Abrine decided to go back to his office. Once in front of the lobby, he passed Anne who also just finished a meeting outside with Mr. Alison's.
"Is the meeting going well?" tanya Abrine and was taken by Anne.
They walked in tandem to the room Abrine in on the 3rd floor. But not yet reached the elevator, the receptionist voice called Abrine because it had just realized the arrival of the girl.
"Ehm, Miss Abrine .. There are guests waiting for you."
Abrine nodded, "Who?" tanyanya while turning around was about to head for the reception room.
"Mr Rodriguez."
Abrine sighed softly. "All right, I'll see him."
Abrine knew that the man would not be waiting for him in the living room like other guests, because Raymond Rodriguez was used to going straight to his room on the 3rd floor.
Anne saw another image of Abrine's face. Usually, if you hear the name Rodriguez called, the girl's face will immediately crisp and blush. Another thing with today.
"You okay, Miss?"
"uh? Fine, everything's fine." Abrine enters the elevator with the door open with Anne.
Anne sat at her desk in front of Abrine's room, while Abrine himself sighed for a moment before pressing on the doorknob.
"Why won't you answer my phone, Brine?"
As soon as Abrine entered, Raymond immediately questioned him.
Abrine forced to review the smile. His heart was actually not ready to see Raymond again at this moment. But even if he hadn't met Raymond in a single week, they would have been looking for each other. That was their habit long ago.
"You're not working?" Abrine tried to divert the conversation. He placed the bag on the desk and stood not far from Raymond, folding both hands in front of his chest. To be honest, he was trying to be ordinary in front of Raymond, although in fact, every time he saw a handsome face and remembered the kindness of this young man to him, his heart always wavered and again felt that pain.
"Don't switch the conversation, Brine..." Raymond glanced, he got up from his seat and stood by Abrine. "You didn't even tell me you were out of the hospital."
Abrine grinned, of course he had to do in front of Raymond.
"Sorry, I don't think I need to tell you everything I do. I don't think it matters much."
Raymond smiled faintly at Abrine. "You know that you're always important to me, don't you?" softly said.
For some reason since Abrine claimed to be jealous of Raymond and since the young man also admitted that he liked Abrine, Raymond's behavior changed to be more softened this way. Although Raymond has been kind to Abrine since long ago, but now it seems there is something different from his attitude and speech.
Abrine nodded, not daring to look into the eyes of Raymond who seemed to plunge right into his heart. Now, his heartbeat is pounding. Sia lan, the taste was still very strong for Raymond.
"I'm worried about you. Why are you working, hmm?" Raymond approached and noticed the bandage on Abrine's temple at close range. "Brine, the wound behind the bandage hasn't even dried yet" he continued.
Lookie! Abrine foolishly kept quiet and enjoyed the protective attitude Raymond had put him in.
Abrine complained, along with that Raymond also lowered his gaze. Now, in the distance between the two, they meet each other.
Raymond's fingers gradually tidied up Abrine's hair slowly, washing the girl away to make her fall asleep and cursing. Seeing that, Raymond did not want to waste a chance, he also slashed the remaining distance between them.
Abrine could feel the warmth of Raymond's breath very close to him. This was the moment he was waiting for. During this time, he had never been in contact with men other than for matters involving muscle strife, foreignness, and social activities. Unlike when he was with Raymond, their relationship was indeed established as close friends and took care of each other for a long time. Maybe this is the time, the time for them to be together not as friends anymore, but ....
Abrine threw away the instant vision, but Raymond's lips almost landed softly. He pushed softly on Raymond's chest and then inched away from the young man's position.
Raymond looked at him with a look of disbelief, rather disappointed. What was Abrine thinking? They almost kissed just now, initially accepting but suddenly Abrine seemed to reject the moment on purpose?
Abrine immediately sat in his great chair. A large table was now a barrier to the distance between them. Think of it as her protective shield.
Raymond bowed with both hands resting on a desk, he ducked for the sake of looking seriously at Abrine, as if demanding an explanation for the girl's attitude. "Why?" ogre.
Abrine massaged his temple. He wanted that moment. She wanted to give up her first kiss to the young man she had loved all these years in silence. But, when he closed his eyes earlier, he suddenly recalled the incident that night. Where he caught Raymond and Freya together. The shadow about it crossed her mind.
