As soon as she knew that the one in front of her was the grandmother of her husband, Abrine's body stiffened instantly. But, the one that's in Abrine's head right now. Why didn't Theresia meet with Elrich?
"Mistress, i---"
"Call me grandma."
"But--"
"That's how it should be."
"L-yes, Grandma...."
Abrine finally complies. But he was confused as to what this would look like. He was also confused as to what to say to Theresa. Though there are many questions in his mind, one of which is where El's biological mother is now and how is she doing?
"Abrine..."
Theresa held onto the back of Abrine's hand, her smile implying something. Abrine could sense that this old woman was loving, but she was too confused as to how now.
"You might want to know why I met you first instead of El, my own grandson."
Abrine stunned. It turned out that Theresia was quite sensitive to his thoughts.
"I've been wanting to see El all along, but it's been pretty hard."
"Why?"
"Because I'm bound by an appointment with my son, Emily. I promise I won't see Elrich, my granddaughter. But, I can't possibly keep pretending not to see it. I'm getting old. I would love to meet my grandson once. I think I'm gonna break my promise to Emily."
".... So, I'm meeting you today because I just want you to know that Elrich is still my grandson. I assume. He is the most entitled to all my property," he explained later.
Theresa had only one child, Emily Langford - Elrich's biological mother. He feels he is aging and he needs someone who can replace him.
Only Elrich is the only hope for a Theresa, but because he does not want to break the promise to Emily, all this time he tried to restrain himself even though he actually monitored El's growth from a distance.
"Then, where is El's real mother now?"
"Emily." Theresa wiped away her tears. His eyes were glazed over, a look of sadness reflected clearly there.
Abrine himself was so surprised by this, he did not expect Elrich was not destined to meet his birth mother even once.
"That's why I wanted to see you first compared to El. I'm afraid he's not ready to accept this fact. I want you to calm him down before you meet me."
Abrine breathed a heavy breath. "May I know why Miss Emily left Elrich?"
"The first reason is because Emily wanted El to be born with clear legal powers. And the legal marriage was Edgar's marriage to Naina. While with Emily, even though it was done first but the marriage has not been recorded legally."
Abrine nodded in understanding. "Is there another reason?" tanyakanya.
"Did you know Elrich was born with a heart defect?"
"W-what?" Abrine. He doesn't know this. El never told me either. His mind is everywhere now.
"Emily has been sickly since leaving Elrich. He was sorry and felt guilty. But he knew it was best for Elrich at the time. He wants El to live a normal life by having the legal power of Edgar and Naina's marriage. He also leaves so that Edgar can forget about it and accept Naina."
".... but, since finding out that El has a disorder, Emily is determined that one day she will donate a heart to her son."
"Ja-so?"
"So, El had a heart transplant from Emily. But he doesn't know if the donor is his own mother."

"El?" Abrine hugged her husband's body from behind. Breathe that aroma deeply. Since she was pregnant she really liked being close to her husband.
"Hmm? Why?"
"Can we talk for a second?"
Elrich smiled at his position. "Awhile? I have forever with you, baby." El twisted his body and hugged his wife in a possessive manner.
"But this is serious."
"What is serious? You cravings? Want to eat something weird?"
"No, not yet." Abrine is grinning for the sake of melting the atmosphere.
"What do you want to talk about?"
Abrine pulled El to the side of the bed and massaged El's arm slowly.
"You want something?" guess El.
"Yes" answered the wife.
"What?"
"I want to talk, but don't cut me off before I finish."
"just that? All right," said El approvingly.
"Ehm. He planted a sizable stake into my company and I accepted it."
"Then? Problem where? Is he a flirtatious guy and you're sorry you made a partnership with him?"
"Not that. Listen to me first, don't interrupt me, El."
"Ah yes, sorry. Continue your story."
"My client's a. Her name is, um... Theresa Langford." Abrine bit the tip of his lips, his face seemed hesitant waiting for how El reacted to this.
El seems ordinary. Maybe not understand what the meaning behind the name is because the same last name is quite a lot there.
"Theresia Langford of Heaven Company is apparently your grandmother, El."
Elrich lowered his head, then threw a glance in the other direction. I don't know what's on that guy right now. Abrine could not guess and concluded.
Quite a long silence in an absurd state. Finally, El opened his voice as well.
"Where do you know she's my grandmother? Did he tell you?"
Abrine nodded.
"So she knows you're my wife?"
"Yes, he knows."
"Then, in addition to planting shares in your place. Why else would he see you?"
Elrich was too calm in his words, so Abrine could not guess what El was really feeling. Whether disappointed, angry or just plain ordinary.
"Surely he wanted to tell me about his status. She's your grandmother, Mama Emily's mother."
"If he tells you that he wants to see me, then forget about it, because I won't want to see him."
"Why?" lirih Abrine's.
"There's no reason. I just don't want to."
After saying that El passed out from inside the room.
Abrine knew now, El wasn't angry, but there was a sense of disappointment in him. Why is it that after all this time Theresia wants to see him? It must have been Elrich's thought after finding out Theresa was meeting Abrine behind her.
Abrine's chasing Elrich's steps. He caught the husband's arm.
"El, I've heard all the explanations. It's good to hear it from Grandma, too."
"Grandmother? Whose grandma? I don't have it! At least that's what I've known for almost 30 years of my life!"
"El, you have to hear everything."
"Already, Brine. I don't want to fight with you just because of a stranger!"
"El?" Abrine looked at the husband with a disappointed look.
"Since the woman who gave birth to me left me, then from then on she did not consider me to exist. Should I take it now?"
Abrine shakes. "Don't blame your mother, El. This thing we've discussed, there must be a reason. Every decision that has been made, there must be a reason!" firmly Abrine.
"That's it," said El passing away. The man just walked out of the apartment.
Abrine long whining-h. How could he soften Elrich's heart. He understood why El's attitude had become this harsh. He doesn't want to force it, but El has to know the truth anyway.
Especially about heart donation. El should also know that Emily is gone.
"Are you also going to feel guilty, if you know the truth, El?" murmured Abrine to himself.
