As Elrich was from Abrine's ward, Yemima went in and visited him.
"Brine, how are you?"
"It's fine" Abrine replied with a faint smile.
"Ah, sorry, I didn't find your family contact. Your phone was found dead."
"It's okay, after all, someone's guaranteed me, isn't it?"
"Yes, Elrich...."
"You know Doctor El?" ask Abrine later.
"Yes, he's Xander's best friend, of course I know him."
Abrine nodded briefly.
"All this happened because of my party, I'm sorry, Brine...." Yemima clasped Abrine's hand with a sad-looking face.
"No, it's purely because of my carelessness. I should have been more careful with the drinks I was going to consume."
"I'm really not good at you."
"It's okay, Mima. It's okay..."
Yemima glanced over the nightstand. "You haven't eaten your breakfast yet? How can you take medicine like this, let's eat! I'll help you."
Yemima began to adjust the height of the bed rest, so that Abrine was comfortable in a half-sitting position, then he began to reach for food on the nightstand and open the plastic covering the dish.
"Aaaaa.." said Yemima trying to feed Abrine.
"Do I have to tell your family after this?" yemima asked in the middle of the bribery.
"No, I'm going back to Indonesia in two months. Let's just say this didn't happen." Abrine said casually, but then he remembered what Elrich said a moment ago. What if the man really wants to bring the matter to the police?
"Ehm. but," Abrine hesitantly continued his sentence.
"Why?"
"What if Doctor El addresses this issue? If he sues me how, Mima?"
Yemima frowned in wonder. Sue? How could Elrich sue while this accident happened also because of it. Elrich was driving Abrine's car? Why did Elrich sue Abrine?
"You mean?"
"That's it, I've bumped into Doctor El until his hand was in the cast. So-so"
"Wait, wait.. You hit Elrich? Did El tell you this?"
"No, but his hands are so definitely because of me, aren't they?"
Yemima was about to reply but the presence of someone made their conversation stop.
"Berin...." Raymond appeared before the two. Making Yemima look at Abrine grudgingly while Abrine returned Yemima's gaze as if asking who told Raymond that he was here.
"Ehm, last night after the accident I tried to find your family contact but didn't see you because your phone died. So, I was going to ask Ray who knows he knows, but Ray doesn't know either. I explained to him about your condition." Yemima hurriedly explained, making Abrine aware of where Raymond knew his whereabouts, of course from Yemima.
"Excuse me," Yemima said without a sound, only her mouth opening while looking at Abrine with a look of condolence. Abrine knew Yemima had no intention of complaining about this to Raymond, Yemima must have been upset when he had an accident and without thinking about it instead contacted Raymond to find information about his family.
Abrine wanted to keep Yemima and Raymond in the room, but Raymond spoke to Yemima.
"Mima, can I just help Abrine have breakfast? And again, I want to talk to him alone. Can it?"
Yemima took a long breath. "OK," he said, then completely left the room after putting the dishes back into the nightstand.
"This, for you...." Raymond held out a very beautiful bouquet of flowers before Abrine.
"Thanks.." -..." Abrine actually no longer wanted to receive any form of attention Raymond to him, but somehow his actions were contrary to the desire of his heart that was strongly opposed.
Raymond began to want to replace Yemima, as he said earlier, he wanted to feed Abrine breakfast.
"I'm full" Abrine refused.
"Then drink your medicine."
Abrine accepts and does not refuse when Raymond gives him medicine and water.
"How you doing, Brine?"
"Everything's fine."
"Why did this happen?"
"Oh, I'm drunk."
"You drunk?" Raymond stared at Abrine with his eyes bulging. "Are you doing that because of me?"
"Because yesterday, you said that you were jealous to see me with Freya."
Abrine fell silent, he threw a glance in the other direction. Yes, yesterday he had said that, but had not had time to discuss further with Raymond apparently Freya was present in their midst.
"Ray, forget about it."
"Why? You're jealous, right? I-I want to talk about it."
"For what? Everything's not that important."
"It's important to me" Raymond concluded.
"What's important."
