Surprise Child's

Surprise Child's
Chapter 66 Goose Feathers

The village looked messy, shabby and unfit for habitation. But Alessa saw many children running around with crisp laughter, making her think that the village had been so for a long time.

Choosing the best place without a doubt Alessa opened her new business, just by paying one coin whatever the problem would be Alessa solve.

At first many doubted, but when a woman asked for help because her son was seriously ill all believed because Alessa was able to cure him.

In an instant he had already scooped up profits despite being small, every day visitors came with various problems.

The fame he quickly gained until the King kissed his existence, the order was put down to take tribute from him. At least five troops came under the command of the dashing General wearing armor, they immediately entered disperse the long queue in front.

"Calculate my master, you will definitely get a turn," said Alessa casually when it was clear the General's face was cruel.

"You must be a new person here, I'll be kind to you other than because you're new you're a woman. Pay your tribute now and I will guarantee your safety" said the General.

Alessa giggles, making the General offended.

Brakes

He hit the table, his loud voice made all the visitors run to save themselves. While Alessa just smiled with a relaxed face, she was not at all afraid of the bluff.

"How dare you insult me!" hardik General.

"Sir, the money I got wasn't much. What if I pay tribute my way" Alessa bargained.

"What do you mean?" ask the general because Alessa is not handing over her body.

"Bring me to the palace, I'll pay my tribute to the King with my abilities."

The general was certainly not convinced, he was afraid that Alessa was an enemy spy trying to harm the King. On condition that he be bound Alessa agrees and they leave.

By nightfall they had arrived at the palace, as the King was having dinner so Alessa had to wait until the King had finished eating.

"Bring the witch!" the King's word when he's been told about Alessa.

So the General told the bodyguards to take him, bound Alessa came and immediately saluted.

"I've heard it, what can you do to replace the tribute?" ask the King without saying anything.

"Your Majesty, without prejudice to my respect ask to first release this bond."

Alessa used to talk to the throne, people like that are very praiseworthy and flattered. Then he will play the right word to be easily accepted, with the view of convincing the King also signaled that the bond was released.

The general immediately held his sword, preparing to pull if Alessa did anything to endanger her King.

"Give me a task of any kind and I'll finish it soon" Alessa said.

The king thought, looking for what task he could give to a witch.

"Can you rain? lately the harvest is bad because of the lack of water supply," said Raja.

Alessa smiled and said, "I can't bring down rain, but to make the harvest abundant I have another way."

"Please Your Majesty allow me to look at the fields to begin completing this task" he continued.

"Well, tomorrow morning we'll go to the fields."

Alessa nodded, the King's motorcade walking out of the palace tomorrow to look at their dry fields.

The people who saw immediately prostrated themselves did not dare to look, while Alessa started inspecting the hard ground.

The field is too far from the river so it is impossible to make a mill, the place that is too close to the village is also not suitable to be made a field.

"I suggest Your Majesty make an artificial lake there, for the water we can take from the river near here" said Alessa.

The king nodded and began to ask again if it was effective to make his fields fertile, Alessa straightforwardly explained everything.

While in the village of Tutua he learned about this from Albert, he did not expect now that science would be very useful.

The king immediately ordered the council to draw up a plan of development with Alessa, as this in an instant he gained the King's trust.

Surrendering all his people the artificial lake was built in just one week, the astonishing speed of development made the King wonder how Alessa led his people.

"Good work, you paid a good tribute," the king praised.

Alessa is now sitting in a chair with the King to celebrate their success, enjoying a delicious dinner.

"In the future will you pay tribute in the same way?" ask King.

"That's all I can do" said Alessa.

The king smiled, satisfied with the answer Alessa gave. After dinner the King asked him to come to the King's private room, Alessa had thought maybe the King wanted to have fun alone.

But as soon as he fulfilled the call he found the look of a sad face, making him quite astonished.

"Open," call Alessa salute.

"Usually I spend time with my wife here, we'll chat about everything while she embroiders. This is his unfinished embroidery," said the King as he showed it.

Alessa kept quiet, waiting for the King to continue his story.

"My wife was forcibly taken by them because I couldn't afford the tribute" said the King, ending quickly the story that would soon make his eyes wet.

Now Alessa understands, the King is having a hard time dealing with vampires.

"I can't afford to fight them, but I'm sure my son can do it. I will appoint you as my personal advisor and will accompany my son for revenge" said the King.

"Hamba is ready to carry out his duties" said Alessa firmly while saluting.

......................

Latisha's eyes are definitely attracting attention, especially for Percya and Barney. Without Latisha saying anything they know something is hurting her heart, maybe it is Devy or another child who crossed the line.

