69. Want to atone for sins?

Abrine was still thinking about the reality he knew from Kristy this afternoon. So, Galvin and Claire were once in a relationship. That means when El was still dating Pevita, Claire and Galvin were still together at that time.

"Darling?"

The voice of El who just arrived at the house shocked Abrine. He turned his head and found El who was smiling knots to him. His heart warmed but his head was thinking too much today.

"You okay?" asked El who strangely saw his wife seem silent.

"Hmm. This afternoon I met Kristy."

"Then?"

"She told me about Galvin and Claire's relationship. Apparently they've had quite a long relationship."

El was silent about Abrine's speech.

"Why didn't you tell me about this, El?"

"Sorry, this is too complicated for you to think about. So I-i-"

"What else? What else do I not know, El? Doesn't my ignorance put me in danger. You want me to be in that situation all the time?" Abrine looked at El angrily.

El took a long breath. He just doesn't want all his problems to be a burden on his wife's mind. Including Claire's feelings for him all along.

He wanted Abrine's mind to be calm, unlike his tangled thread-like thoughts since knowing that Claire had expected him a long time ago, had even done a lot of bad things just because of that crazy obsession.

"I should have known from the beginning, El. So I can look out for a woman named Claire."

"Your intuition works better than mine, baby. You're the one who told me to be careful with her, right?"

"Yes, then you should open up to me, El!"

Elrich fell silent. He knows where his mistake lies. Not that he doesn't believe in Abrine, but he just doesn't want Abrine to think and get involved. Though after he realized, Abrine must have been involved since he officially became his wife. The proof, Claire has made Abrine one of the targets to be hurt.

"I'm sorry, I feel like I've brought you big trouble."

"El?" Abrine was hard to say. He was annoyed but El seemed to deeply regret this matter.

"I'm sorry, because my past has put you in a difficult situation."

Abrine is silent, he passes to their room, leaving El pensively thoughtful about his wife's response.

"Kristy what's the story?" El asked while opening one by one the buttons of the shirt he was wearing.

Abrine was already curled up on the bed without caring about El anymore.

"Darling? Why not answer me? I'm asking you."

"Eitherway. What else do you think Kristy told me?" Abrine instead asked back while grumbling in annoyance.

"Did he also say that Galvin was the man who impregnated Pevita?"

Hearing that, Abrine immediately rose from his position. She straightened up and looked at the husband with a probing look. "You're kidding me, right?" tanyakanya.

"Oh, so Kristy didn't tell me that."

Abrine shook his head in confusion. "Aren't you going to tell me that too?"

"Yes, I see...." El was actually lazy to discuss this but since his wife wanted to know everything, it was good that he did tell Abrine anything. Yeah, anything.

"Claire's using Galvin. Because Galvin loved her so much that he followed Claire's will to impregnate Pevita."

"Wait .. wait, this is too awkward. Isn't Claire Pevita's sister? What'd he do it for?"

Elrich approached Abrine and sat down beside him. "One thing you should remember, Claire's not sane. Ah, telling me yes just pisses me off...."

"Tell me, come!" urge Abrine while shaking her husband's shoulder.

"Yes-yes. So Claire wanted Pevita to get pregnant with someone else, so I could leave Pevita who betrayed me."

".... Pevita loved Galvin as a teenager. I'm just a stopover for him" El added with a casual expression.

"Aren't you hurt by that?" abrine asked day-carefully, he wanted to read the look on El's face but El just sniffed his shoulders indifferently.

"El, I'm serious. Aren't you heartbroken that Pevita betrayed you back then?"

"Yes, I was hurting, Brine. But from the beginning I knew Pevita was pregnant with someone else. What I'm disappointed in is that she never loved me. Never mind, I'm lazy to talk about it."

Abrine fell silent, a thousand questions flashed across him. One of them is how does El feel now who has found out if the man who impregnated Pevita is Galvin?

"El?"

"Why would Claire want you and Pevita to split up? Even he gave up his lover and sister just like that?"

"You think?" El went to the bathroom.

By the time Abrine found the answer, her husband was already in the bathroom.

"El!!!" abrine shouted while knocking on the bathroom door so that her husband could listen to her.

"Did Claire do that because of you?"

There's no sahutan and El's in there. Just heard the gurgling of water from the flaming shower. Even Abrine to stick the ear to hear the answer from her husband's mouth.

"Els? Answer me! I know you hear me, El!"

"Hmmm..."

"Did Claire want you and obsess over you?" squealing Abrine accompanied by a sense of annoyance that becomes.

"Not to talk about it!" sahut El lightly.

But, El's answer made Abrine arrive at a conclusion. She should have guessed that Claire liked El since that night Claire kissed El without seeming to regret it.

Abrine thought Claire's obnoxious attitude was all because of a grudge against El regarding Pevita's death, apparently not that. Apparently the woman had other intentions.

"You're hiding this from me, El? Just watch out for you!" abrine's inner self was furious at her own husband.

Abrine has been quiet since. Elrich knows his wife is still angry because she's hiding Claire's feelings for him.

"I also just found out he liked me a long time ago. I didn't mean to keep it a secret from you."

Abrine doesn't tease El, instead 'menye-menye' mimics her husband's style of speech. El chuckled softly. She likes it when Abrine acts like this.

"Oh yeah, how? Have you testedpack?"

Abrine just remembered that he hasn't opened his grocery bag yet. After the pharmacy, he was too absorbed in talking to Kristy. He already said, didn't he? If they meet often forget time and forget the world. Abrine did not remember checking his urine with the testpack he had bought.

"Not yet."

"Yes, already. Try it tomorrow morning. That would be more accurate."

Abrine nodded. He still does not talk much, now his mind just back to remembering about pregnancy. What if El makes amends to Pevita through her pregnancy later? He doesn't want to be confused with that woman. She doesn't want to be considered a Pevita if she's pregnant.

"Darling, what are you thinking about? Are you still angry about that?"

"Not that, not about that."

"So?"

"El, how did you feel after knowing Pevita loved Galvin and betrayed you?"

Elrich shook his head faintly. Facing women must have extra patience, Abrine just said not to think about it anymore, but now this woman actually asked things related to the same discussion.

"I'm grateful to know that now. Now I have you so I feel mediocre."

"Not hurt?"

"If you feel after knowing Claire is obsessed with you, how?"

Elrich heard his wife's words. Though he really regretted if because of himself Claire could do things beyond reason that affect the loss for others.

"But, El. this time it's serious. I want you to answer seriously."

"Do you still love Pevita? Did you ever intend to atone for your guilt for her after she died?"
