25. A Video Call

Elrich stared in surprise at the screen of his phone as he made a video call on Abrine. Because, Abrine seemed not alone but with a man who was familiar enough for him.

"El, I'm on the way. Wildan asked me to hangout today" Abrine explained from across the call.

Elrich rubbed his own face. He did not know if Wildan put his heart on his future wife, because Abrine had never told Elrich about the two. But, for some reason when he found out that Wildan was taking Abrine for a walk, his heart could not take it for granted.

"Els? Why are you making video calls? Not usually," said Abrine who saw El was silent when the man who first called him.

"Ehm, no, I'm in dad's villa.I-I miss you," said El lying and somewhat doubtful.

El's longing speech was certainly not to heat up Wildan because he did not know Wildan had a taste for Abrine, but so that Wildan did not suspect their relationship.

Wildan did hear the chatter of the two in silence and his heart started to heat up, but he remained focused on driving.

Elrich also did not know why his feeling wanted to make a video call like this on Abrine, but his father was also not beside him now.

"You're not working, El?" Abrine also tried to pay attention to Elrich, of course he did it in front of Wildan with the intention of avoiding the words El who said he missed him. Abrine knew it was just El's acting because of Wildan.

On the screen of the mobile phone, Abrine can see a smiling El hear his words. Abrine couldn't if acting like this continued, even since El had kissed her forehead at the airport back then, she kept thinking. In fact, Abrine had tried not to bring up to his feelings, because Abrine was aware that this was just their acting. But, still, he began to misbehave himself. While looking at El, the man looked ordinary.

"Aren't you going to say hello, Wildan?" ask Abrine.

"Ehmm. point the phone at him."

Abrine complies with Elrich's wishes and shows Wildan driving.

"Are you healthy, Er?" elrich asked, trying to be ordinary.

Wildan glanced at a glance without shifting his focus.

"I'm healthy, brother!" answer thus. Wildan then glanced at Abrine. "I'm driving, you guys just talk" he said.

Abrine nodded, back on the phone screen.

"Where are you going?"

"Come on, Wildan's gonna take me where."

"Don't go home too late" Elrich said. "I know you can take care of yourself, but I hope you listen to what I say this time," he added.

"Yes, I hear you, El."

"Yes, I hung up."

"okay."

"Ehm.... I love you, Honey." said Elrich to launch his acting.

Abrine looked at El with his eyes puffed up, but El gestured him to answer his words just now.

"Yes, yeah... I lo-love you," Abrine replied stammered with a mixed heart. It's nothing, for him such a sentence is a sacred sentence that they should not easily say and play with, but because of El he so said it to the man too.

Abrine put his phone in a bag.

"I envy you guys" Wildan chirped suddenly.

The video call from Elrich made Wildan feel angry, his good mood immediately disappeared let alone he also heard when Abrine and El threw love words to each other. Wildan felt that he had lost too far and there was no way to join Abrine.

Wildan invites Abrine to play a mock ice-skating game in a Mall in their city. It made them both look happy and familiar. Wildan was back in his good mood. After that they also ate and chatted casually.

"Where do you work, Wil?"

"I'm pioneering again, anyway" Wildan replied staring at Abrine straight up.

"Usaha?"

"Well, great dong you."

"Obsolutely normal. Not great if not accompanied by a great woman as well," he said smiling thinly.

"Hehehe... will come at the right time, really!"

Abrine. "My twin sister got married, anyway. If I'm still single, I must match to you so I can get something similar to me" Abrine said.

Wildan finally chuckled.

"I want you, Brine. Even if you have identical and unmarried twins, I still want you. Even if I have to wait until your status is no longer a girl, it's okay, it's a consequence for me." That was how Wildan's mind spoke in his heart without being able to voice it in front of Abrine. His feelings were too great and sincere to Abrine.

"When, can we try one of the popular menus in your restaurant?" abrine's question made Wildan look back at the girl's face.

"Sama El too, huh?"

Wildan was silent, but he realized that he had lost and this girl was soon to be married to Elrich, so he nodded slowly.

Finally, they returned home before 5 p.m. Abrine appreciates Elrich's message asking him not to come home too late. Regardless of the request was a form of real attention or just acting, but Abrine tried to do it, anyway for his own good. While Wildan responded to Abrine's request even though the girl asked to go home sooner.

"Berin!" Wildan called Abrine who wanted to enter the gate of his house after Wildan drove him home.

"Yes?"

"Are you happy with all your choices?"

"meaning?"

Wildan was silent, his face was sad.

"Will?"

"So, it's okay. Yes, that's a lupain." Wildan thinned his lips, re-entered his white Terios and waved at Abrine through the window of the car he accidentally opened.

Abrine fell silent as he stared at the car that Wildan was driving away from his position.

"Sorry Wil, did I let you down?" ask Abrine in himself. He tried his best in front of Wildan, but the young man's gaze was always easy. Wildan still has a great taste for him, that's what Abrine can conclude.

Abrine entered the house feeling somehow. Did he just cancel his wedding plans with Elrich? Not because of the appearance of Wildan who made his heart turn to undo the intention, but he was afraid of being trapped in his own game which would actually make him more hurt than heartbreak towards Raymond.

The next day, Abrine did his usual activities. Same with Elrich. They are equally soluble in their respective activities. Rarely communicate but occasionally think about each other.

Due to infrequent communication, Elrich was too confused to contact Abrine first. Confused what to do later. So does Abrine, he's too shy to call El first. And so on until the wedding day they really only count Sunday. Only then did Abrine dare to get rid of the shame in order to contact Elrich.

Elrich was surprised to see the caller's name on his phone. He did not expect Abrine to contact him first, but it is undeniable that his feelings are very happy to get a call from the girl. I don't know why.

"Was this marriage done?"

"Of course!" sahut El fast.

"Alright, I want to make sure because the hotel that has been booked for the event, has started recommending the food menu to both my parents."

"Yes, I know. I've got a leave schedule. Maybe in a few days I'll fly there."

"really?" I don't know why Abrine sounded so enthusiastic.

"Why? It seems you're very happy to hear me coming. You miss me, huh?" Elrich smiled obliquely after finishing with that sentence.
