“Kids whose homeroom teacher Bu Danita must be happy, yes. They are guided by a good, gentle, and caring teacher,” said one of the senior female teachers sitting in front of Danita.
Danita who was originally ready to eat a bowl of chicken noodles that had just been delivered by Ibu Kantin then fell silent. “A-what, Bu?”
The senior teacher laughed softly. “Aduh, no need to be shy so. All the teachers also know that Ms. Danita is a favorite of children! If I was, anyway, already famous fierce. As soon as the students who saw me, they would instantly run in fear.”
“Ah, Mom could have.” Uncomfortable, Danita lowered her head. It was as if the noodles as well as the piece of meat in the bowl before him looked extremely attractive. Danita really hopes that the senior teacher can understand that he does not want to talk to. Especially if the topic of conversation is related to his wife as a teacher.
Because in fact, even though he has worked as an honorary teacher for more than two years, Danita is still very doubtful about his ability and quality in teaching and providing the best example for students. Not infrequently he felt afraid of giving a wrong understanding, or accidentally hurt children with his words.
And what Danita fears most is her habit of pinching or picking up boys. Somehow he always had bad thoughts about teenage boys, such as the thought that they had to be educated a little harder in order to comply. Though he always tried to convince himself that it was not true, but still, the old beliefs will not be removed easily.
“Do not think! Teachers are human too. Just like the students.I also still need a lot to learn,” muttered Danita inwardly while twisting the noodles with a fork. He devoured and chewed it in a hurry to the point of almost choking. A glass of mineral water is almost gone.
He thought that he would be able to forget his guilt, but he did not. All that anxiety just accumulates from day to day. It grew so bad that he almost lost his own control. Danita felt so bad and helpless. To think that everyone also knows the shortcomings.
Until finally, when he entered the class where the students were joking with each other, Danita could barely control her own emotions. He pulled out Abian's ears wearing a strange mask and scratched his own face with red paint. Danita's thumb and index finger appear to be whitened from the way she tautly pulled. Luckily, it only took a few seconds until he finally realized what he was doing. Danita let go of Abian's ear by slightly pulling it by accident. Until the young man grimaced.
Until now Danita still remembers how moody Abian's expression was back then. The young master unceasingly glanced at the young man who was now hiding behind a large tree, across from his current position. Keep an eye on the movement of the zombies around before returning to continue the journey.
“For so long I have been a bad teacher,” Danita thought with a slow sigh. “I have never tried to really understand each student's character well, and just be gentle to the female students who I thought had better personalities than the male students.”
Danita clenched both hands until her nails stuck into her own palms. He felt pain and pain, but he did not complain in the least. Both eyes stared around with care while taking into account his position and the position of his student son who still survived with him.
“I know this place. I saw it from the map near the gate when I just got to this place.” Danita bit her lower lip while thinking. “If not wrong, near here there is another gate devoted to the exit and exit of the bus between rides .. wait!”
But there is no time to think about that. The most important thing right now is that Danita has to find a way to save the students. And if possible, find other students who may still survive in their respective locations.
The young teacher then felt a pain in his chest when he realized that not one bit he thought that there would be a colleague of his profession who still survives. How else would you like? Because most teachers who participate in the work of this tour are old enough or have a disease that is quite debilitating the body. Danita is not sure they will be able to survive in the middle of all the attacks and the pressure from the attacks of many undead in almost the entire Playground area.
Even so, now he was beginning to hope that there would be at least one fellow teacher coming. For Danita did not know until when she was able to survive. He begins to worry about the safety of the students if until he gives up and chooses to leave this world rather than having to continue fighting against zombies.
It seems that, behind all the sins Danita has ever committed, she still has enough goodness to invite good luck. When he did not find a way to guide the students out of hiding safely, suddenly someone came and threw something from one of the roofs of the toilet building not far from there. That person also swung a few sticks that had been burning violently towards the zombie horde until finally the fire started to flare up. The flame was not too large to ignite a fire that would devour the entire undead, but enough to distract.
“Ke here! Over here!”
Danita heard the figure yelling at her. The woman squinted her eyes to find out who was calling her.
Danita hastily closed her gaping mouth. Both of his eyes were glazed by the overflow of happiness that encompassed his mind. “Pak Gunawan!” call him after being convinced that his senior teacher was indeed standing not far away from him.
Realizing that this is not the right time for her to celebrate the safety of her fellow professionals, Danita then returned to concentrate on finding ways to bring the students to the place where Gunawan was shown safely. Because the path they will go through is not completely free from the zombies.
“Abian! Evans! You guys go first! Run as fast as you can and don't look back! They won't be able to match your speed!” edict Danita then while looking at the two students she had just called. Steadily Abian and Evan nodded, although the faces of the two still looked frightened.
After making sure the two students can actually run while avoiding the remaining zombies, Danita approached Karsa and Trisha who had been hiding not far from him. “Come, it's our turn! Since we can't move as fast as Abian and Evan, we have to be vigilant and protect each other. Understand?”
As much as possible Danita kept her expression to look brave. Though she also wanted to whine and cry like Trisha who hugged her tightly at this moment.
