The sun seems to be setting...

The day showed at 6 p.m.

Anna was sitting in the living room staring at the clock fretfully. Why isn't Alex back?? thought.

The girl had been wearing her dress which was quite simple yet looked very elegant on Anna's body. He also dressed thinly and tied half his hair made a little wavy.

Anna looks so beautiful and graceful..

The reunion party will start at 7pm tonight. Anna was tired of waiting and tried to contact her husband.

But before the girl took her phone, Aunt Van came with the phone in her hand,

"Miss.. Here, Mr. Alex wants to talk to Miss" he said.

Anna sighed and took the phone,

"Hallo.." said Anna slowly.

Alex immediately answered Anna's greeting,

"Hallo dear.." he said lethargic.

Anna immediately scrunched her forehead hearing Alex's voice sounding uninspired. His feelings are starting to feel bad, too,

"Darling... I'm sorry, I think I'm going home late today.. Is it okay if the bodyguard who drove you to the reunion party??? Once my work is done I'll go straight there" he said feeling guilty.

Anna was instantly speechless and disappointed to hear Alex's words. So then.. Would the man rather finish his job at the office than accompany him?? think Anna is sensitive.

Alex was heard breathing from back there,

"Sorry baby.. Something is going on in the office. Harry forgot to rearrange my meeting with the foreign dignitaries today.. Though yesterday I told him that today I only had half a day and there was important business. But, unfortunately the fool forgot and made the meeting was forced to be held this afternoon as well" he said sadly.

"I'm sorry... Sorry, I haven't called you since. Because at first I thought this job would be done quickly and I decided I would go straight home after that.. But it's not.." obviously again.

Anna sighed again and fell silent. There was actually a slight disappointment in his heart. However, Alex still has to carry out his obligations in the office. He mustn't be selfish and make Alex feel even more guilty.

Anna believes her husband must be feeling very guilty right now..

And, Alex finally resigned and was forced to give up. He thought that maybe this meeting would only last for a little while.

Alex sighed and lowered his head,

"I'm sorry baby." whispered in.

Anna who heard the soft voice of her husband immediately tried to comfort Alex so as not to feel too guilty,

"Not to worry.. I'll be at the party with the driver in a minute" he continued.

"I'm not angry." she said again.

Alex seemed a little relieved,

"Thank you babe... I'll catch up with you later. After my work is done, I will definitely go straight there" he said.

Anna smiled and nodded slowly,

"Yes.. Then I'll get ready first. I'll be leaving soon" Anna said.

Alex smiled at the voice of his wife,

"alright.. Careful darling... Wait for me yeah.." she said again.

Anna smiled and cleared her throat to reply to Alex.

After that Anna turned off her phone and was silent for a moment. The girl sighed and began to feel her mood change. At first she was very excited to go to the reunion, but now it felt like the girl was very lazy.

Anna forced herself to stay present. He immediately walked to his room to pick up the bag.

Two of Alex's bodyguards were waiting for Anna at the door. They bowed their bodies to Anna as the girl walked up to them.

Anna looked uninspired and nodded her head slightly at the bodyguards. One of the bodyguards opened the car door for Anna. The girl came in and sat in the back seat.

Maybe it looks like Anna will just spend a little time there, he thought.

The car slowly started to drive and left the yard.

Alex has been in his chair ever since. Every minute the man stared at the watch in his hand and grew even more restless.

The meeting is going on now. It looks like some of the top brass from abroad are discussing now.

One of the higher-ups who was talking looked at Alex with an uneasy look,

Alex glared sharply at the middle-aged man and smiled sinisterly, smiling,

"You're right." he said briefly and no less sharply.

The man who asked just now immediately stared dislikefully at Alex's answer,

"Now what's on your mind?? Wouldn't it be unprofessional if we were having a serious discussion like this and then one of the highly influential people didn't take our conversation seriously this time?? Isn't this a waste of time???" ask her again quite hard.

Alex smiled cynically at the man's question. Then he straightened his seat and folded his hands on the table while staring at the man,

"You know... To be honest I have promised to accompany my wife tonight to an event. But unfortunately.. Because of my secretary's stupidity, I couldn't keep my promise." Alex said.

"And you know how I feel now??" ask Alex sharply.

The middle-aged man fell silent and still stared intently at Alex, who was,

"I feel like a useless and lousy person.. How can I let my pregnant wife go alone to the show??" he continued pretty hard.

Alex tries to calm himself down and sigh deeply.

The middle-aged man who asked just now instantly smiled cynically with a scornful look at Alex, who,

"Then????" tanyanya sharp.

"I didn't expect a Mr. Alexander Wijaya to be that professional.. Just because your wife you even ignored this important meeting??" he patronized.

Alex's emotions suddenly peaked when the middle-aged man quipped his wife,

The higher-ups there looked at Alex with fear. While the middle-aged man who asked just now was still staring at Alex casually and undaunted in the least.
