The Monster In Me

The Monster In Me
Towards the Information Center

“Easy talking! I-I cannot move at all!” Abian groaned violently feeling all the muscles in his body stiffen, “A little bit I let go of one of my hands, I think I will fall straight away!”

Evan pushed the inside of his cheek with his tongue. “Ck. Damn it,” taunted him without feeling. Lazily he reached out his hand without leaning in the least. Obviously, he did not really intend to help Abian.

“Aish! I told you I can't raise my hand even a little!” Abian really could not stand Evan's attitude anymore. If Evan does not like to be friends with him, why until now Evan continues to survive? Obviously the young man often grumbled because he felt aggrieved by the number of their entourage which was quite a lot, but why Evan still helped everyone even half-heartedly?

Questions arose in Abian's mind. Had he known Evan's true intentions ….

Abian had not had time to rethink his next move, he felt one of his arms being pulled. Apparently somehow since when Evan has been lying on the side of the basket with both legs coiled on one of the poles connected to the roof. It was quite surprising to see how shrewd and powerful Evan controlled his body. Whereas all this time Abian considers that Evan is just a crazy nerd learning weak and likes to be alone.

There's no point thinking about that. Abian now focuses all his focus on saving himself. Boldly he took off one of his handles to grab the hand of Evan who had held his arm. He tightened his lips tightly as his hand only needed to be raised a little more to grab Evan's hand.

However, when Abian just touched Evan's fingertips, Evan pulled his hand away.

Both of Abian's eyes were wide. He did not stop staring at Evan even as he plunged freely down.

Brak!

“Aaakh!” Abian groans violently. Everything happened so fast. His brain was not even fully aware that he was falling, until now he had been wriggling on the asphalt. Abian only realized what happened after he was already at the bottom.

It is now curled up on the asphalt of the Cakrabuana Playground. Grimacing feels pain in most of his body, especially in the buttocks. He could not remember clearly at all, but it seemed that his butt landed first before he rolled to the side and made his head and one of his sides hit the asphalt hard.

Evan showed absolutely no reaction after witnessing all that. Now he just waved his hand at Abian while saying something that would probably make anyone's blood boil. “The distance is not too high, do not exaggerate! Your bones won't break!” Evan turned to the right and left for a while before looking back at Abian. “If from earlier you jump bravely, surely you will not fall too hard and suffer like this. It's all your own fault, yes, not mine! I'm actually helping you not to suffer for longer because of hanging.”

“Evan! You ...”

“You better get going! Ms. Danita and the others are on the roof of the building where we split up earlier. Go, hurry! Before any zombies come!”

Not wanting to throw away his strength only to get back to arguing with Evan, Abian finally forced himself to get up. He groaned loudly as he felt excruciating pain in his ankle, but he continued to push himself by remembering that he was not in a safe place. A little care his life could end.

In his heart he continues to curse Evan who made him do all this, the zombies who have ruined his peaceful life, the newly opened but already disastrous Cakrabuana Playground, as well as the school that conducts tourist works without really ensuring the safety of the students who participate.

Abian blames everything for his current suffering. However, in the slightest he did not consider leaving behind his chaotic life. He was determined to return home safe. Because no matter how much he suffers now, he can still strengthen himself because he thinks of his entire family who is most likely waiting for his return home.

Therefore, without wasting any more time, Abian began to walk quickly to meet Danita, Gunawan, and Trisha. Evan is cruel and infuriating, but Abian believes the bookworm's plan will succeed in bringing them out of this hell.

It didn't take long for him to get to where the three people were. Apparently, Danita herself plans to invite Gunawan and Trisha to approach Evan and Abian. The young master continued to feel uneasy at the thought of his two students who had chosen to part for a while.

“Gosh! Abians! What's wrong with you?” danita asked frantically while holding both sides of Abian's head. He carefully observed the body of the disciple from head to toe. He grimaced to see that most of Abian's clothes were dirty and her skin was covered in blisters.

Abian himself had enough difficulty to continue standing. Now his body is bent while he holds his own knee. However, no matter how many times Danita asked what had happened, Abian kept shaking her head and only asked Danita and the others to move quickly.

“Evan has a plan,” he said slowly. “She said she'll be here soon after observing the situation a little more. When the time comes, we should be ready and running as fast as possible towards the Information Center.”

“Information Center?” trisha asked in a loud voice. “If it's not wrong, Ms. Danita said the place is on the opposite side of the exit gate. Wouldn't we be getting further away from our goal? Actually, what did Evan think?”

The girl continued to ask in panic. He even hugs Danita's arm, asking the teacher to cancel Evan's risky plan. However, immediately Gunawan made him speechless as the man raised one of his hands.

“Definitely Evan is eyeing the Information Center to broadcast a loud voice,” guess Gunawan. Sometimes he rubbed his chin while thinking hard. “Bapak think that's a pretty good idea. As long as we are here, we have never seen too many zombies in one place other than when we were trapped earlier. Though certainly there are still many undead that spread in various places. Waiting for an opportunity to attack us when we are off guard.”

“So, what do you mean?” danita asked confused. “Can you explain more simply? So that I can decide whether we will really follow Evan's plan or not.”

“I mean, by fishing all the zombies in the Playground to gather in one place, we can move more freely,” explained Gunawan. He said slowly and patiently. The desperate situation did not panic him at all, although he occasionally had to stop because of the pain from his wounds that were still not treated properly. “It's a good idea. I think we should just follow the lead from Evan.”
