. I'm a useless sister,” murmured slowly while laying down. Closing his eyes for a moment.
However, for him it had been a long time since he had been bitten. Adira began to wonder why she had not changed. He had never witnessed the human-to-zombie transformation directly, but he thought the transformation process would not take too long. He should have been roaring in place by now, with the joints of the body flexed in various directions as well as both eyes flushed horribly.
Bizarrely. Adira opened her eyes and realized that she still had full consciousness. “What's my name? Adira Marwa Bernadette, the younger sister of Adnan Mizan Bernadette. The son of Irwan and Dewi and I are 1st grade High School students. I was on tour when the zombie attack happened.” The girl started muttering to herself to make sure her knowledge of her was still intact. There was nothing he had forgotten that indicated that his memory was fine.
Only one thing has changed.
Adira got up and took the nearest object, a UFO toy that came out of nowhere. And with all his strength he slammed the thing firmly on the asphalt. That poor toy ended up smashed to pieces. One of the faults floated up and scratched Adira's cheekbones, almost touching her eye bags. However, the girl did not react at all. He quickly grabbed another object and began to do the same.
The only thing Adira felt so strongly about right now was her desire to rampage so strongly. He really could not help it, as if his purpose in living in the world was to destroy everything.
The girl began to open her mouth wide and bite her own fingers. His bite was so strong, Adira did not think that he had ever used his teeth this strong before. He just released the bite after feeling that his fingers were almost broken. Adira still wants to have a whole body even though later he has turned into a whole monster.
“True. I am a monster. I am different from the zombies because I still have my consciousness,” Adira said proudly. Both of his eyes were squealing horribly. He no longer even looked at his brother's body wistfully and just passed through it casually.
Adira approached a collection of iron barrels containing many litres of solar fuel rides. He easily pushed and made many of the barrels fall down and drained their contents. Adira kicked his leg until it caused a lot of holes there. Satisfied Adira wears a thin smile.
He could feel the tremendous energy in his body waiting for him to detonate.
