Unexpected Dinners

Alex felt guilty staring at Anna's face which looked slightly disappointed.

"Sorry we can't have dinner together. The McCartney family-owned company has invested quite a lot in my company. I feel bad if I refuse the invitation" Alex said, rubbing Anna's cheek gently.

Anna looked at Alex's face. McCartney??? think Anna. He is no stranger to that name..

"Actually Roy was also invited and he said he would bring one of his date women" Alex continued.

"If you want, you can come with me too" he said, rubbing Anna's cheek.

Anna was hesitant about Alex's invitation. Actually he was very lazy to go out and meet strangers. However, after hearing McCartney's name earlier, he became curious because it seemed like Anna had heard the name before.

"Hmm. okay" said Anna.

Alex looks happy smiling because Anna is going with him. Although there was a bit of anxiety in Alex's heart to take this girl out of the house. But secretly Alex will tell his men to follow them from behind.

"In that case, I'll get ready" Anna said of leaving Alex to go to her room.

But Alex's hand pulled Anna's hand back into his arms.

"Give me 5 minutes to hold you for a while" Alex said gently as she clenched Anna's body tightly.

The man inhaled her body and closed his eyes to enjoy the warmth of their embrace. Anna also hugs Alex.

After a few minutes Anna tried to let go of her embrace.

"Come on Alex, it's been over 5 minutes. We can be late" Anna tried to persuade Alex to give up her arms.

Alex looks unmoved and still hugs Anna's body tightly.

"Alex!" anna tried to push the man's body.

"Say you love me, and then I'll let go" Alex teased.

Anna who gave up trying to push Alex's body finally breathed her resignation.

"I love you" Anna said softly.

Alex smiled with satisfaction and slowly let go of his embrace. Then quickly kissed Anna's lips.

"I love you so much too" she smiled with satisfaction.

"Basic cheated!!" anna said, then she left Alex for her room quickly before the man held her back.

Alex just smiled happily at the expression of his lover. Then he stepped into his room to get ready.

After getting ready, Anna came out of her room and saw Alex waiting for her at the door. Alex looked at Anna with a look of amazement. She looked inside at her girl wearing a peach-colored knee-length dress with her hair rolled up revealing her white, level neck.

Alex steps her foot toward Anna,

"Very beautiful." whispered Alex charmed.

Then his hand slowly touched Anna's cheek gently,

"I wouldn't want another man to see you with this look!" he's a little upset.

Anna touches Alex's hand on her cheek,

"Come on Alex, we're too late. After all, it's only for a moment." said Anna softly.

Finally, Alex nodded, too,

"All right, let's go" he said, extending his hand to Anna.

Then they walked together to the yard. Alex opens the car door for Anna and lets her in. Alex was in his steering chair.

Alex secretly codes his men to follow them from behind. After that Alex's car drove to their dinner.

On the other hand Daniel has arrived at the dinner he has promised Alex and Roy. Before he arrived at this place, William told Daniel to have his men stand guard in every corner of his restaurant.

There's little concern in Daniel's heart that Alex won't bring Anna to this place. Their plan will fail. If that happens then he will follow Alex to his house and take Anna with his own hands!!

From a distance Daniel saw Roy had entered the VVIP room with a woman. The man was indeed a famous playboy, Daniel guessed for sure it was one of the women from the many women he had.

"Thank you for taking your time here" Daniel said with a friendly smile as he shook hands with Roy.

Roy smiled in response to Daniel's words,

"I should be the one to thank you, because you invited me to dinner here" Roy said, patting Daniel on the shoulder.

"Oh yeah, meet this girl friend of mine, her name is Katy" said Roy introducing the woman next to him.

Daniel held out his hand to shake hands and greet Katy.

Roy turned his gaze around the room,

"Where's your partner??" ask Roy.

Daniel told Roy to take the couple to dinner tonight. Actually Daniel was just baiting the guy so Alex could bring Anna here.

"Oh that... He was going to the bathroom for a while" Daniel said.

"Then please sit down, waiting for Mr. Alex to arrive" Daniel said.

Then they sat down and talked lightly. Not long after, Alex entered while holding Anna's hand beside him.

Instantly Daniel widened his eyes to look at the girl he loved and waited all this time to be in front of him. His heart pounded strongly feeling the deep yearning for the girl.

Alex approaches their table and sets his sights on Daniel, who stares intensely at Anna. His jaw hardened and looked at Daniel.

"Good night, Mr. Daniel!" alex said coldly.

Daniel immediately turned his eyes to Alex,

"Ekhem.. Good night, Mr. Alex. Glad you could be here tonight" she reached out to Alex.

Alex received a helping hand from Daniel and shook it briefly.

"Oh yeah, who's this girl??" daniel asked, pretending not to know Anna.

"Include my name Daniel McCartney" he continued, hoping the girl would at least remember his name.

But unfortunately, Anna's gaze looked ordinary when Daniel mentioned his name.

In the depths of her heart she hoped Anna would remember her. But unfortunately, Anna looked at Daniel with a foreign look and only smiled briefly to greet him.

William tells Daniel not to let him tell Anna who he really is, so that Alex does not suspect him.

"He's 'My love'" Alex said quickly as he pressed the lover's words to clarify his words to Daniel.

Daniel put on his fake smile while nodding his head. His emotions suddenly shot up because of Alex's words just now.

"Alright, then let's enjoy dinner tonight" Daniel said.

After her secretary returned from the bathroom. Dinner was started, and filled with small talk and about the business they live.

Daniel looked at Alex who was seen cutting some meat and giving it to Anna. They really look like a couple in love. Daniel held the knife in his hand firmly.

Then a waiter came in and served some seafood on the table near Anna.

"Keep that food away from her!! She's allergic to seafood!!" daniel reflex.

Instantly the surprised Anna immediately looked at Daniel who was staring at him intensely and deeply. How did he know he was allergic to seafood?? think Anna.

Alex saw Anna's reaction, who looked at Daniel in surprise.

Are the words of the man true?? thought Alex growled.

She did not know that she had an allergy to seafood.

Alex looked at Daniel with a sharp look,

"Where do you know about it??" ask Alex cynically.

Daniel immediately looks wrong with Alex's question,

"A... I just want to talk! Not necessarily true, right?? " daniel said evasively.

Then his gaze turned back to Anna,

"Miss, is Miss allergic to seafood??" ask Daniel.

Anna seemed to think for a moment, then looked at Alex who seemed to be holding back her emotions. The man looked very jealous because of the trivial matter earlier.

Roy who understood Anna's gaze finally tried to melt the atmosphere by directly taking the seafood quickly.

He didn't want Alex to vent his emotions out of jealousy at an inopportune time like this

"Have not been too busy with allergies. Most women are allergic to seafood. Didn't I?? I am very experienced when dealing with women haha!!" roy is proud of himself.

After that the atmosphere again melted and dinner went smoothly even though there was a little awkwardness between them.

Suddenly Roy's phone vibrated in his pants pocket. He seemed to be taking his phone call seriously. Roy quickly turned off his phone.

"I'm really sorry. The worker at my club called, there seems to be a little problem there. I have to get there to check" Roy said in a hurry.

"Thank you for dinner, I really enjoyed it.. Then excuse me" he said, saying goodbye to Daniel and Alex.

Daniel was staring at Roy's departure, it seems like Uncle William's plan has been started, Roy thought.

At the table only the four of them left behind. Alex clasped Anna's hand to say goodbye as well. But the sound of someone's footsteps just entering stopped his movement.

Instantly Anna turned her gaze towards the door and widened her eyes to look at someone there.

"A... Daddy!!" anna was surprised.
