Chapter 36 Meeting Old Friends

Albert knows very well what kind of creature vampires are, their food to everything that can hurt them even though the truth has not been tested.

When Damien tells her that the only way to instant power is to become a vampire it is not easy for her to accept, she does not answer.

Damien was so understanding that he never asked again.

"May I ask you something?" said Albert.

"Say," Damien said.

"How did you become a vampire? I mean vampires aren't born, are they? they are made," he said choosing the right words so as not to offend.

Damien stopped his steps, it was a memory he had forgotten hundreds of years ago.

"I'm just a young man who loves to get drunk, born into a simple family and taken forcibly to become a slave in a vampire palace. Seeing my potential instead of making me dine for the night makes me part of them" Damien said.

"What.. does it hurt?" albert asked again, looking doubtfully.

"Heh, yeah! when the blood of the first vampire ran through my veins it felt like it was burning and freezing at the same time, but the most excruciating part was thirst."

Albert gulped, he knew what Damien meant and it made his stomach churn to nausea.

As their journey continues, Damien recalls the land he plowed had entered the territory of one of his friends. A safe place for them to rest.

From a distance they could see a fairly large campfire surrounded by many people, it made Albert wonder who Damien's acquaintance was this time.

"Is the grilled meat still there?" damien asked right after they arrived.

"Damien!" meg immediately stood up and hugged him.

"Oh I can never help but be surprised when I hug your cold body" he said with a smile.

"How are you?" damien asked, returning that smile.

"Well," he said.

Damien did not forget to introduce Albert to them, of course he also said that Albert was the surprise child.

Suddenly it makes them shocked because previously they knew Sophia was the son of Damien's surprise, with Damien concisely said a lot of things happened and in fact Albert was the son of surprise.

"Damien what happened? a few weeks ago Sophia came here alone and suddenly she just left without saying goodbye" asked Meg.

Damien's skin was pale white, but that night it was as if the moon was giving all its light to Damien's face.

"Let's talk," asked Meg to go somewhere quieter.

It's hard enough for Damien to be honest, but ultimately without any seduction Meg can get Damien to unlock her secret.

Damien thought he would see a surprised look on the woman's face and hear a thousand words of trickery as everyone did to him, but Meg looked at him in amazement.

"This is the first time I've seen love in a frozen heart, why are you so afraid of Damien? you have us! I'll help you" Meg said seriously.

"Are you serious? The Meg we're talking about is the Rider! Sophia's probably gonna hurt your family and don't you mind that?" ask Damien not to believe it.

"Isn't that not his will? you said he didn't want to hurt anyone and I believe that, because he showed us his compassion."

Damien had heard that werewolves are warm-blooded creatures that are always filled with love, now he understands why there is such a name.

"No, it is we who owe Sophia. He saved one of our seriously injured children" Meg said.

"What's your plan now?" tanyakanya.

"I'm going to find Sophia, I have to make sure she's safe" she replied.

Meg Mangangguk agrees, he lets Damien stay until the night before they continue their journey.

During the day when Damien sleeps for the night he wakes up and continues the journey Albert chooses to mingle with the herd, he goes hunting with the youth and plays with the children.

Alex who was trying to make a boat from the leaves has seized the attention of Albert so he wants to make it, too, in contrast to other children Albert made a boat using a tree trunk made thin new adding leaves as a sail.

When the toy boat he put on the river immediately the boat drove fast with the help of the wind, making the children amazed and cheered.

"How did you do it? can you teach us?" ask Alex with sparkling eyes.

Albert smiled and happily taught them, all day long they had fun until they forgot the time.

When Justine tells her it's time for dinner they groan because they have to go home and still want to play, Albert just smiles to see the innocent faces of the children.

Reminds him of his childhood who was also disappointed to have to end the game when the sun began to set, in the sky that began to turn red he realized that the feeling of peace he almost forgot because of many problems that occurred.

How now he misses the times without having to think about the future, he yearns to be a little boy who only knows to eat and play.

After dinner Damien immediately took Albert away and said goodbye. Unexpectedly from the little children Albert received many small gifts as a sign of separation, it moved him to the point of almost shedding tears.

"Aaaahh, they are so sweet" Albert said after being able to escape the arms of the children.

"Your eyes are very familiar" commented Damien.

"We had fun all day" Albert said.

"See what you got? necklaces of lion fangs, pieces of deer horn, crocodile teeth.Wah, you really are overflowing with their love," Damien said checking one by one the object.

"Really?" albert asked with laughter.

"If a werewolf gives you a hunting animal bone, whether it's horns, teeth and stuff means you're very special. A young man used these objects to propose to his girlfriend" Damien explained.

"Wow, I just found out about this," said Albert enthusiastically.

"Is there anything else?" albert could not help his curiosity.

As he continued walking Damien said a few things he knew about werewolves, something Albert probably would not find in any book.

The corpse should have rotted and spread an unpleasant aroma, but Cheet gave the herb and rubbed it on every inch of skin so that the body remained durable without wrinkling or rotting.

Only that piece of neck dried up, while the stumped part of his head was as good as his body.

Once in a while Cheet spread the scent of candles all over the lying body while trying to hold back the cries and fury, after he finished he would sit for a long time while thinking what had happened to him.

Obviously he captivated Sophia but suddenly her head felt so painful that it was finally unconscious, when he woke up he found Sophia was gone without being able to find where she went.

"I will definitely find him again" he promised the lifeless master.