"You're jealous it's a sign you have feelings for me, Brine." Raymond tries to reach for Abrine's fingers but Abrine avoids them.
"You happy about that?" abrine asked, as if to admit that Raymond's words were true and he did not dispute that.
"Yes, I'm glad to know this...."
"Why?" lirih Abrine's.
"Because I-I also have that taste, Brine. I like you."
Abrine shook his head in disbelief. This should be the moment he was waiting for. He should have been happy to hear Raymond say that the young man liked him too, but somehow now it just feels like there is pain. If Raymond likes him, then Freya and their relationship, what does that mean?
"I was dating Freya with the intention of making you jealous, it worked." Raymond tried to explain when he saw Abrine just silent without expression.
"You lied, Ray!" Abrine emphasized his words.
Raymond looked stunned, he looked at Abrine with a pushy look. "I'm seriously. Trust me!"
Abrine shook his head repeatedly. She did love Raymond and that feeling had been bottled up for quite a while, but she was still smart to think. Love cannot blind him. At least, his love for Raymond has not brought him to such a blinding phase. He can still think clearly.
"I can't trust you this time." Right, only this time did Abrine doubt Raymond's words during the time they knew each other.
"Why?" Raymond whimpering. His eyes seemed full of disappointment at Abrine's speech.
"If you're actually dating Freya to make me jealous, you should have said something about her in front of me and then seen how I reacted. But reality? You dated her without my knowledge. You'd never be honest if I hadn't caught you two the other day."
Ctas! Abrine's speech was like a loud jolt to Raymond. Right, he should have shown his affection with Freya in front of Abrine if he really intended to make Abrine jealous. Actually, no. He hid Freya from Abrine.
"And after all that, you're saying that you like me?" Abrine smiled grinfully.
"Brine, I mean it. All this time I have held our friendship high. Therefore, I dare not admit it to you. But hearing you're jealous, I felt like my feelings all along didn't seem to be clapping one hand."
"Go home, Ray. I need time to rest." Abrine replied indifferently. He is lazy to discuss this for now
Raymond nodded, he moved but drew closer to Abrine's face. He slowly rubbed the girl's smooth cheeks and then looked at her fixedly.
"Whatever I do with Freya, it never involves feelings. Different from you, Brine. I've always thought you were special, "admit Raymond seemed earnest. Abrine returned the young man's eyes and seemed to dissolve in them. But, he hurriedly turned his face away.
"Get well soon, I'll visit you later."
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the,
Elrich stood on the doorstep of the ward where Abrine was still being treated. He accidentally saw Raymond there and of course he heard all the conversations of the two.
Upon realizing that Raymond was about to leave the room, El hurriedly walked in the other direction. From there El knew that it was the man who made Abrine hurt and disappointed.
El almost forgot that he had his own intentions of visiting the Abrine ward. But, considering Raymond's arrival, El breaks off to return to Abrine's room. She felt sure now Abrine needed some time to rest, especially resting his heart and mind.
El decided to return to the ward where he was treated, currently he was a patient. Slowly he reached out to himself while carrying a wheeled drip pole, with one other hand still in bandages in the braces.
"You're going to sleep?" Suddenly, Xander was standing at the door of the El ward that opened.
"Yes, I'm tired."
"I don't think you can get tired, El."
Elrich just smiled faintly and began to move into the bed.
"I was given permission to rest for 4 days." El said while positioning himself.
"Yes, Doctor Finn told me."
"But don't forbid me to get out of this room" said El calmly.
"Yes, come out to see Abrine, right? Are you worried about him?" Xander smiled seductively at El.
El kept quiet without saying. For him, Xander's speech is not important and does not need to be responded to. Xander would have been able to deduce for himself if his arrival to Abrine's ward would not have been for worrying about the girl, but rather because he deserved to know Abrine's situation because they were in an accident together. And again, his name also had the status of guardian for Abrine.
Somehow El doesn't mind it, though Xander or Yemima may be more entitled to be a guarantor than he who doesn't know Abrine at all. I don't know, but maybe because the accident happened with him and he felt responsible too even though it wasn't entirely his fault.
