Chapter 11 The Fugitive

Sophia anxiously examined Damien's waist which was clearly affected by the incision, but the wound healed without leaving a mark.

"How is that possible?" mumbling wonder.

"This is one of the advantages of vampires, if only an outer wound like this a vampire's body is able to heal itself."

"You should be called immortal beings" Sophia said.

"Yeah, but still we can burn to death in the sun and become dust if our hearts are pricked."

Sopia smiled, but not for long because when she saw the Elven corpses her heart became numb.

"Why are they after us?" tanyakanya.

"The kingdom of Meseress and the Elves had long been hostile, their last war taking place fifteen years ago with victory at the hands of Meseress. It seems like now they are taking revenge," he explained.

Sophia knew as a princess her destiny was not easy, but experiencing it firsthand was more difficult to accept.

"Let's go!" bring Damien.

Returning to walk now they try to avoid the city considering Sophia became a fugitive, climbing the forest with a terrain that is not easy Sophia showed the results of her training well.

Now that he can even use a weapon to hunt, a young rabbit was caught for dinner.

"Alessa was really a good educator, I remember the first time I met her she was the first witch capable of following my pace."

"Really?" sophia asked in disbelief because she knew how fast Damien was running.

"Heh, we had a fight over something and then he got mad at me. I tried to escape and ran as fast as I could, but he managed to catch up to me and stabbed me in the hand. It hurts a lot" Damien said, recalling the past.

Seeing the smile on Damien's face somehow made Sophia feel something in her heart that felt stuck.

"It looks like you guys are very familiar," he said slowly while throwing his face away.

"We've been friends for a long time" Damien said without realizing the difference in Sophia's expression.

"I want to sleep" said Sophia, shuffling at a stick.

Making himself comfortable to sleep quickly, while Damien who can not sleep because night is day for him choose to wake up.

Paying attention to the girl who was destined for him, enjoying every thrill of his inner vibration that felt new. As the night wore on and the wind began to bring the fire-devastating chill, Sophia steadily bent her knees to keep her warm.

After a long time Damien again felt sorry for being a vampire, his cold body would not be able to make Sophia warm.

But as a man he would not stand still, making another fire near Sophia so that the girl could sleep comfortably in warmth.

Just a few hours were enough for Sophia to rest, seeing that there were two bonfires nearby she was certainly shocked. But when he saw Damien who was sleeping knew that the vampire who had done it, flattered now he took turns to keep the vampire in order to sleep well during the day.

He cut many branches of trees with shady leaves, piled them around Damien so that he was protected from the sun.

Then throughout the afternoon he just sat next to Damien to see the vampire's face while sleeping, if it continues to be noticed apparently Damien has a cute baby face while sleeping.

It was so adorable that Sophia could not bear to touch him, her hands had already moved to at least stroke his cheeks. But when he remembered their different body temperatures he realized it would make Damien shocked and woke up, so he also paused his intention.

By the afternoon Damien had just woken up, found he was surrounded by tree branches of course Damien was astonished.

Damien nodded with a smile, then invited him to continue on his way. Continuing to walk through the forest until they could see a magnificent castle that was tightly guarded.

"Come on!" bring Damien.

Down the hill Sophia followed right behind, until at the gate a guard asked what their interests were.

"I want to see Sir. Hummut" Damien replied.

The guard nodded and opened the gate, entering Sophia quite surprised to see a very different scene.

In it is quite crowded and neatly arranged like a palace, following Damien's steps they meet a woman to tell their interests.

The woman led the way to enter a room to meet Sir. Hummut, the dean of the academy's owner.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" ask Sir. Hummuts.

"Yes, sir, I want to enroll Sophia as a student here."

Hearing that Sophia reflexly looked at Damien, now she knew that the place was the academy where the princes and princesses studied.

"Of course, we accept everyone. I'll get it ready soon" said Sir.Hummut kindly.

"Study well, I'll pick you up at least another year."

"What's? you're gonna leave me?" sophia asked in shock.

Looking at Sir.Hummut's Sophia Expression knew there was something they had not talked about, then he politely gave them time to talk.

"Sophia I can't stay here!" damien exclaimed after Sir.Hummut came out.

"Why?" ask Sophia.

"There's something I have to do, but I promise I'll definitely be back."

"I don't want to" Sophia said firmly.

"Sophia, you're my surprise child so you have to obey my decision" Damien said in a stern and cold tone.

"Yes! I'm your surprise child because it's not supposed to leave me alone!" exclaim Sophia.

Running out of patience Damien pulled Sophia's head and kissed her with a stir, a strong impulse that Sophia could not bear. But he also did not want to resign just like that, in the cold skin Damien he buried his nails until the vampire growled.

"I don't want you to get hurt, it's too dangerous outside so let me figure out what's really going on. Next year at least you're sixteen and ready to take me away" whispered Damien.

Slowly Sophia opened her eyes, looking at Damien who was still bowing his head with a breath of breath.

"Then where are we going?" tanyakanya.

"I will make you my bride" Damien said, staring at Sophia.

Sophia smiled even though her tears were flowing, it was an unusual proposal but she liked it.

He nodded his head, letting Damien go with a promise he would fulfill a year later.