Abrine became lost for a moment, imagining the lips that would touch him had ever touched another girl's lips. When he wanted to hug the athletic body, but he lost a step, lost far, because it turns out that the body was even owned by someone else.
"We like each other, don't we?" Raymond clucked his tongue as he shook his head inexhaustibly. Abrine rejects her after they know each other's feelings.
"I can't. I can't!" answer Abrine seriously.
"Yes, why? Because you don't like me anymore?"
Abrine shakes. Of course, at this time he is still very very fond of even loving Raymond, even though I don't know when the feeling is. But, doing so was difficult because he had to fight with his own selfishness which on the one hand refused Raymond's intense treatment to him.
Raymond fell silent, he didn't think that was what Abrine still thought.
"So you want me to break up with him? I'll do it if you ask, Brine."
"What?" Abrine stood up from his position, looking surprised. "You haven't decided yet?" the tanyanya ends with a slow whistle.
Raymond was silent. Abrine's like a circus on him right now.
"So it's true Freya said that you were dating? Why did you say it was just ounces that night?" Abrine grunted softly. "I thought I would trust you only in your relationship and ignore what Freya said at the time. But it turns out your words just made me realize, Ray!"
"Conscious? Realize what?" Raymond began to raise the tone of voice.
"Aware that you're used to this."
"What do you mean?"
"You're still status-bound to Freya but you might want to kiss me today. Are you used to doing this to other girls? Playing them?" insinuations.
Raymond snorted loudly hearing that. In her heart she cursed herself for doing this, thinking not of Freya but Abrine. Abrine's opinion was like a hard slap of his treatment earlier.
Silence, there was no sound between the two anymore.
"Berin...." Raymond broke the silence first.
"Hmm?"
"I'm sorry. But, not all your thoughts are true."
"Which thought?" asked Abrine indifferently.
"Regarding my habitual attitude towards doing this. It's not like that. Just this once, I didn't mean to play a girl. It's because I can't hold back my feelings in front of you anymore, Brine...."
Abrine exhaled slowly. "Can you not see me again?" to the point.
"Berin!" Raymond exclaims. Once again he was inexhaustible with the words Abrine had uttered.
"Please!" please Abrine. "Don't show up in front of me again!"
"I can't do that. You know that!" emphatically.
"Could be! I won't be able to forget you if you continue to be in front of me!" concluded Abrine frankly.
"Then don't forget me! I'm gonna let Freya go. We started everything from the beginning. Together," said Raymond.
Abrine shakes. Although his love was deep for Raymond, he was still sane. Again, he is sane. Point.
"If you do that, it's the same if you want to give me a label that I'm the guy's girlfriend, Ray."
"No!" Raymond shook his head violently. "From the beginning we should have been together. Freya's just a stumbling block for us."
"Ray, she's your lover! Think on!"
"I told you that I didn't play with him. Just have fun!"
"Then, with me? You're gonna make me your pleasure tool, too?"
Raymond gasped and decided not to answer. He tried to digest and think about Abrine's speech this time, he did not want to give a wrong answer, which he would later regret.
"If in your head you still want to have fun and think Freya is the right person to make it happen, then stay with her. Don't expect me, because I can't give you anything, let alone such pseudo-pleasure." Abrine stared intently at Raymond. "You know, I'm not that girl! I'm a delinquent, but relationship, I want straight. You got it, didn't you? I still uphold the eastern culture I have."
Raymond came home disappointed. He wanted to think again about Abrine's words. She knew Abrine was a girl with high self-esteem that she could not treat like the other girls she easily dated. That's what made him love Abrine. But this is what made him think. Will he make Abrine like Freya? But, for Raymond of course Abrine was always different from any girl he knew all along.
Now Raymond is aware of Abrine's words. The problem was not with Abrine, but with himself. Does he still want to have fun? If it is, then it is not Abrine the girl that is suitable for him. If he is ready to choose Abrine then he must be ready to follow Abrine's straight path.
Abrine himself, resumed his pending work. Not to forget when he was busy he told his family in Indonesia.
Towards evening, Abrine returned to the Apartment and pondered. He had already removed Raymond and asked the young man not to appear in front of him again. But, in the depths of his heart, he wished that Raymond would think about his words and be willing to change. Until someday they can be together by not hurting anyone including Freya.
