Because today El Disi was late, he took the time to take Abrine to the woman's office. After all, he had never visited the wife's workplace.
Arriving there, apparently their arrival was greeted by several workers who had all known that Abrine had released his bachelor. They made a welcoming event for the newlyweds.
El and Abrine were saluted and given many congratulations, making the two comment on a happy smile that this time was not acting and was not made-up as when at their wedding the other day.
Anne, she was the mastermind to prepare for this event. However, after the welcoming event was completed, all workers still had to return to work as usual.
The event was structured in a short and neat manner. Finally, Abrine is given a bouquet of flowers and asked to throw them.
As in a cliche wedding event, anyone who can catch a bouquet of brides, supposedly he is the one who will follow to get married later.
No one expected, apparently Anne who got a bouquet of Abrine throw that is not so far away.
"Well, congratulations Anne, you'll catch up with me," said Abrine, graciously embraced by El by his side.
Anne was just stupefied. She just doesn't have a boyfriend, with whom else will she follow in Abrine's footsteps? Finally he only smiled faintly, he had no intention of catching the bouquet before, but due to his self-protective reflex, the bouquet finally landed right in his hands.
"Hopefully, Miss..." Finally Anne answered Abrine with a faint smile.
The impromptu event held in the parking lot of Abrine's company building was - of course - visible to many, including people in the outdoor area.
From a distance not too far away, Raymond watched the scene. He smiled thinly with reddened eyes. He tried to be happy on top of Abrine's happiness even though it stifled his soul.
Raymond, however, had to be airy-chested. With Abrine still wanting to be friends with him alone he should have been grateful. He can't demand more. This was Abrine's decision and he appreciated it.
Raymond prays for Abrine's happiness, but if Abrine gets hurt, she's determined to take him away from her husband. There will always be a place for that woman.
On the other hand, Abrine entered his room still with El walking by his side. The show is over and it's time for El to let Abrine go to work.
"Don't be too tired, just remember that I need you now" El said as he ruffled his wife's hair.
Abrine hugged El for a moment. A comfortable feeling made him reluctant to move, but he had to let go of the link as soon as possible because El also had to leave for the Hospital.
"Hmm, you too. Don't be so tired. There I am always waiting for you to come home."
El nodded, a sweet smile not fading from his lips. He kissed Abrine's lips at a glance then he actually left the office area of his wife.
Arriving in the car, El recalls that he had left his phone at home. Inevitably, he finally returned to their Apartment and answered his phone located on the nightstand.
El almost moved, until finally his eyes accidentally caught a small bottle that was still open on the dressing table. El's disciplined habit, getting him close to the bottle, he thought it was the vitamins Abrine was consuming, he wanted to close the open bottle.
El took it calmly, the packaging does look like a bottle of vitamin in general, but when you want to close, inevitably El can see the contents of the tablet inside.
His forehead frowned deeply, while pouring the contents of the tablet into the palm of the hand. In an instant, his eyes squinted in shock, in one look he already knew that it was not a vitamin but a con-tra-sep-si pill.
"Abrine?" mumbled listlessly. Since when did his wife consume this? Indeed their marriage had only entered a week, but why did Abrine have to take a pregnancy-preventing drug?
"Aren't you going to have my son?" just monologue.
El closed it with a sense of despair. She realized, Abrine had not loved her. He must admit he was sad to know his wife did not want to carry her child. Although Abrine did not say that, but this medicine had become the answer for him.
"Maybe she's not sure how I feel about her yet." Again El can only monologue lethargic to himself.
Does El deserve to be disappointed now? Abrine also knew that El was expecting his wife to get pregnant soon, but why did Abrine act as if to break his expectations?
El went from there with a sense of disappointment. He wanted to ask Abrine this carefully later. Why Abrine did this, there must be a reason.
The sound of the tablephone makes El have to answer the call.
"Doctor El, have you received your scheduled surgery today?" ask Dr. Finn. He is the chief doctor at the Hospital where El works.
"I just got it."
"Well, you must have known that today there was a heart transplant, right?"
"Yes, Doctor."
"Please have a short meeting with a heart specialist as soon as possible."
"I've been talking about this with Doctor Jane" El explained.
"No! Doctor Jane had emergency surgery earlier, a brain-dead patient in an accident, she was helped by Doctor Jack and the others. They are still in the operating room. So, do a short meeting with our heart specialist who just. I told him, meet him in the meeting room."
"All right, I'll see him."
Elrich took his great coat, walked out of his room and knocked on the special room for the doctor who was going to meet.
Gets the confirmation, El enters the room. He froze when he realized who the figure of a heart specialist who is now in front of him.
"Elrich? How are you?" the woman sounded friendly.
Elrich tried to be ordinary, even though his heart was chaotic to see this woman.
"Of course I'm fine, Claire." El tried to be professional. "You work here now?" tanyanya.
The woman named Claire laughed. "That's how, I'm here now."
Claire looked at El from head to toe like she was judging the man.
"You look good, yeah, you don't seem to regret anything, El." Claire testified and began to give her assessment.
"Can we just discuss work? At least for now." El replied in a firm voice not to be denied.
"Hmm, okay. But, at other times, I want to talk about your sin. How's it?" claire asked in an intimidating tone.
Now it was Elrich's turn to laugh. "You're talking like you've never sinned, Claire!" said emphasize.
"Well, let's discuss the work first. There is still plenty of time to remind you of the things of your past that have traumatized many, including me!"
"Shut up! Shut the fuck up! You don't know anything about me!"
"But I know about Pevita, she's my sister, El!"
They stared at each other intently, but Claire couldn't look at El any longer because the man's face was too painful if she looked at him constantly. And again, El reminds her of a dark time that is hard to forget.
"Well, we-we're just talking about work!" break up Claire then while throwing away her gaze.
"That's better."
