56. An unpleasant feeling

El did not finish thinking with Claire's words in his room earlier. He felt life was playing tricks on him. How could Claire do all that just out of expecting it. No, this is not all true. Claire was crazy, he thought.

El does not want to drag on in his past problems. Although he already knows who impregnated Pevita and why Pevita betrayed him, but he has closed the story. Although after knowing everything from Claire's mouth, he felt like he had been the naiveest man all along.

Never mind, now is not the time to think about things that have passed.

El saw the dark day of the big glass in front of him, now he was in an empty hall to calm down.

Without feeling, it turns out El has been in the Hospital for hours. Now, he was thinking of his wife instead, perhaps he rarely gave Abrine any attention because of his work like this. He doesn't have long spare time. He wants to notify Abrine but his phone is running out of battery power.

After a while of waiting, Xander finally called Abrine from the cellular connection.

"What's up, Brine?"

"You know where El is?"

"I came home this afternoon. But, maybe El had a sudden operation."

"All right, thanks, Xander." Abrine disconnected his call. Despite hearing Xander's reply, his heart still felt unsettled.

"Where are you, El?" inner Abrine was restless.

Abrine waited until the early hours of the morning. He understands El's duties as a doctor sometimes take time, but now his feelings are very unpleasant.

With the decision that he had weighted, he finally decided to go to the Hospital where El worked.

At the Hospital, Elrich had just completed a sudden operation. Time has shown us the early hours.

At the same time, El wants to tell Abrine and remembering that his phone he had connected to a charger, he goes into his room to pick up the phone.

El contacts Abrine, but his call goes unanswered. He called repeatedly but still had no answer.

Finally El sent Abrine a short message.

^^^[Darling, have you had dinner? I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I had a sudden operation. I'll be home soon.]^^^

El walked out of his room but in the corridor, he passed Claire, the woman looking at him with a gaze that El had difficulty defining.

El tried to ignore it. He passed through a body as late as Claire's.

"I'm sorry for my actions in the operating room this afternoon. I'll clean up the mess I made."

Claire's words that sounded very sorry, managed to make El stop the step.

"Why are you so cruel, Elrich Axel Gustav? Why don't you ever want to see me? You should have realized that I was doing that to get your attention!" claire said, she turned around and glared at El with her very hopeful gaze.

All right, El understands now, a Claire who used to always underestimate him, is now turning into a woman who begs for his attention just because she already confessed her feelings to El this afternoon.

Elrich wanted to answer, explaining to Claire that he could not return the woman's feelings, be it then and again now. However, El feels no need to explain things to people who do not want to open their minds. It was useless and would only end up in vain. Finally, El just shook his head slowly. She passed by without a word to Claire.

Claire growled inwardly, thinking El's silence was a self-importance.

Claire highlighted El's departure that was getting further away.

"You see, Pevita? He can live comfortably now, he became a successful and famous doctor. You should be a doctor now. But because of him, you're doomed." Claire said as if talking to Pevita.

"She didn't return my feelings even after my sister died. I won't let him live a quiet and happy life, let alone with his annoying wife," Claire's inner self was filled with grudges. He still remembers Abrine's words at their wedding. He knew El's wife was hard to bully.

Claire had only arrived in this town shortly after the transfer of her duties. He and his family used to live here, but since Pevita's death, they have decided to move out of town. Until finally, he had to meet El again in the same city.

She realizes that she can't see El living fine after what happened to her sister a few years ago. The grudge, it's still there and it's back on. Moreover, El still could not return the feelings that he had long harbored. El married another woman.

Claire's intention was that El decided Pevita was pregnant and let Pevita be with Galvin. And he'll be with El. It all didn't fit his plan.

He smiled obliquely and moved his feet quickly to catch up to El's steps there.

Abrine entered the Hospital lobby with his slightly wet coat. He ran from the taxi to this area.

"Can I see Doctor Elrich?"

"Doctor El just came out, Miss."

"Where or home?"

"It seems he's going home."

Abrine turned to the parking lot after thanking the receptionist. He then looked for the existence of El's car, not so difficult because the area was quite quiet in late hours like this.

The wind was still blowing hard, the rain was still falling with a drizzle. From a distance, Abrine could see Elrich walking towards his own car. But, Abrine's forehead immediately frowned when he saw another figure behind her husband's body.

Abrine, who wanted to bully her husband, immediately stopped doing that. She walked slowly towards the position where her husband was.

His steps stopped when he heard their conversation. It was Claire who was chasing after her husband's step.

"El, leave your wife for me!" claire said without feeling awkward, the speech managed to make El turn around to look at the woman who turned out to chase him to the parking lot.

"What do you mean?" ask El.

At the same time, Claire saw Abrine who was there. He knew Abrine could not be countered by violence, but he would mentally suppress Abrine by shaking the woman's feelings.

Claire gets close to Elrich and kisses him just like that, she deliberately does that for Abrine to see, which is enough to make Abrine hurt, right?

Abrine's eyes widened to watch the scene.

El himself was so surprised by what Claire did. He pushed hard on Claire's body to release the impromptu kiss. He rubbed his own lips with a huff. It's disgusting, Inner El.

Abrine approaches and pushes Claire to the floor of the parking lot. Though just now El wanted to curse the action of this woman, but it turns out Abrine first took action.

"What are you doing?" angry with Claire for Abrine's actions.

El himself was surprised to see Abrine who was also there. He just realized it.

"I should have asked you. WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HUSBAND, BI*CH?" angry Abrine.

"Honey we should go home, don't think no." El tried to calm his wife. He was already afraid Abrine would misunderstand if his wife had seen the moment of the damn kiss earlier.

Claire got up from her position. He laughed wryly. "You shouldn't ask me, just ask your husband. What is the relationship between us," Claire said as if to bestow the blame entirely on El.

"Shut up, Claire!!!" exclaim El furious.

Claire just smiled thinly.

"Relationship?" Abrine looked at El and Claire alternately as if asking for an explanation.

"No, no. He's crazy, baby. Let's just go home!" hatchling El pulls Abrine's arm slowly.

Abrine complies and boards El's car but Claire keeps rambling.

"Don't trust your husband too much! He's not as good as you think he is! Not all of his words are truth!" Claire continues to provoke Abrine while Abrine is already in her husband's car.