Whoever they certainly do not accept, Latisha is their favorite friend even Percy himself considers Latisha as his sister.

Those who could not bear to finally seduce Mam to be allowed out, of course Mam refused after what happened to Latisha.

Even though they were restless Mam really did not allow, upset and sad the next day they were silent when Mam entered the class to start the lesson.

"Well kids today we're going to study the types of birds" Mam said.

He looked at his three students and all three of them stared lazily at him.

"I'll explain directly to you guys so let's go!" bring him while smiling.

"Are we going out, Mom?" ask Percy to clarify.

Mam nodded, making them cheer while Latisha just smiled wryly.

Guided by Mam they went out of the Academy, one male supervisor also came along to guard them on the orders of the Dean. Last night Mam who spoke directly to the Dean about Percy and Barney's request, he understood they only wanted to make Latisha happy as usual because it was Mam asking permission as well as one supervisor to accompany them.

"Look!" barney exclaimed at a tree that was filled with many pingoes.

"Let's Latisha!" take Percy while running towards the tree.

Clearly from Latisha's eyes he was drawn to a flock of pingoes that perched and jumped from one branch to another, but he was still not excited to just walk after the other.

Fuuuiiiiiitt

Barney whistled loudly making the flock fly but to him, some alighted on his shoulders and outstretched hands.

Laughing at Barney being amused by their tiny footrests, the astonished Latisha asked "How did you do it?".

" We can all do it Latisha" said Mam.

"Really?" ask Latisha.

Mom smiled, then she spread her hands. Without whistling like Barney the birds alighted there, making Latisha even more astonished.

He then tried to stretch out one hand and whistle, but the birds flew away.

"They see you as a threat" Mam said.

"Then what's right?" ask Latisha.

"Percy can you show me?" ask Mam.

Percy nodded, he advanced onto Latisha's forehead while carrying a bird alighting on his index finger.

"Pingai Birds are brave animals, they are not afraid of the presence of humans and often even make nests on the roof of the house. But they are still not easy to catch, to make them perch in your hands all you need to do is first understand them. You have to make them understand that you're not a threat" Percy explained.

Latisha looked at the bird in Percy's hand, trying to convey her feelings in earnest.

"Give me your hand" Percy ordered.

Still staring at the bird Latisha stretched out her hand, at first the bird just stared at Latisha while moving its head. Jumping slowly to Percy's fingertips he finally got in Latisha's hand, almost Latisha shouted in excitement and shocked everyone.

"I can". Latisha said in disbelief as she looked at them all.

Finally a smile spread on their faces, happy to see Latisha was back as cheerful as before.

He began to fuss again with many questions to Mam, Mam happily served all his curiosity.

Not only learning about pingai birds, they also keep an eye on forest deer from a distance and other animals.

Until tired Mam took them around, seeing the sun that was right above the head Mam also invited them back to the castle.

Latisha frowned, she was still at home outside because of the many things she could see and feel. But he has to obey Mam otherwise he won't give them permission to come out again.

Despite being excited again but after dinner Latisha was sad again, she was reluctant to go into the room to sleep in solitude.

Finally he sat in the middle hall staring at the sky that he had once knocked down, remembering how it was so easy for him to use magic when he was with Sophia.

Looking at her hand she wished Sophia was here with her, she wanted to share many of the stories she had gone through during her time at the Academy.

"Can't sleep?" ask Mama from behind.

Latisha looked surprised, seeing Mam walking up to her she shook her head.

"Why? does your hand hurt?" ask Mam.

"No, my hands are healing."

"Why is there pain in your eyes?" ask Mam again.

"I miss you" Latisha replied softly.

As Mam was silent, he had heard from the Dean that Latisha's mother had died a few months ago. It was still very new so it was natural that Latisha still felt sad, but given Latisha's carelessness all this time she became confused.

"You've been good all along, why suddenly you miss her so much?" tanyakanya.

"When I don't have Albert's most grieving uncle, I promise you to stay strong for your uncle's sake. I have to be reliable, when uncle starts to cheer up again now I can't be strong."

Mam was once confused when the Dean said Latisha was a special child, he thought that although there were rarely children who could potentially be in the animal class but it did not close the position of the animal class which was ordinary.

now hearing Latisha's curses he also understood, at the age of which now his friends have been preparing for their marriage and will be busy giving birth to future kings.

But Latisha is so innocent, clean like goose feathers that even in the random will return neat.

Wiping away the tears that were unconsciously flowing Mam then hugged Latisha, kissing her forehead affectionately.

"You're not alone, there's Barney, Percy and me. You don't have to feel lonely" said Mam.

The hug Latisha longed for even though it was not from Sophia he still held firmly, he poured out a tormenting longing to the tired of his eyes and fell asleep.
