Chapter 38 Should Split

The impact on his head gave a painful feeling of pulsation, even his stomach followed heartburn but no vomit came out. The first thing he saw several times was a bright flame, so warm and comfortable that his body lay on a hard rock.

"Albert, are you awake?" sophia asked, seeing Albert's eyelids open.

"Sophia! that you?" asked Albert surprised.

"Thank God you seem to be fine" Sophia said she found passion in the young man.

Then because Albert asked Sophia to tell him what had happened to him, even though he himself was confused why he was separated from Cheet but the most important thing is that he was safe.

"Damien is out looking for food, he will be back soon" Sophia said.

"What... The dragon is tame?" albert asked curiously while continuing to steal glances at Luca.

"He's quite tame and kind, proof he helped you guys who almost died in the waterfall, right?" sahut Sophia's.

"You're right" Albert replied.

The good Rider and his tame steed, Albert thought how many prophecies might say they were the destroyer of the earth.

"Oh you are aware apparently," Damien said as he walked in.

Albert nodded, Damien was about to give the fruits he found to Albert. But suddenly his head felt dizzy to make him fall.

"Damien!" albert and Sophia together.

Quickly they embrace Damien's suddenly limp body, continuing to call out to him because Damien seems to be slowly losing consciousness.

"Damien, are you okay?" ask Sophia worriedly.

"Uh, yes, " said Damien a few seconds later.

He got up and sat down while holding his head, still feeling a dizzy sensation that was quite disturbing.

"What's wrong? why did you suddenly fall?" ask Albert too.

"Alessa, he's trying to contact me through his magic."

"Really?" ask Albert.

"He sent a message for us, remember that vampire prince we met? they allied with the kings to find us and punish us as traitors to the world" Damien said.

Albert was speechless, no wonder they were in the hunt for not giving up Sophia and even protecting her.

"Then what should we do?" tanyakanya.

"Go!" sahut Sophia's.

"We'll never be safe if we stay together, you'll have to go to the forest of darkness like the previous plan."

"Then what about you?" ask Albert.

"Me and Luca can hide here" he said.

"But until when? Luca has to go out to eat and so do you! sooner or later they'll find you!" damien disagrees.

"There's one place nobody knows, me and Luca will be safe there."

"It's a place for dragons and riders, no one can enter but us" Sophia said without elaborating.

Although Sophia was sure she would be safe but Damien really could not part with Sophia anymore, he wanted to continue living by the girl's side until her immortality ran out.

"Albert is your surprise child, he's more entitled to you and you shouldn't be selfish. However, Albert's safety is more in your hands" Sophia said trying to give understanding as Damien breathed fresh air in the mouth of the cave.

Sophia's warm hand stroked the vampire's neck to give her warm tendrils that Damien must not forget, although his heart was frozen and his blood was icy cold but his soul was still alive with a mind filled with affection.

"You care so much about him" Damien commented.

"I have taken many things from her, first her mother's cradle, then the attention of her people, so that I also take your heart from her. There's nothing I can give back to him but you" said Sophia lamenting the unfortunate fate of Prince Meseress.

"All right, I'll go" Damien said in the end.

He had to give in, giving Albert his full rights as a surprise child. Just before the sun came up they parted ways at the mouth of the cave, Luca who would escort them to the forest land because it was impossible for Albert to get off the cliff safely.

"Sophia take this," said Albert giving a piece of deer horn.

"I got it from Alex, he's a werewolf boy. He said if a man gives this to a girl it means a proposal, but I want to give this to you as proof of my sincere affection. Whatever happens we are brothers" he explained.

Sophia's eyes immediately glazed over the words, but there were many mistakes she had made and made Albert miserable. But still Albert considered him a brother, now the debt was even more swollen without Sophia knowing what to pay him.

"If something happens to me, please don't hesitate to end it" Sophia said in tears.

"Nothing will happen to you, we will live in peace and be reunited" Albert solemnly promised.

Sophia nodded, hugging the only person she considered family. Damien Albert climbed on Luca's back and waved his hand before flying down the valley.

The news of the alliance between the vampire princes and the Kings not only reached Alessa's ears, but Cheet also certainly heard it.

He who is indifferent to the future of the world and only concerned with revenge cannot accept if they kill Sophia, he wants his own hand to kill Albert and Sophia.

So the search was resumed, now he is more targeting Albert who is vulnerable to be easily kidnapped. As he had already been sure if Albert managed to get Sophia would come by itself.

His search yielded good results, and he found Albert's trail into the woods of darkness.

"Are we going in?" ask one of Cheet's men.

"Why? you scared?" ask Cheet in a loud tone.

"Ti-no, it's just that it's a very creepy forest" he said.

"Stupid! that's called you're scared!" hardik Cheet's.

"If you don't dare to enter please leave here, I will enter alone."

Taking the torch from the hands of his men without hesitation Cheet began to step into the forest, just one step and his body had been pierced by many thorns and sharp twigs.

The forest of darkness is like a different dimension, so it enters even during the day but the forest is quite dark like twilight especially at night.

Regardless of his horror, Cheet continued to step on the obstructing vines, until suddenly his ears heard a scream that came out of nowhere.
