Surprise Child's
Chapter 27 Trying to Fight Destiny

At least he can breathe a little relief after knowing Damien is just looking for help so he is safe wherever he goes, but even so he could not linger there worried that his secret would be exposed and his life again threatened.

Sophia had decided to stay at least for one day one night, the next night she would slip away while everyone was sleeping.

Meg takes her to her house, which turns out to be a werewolf's nest, the first sight she sees is young men playing with round skin.

Sophia is welcome into one house larger than the other, Meg immediately entertained with food and drinks that Sophia did not hesitate to accept.

"May I ask you something?" tanyakanya.

"Please," said Meg.

"How do you know Damien? I mean. vampires and werewolves.."

"Riot" said Meg, finishing the sentence.

Sophia nodded, silently waiting for Meg to start her story.

"When I was a kid my parents taught me to be wary of vampires, never believe in anything the nation says. But there's one vampire I have to believe in, he's Damien. My parents said Damien has done a lot for us werewolves" he said.

As the daughter of Agrarta told him, since childhood he had often heard about the kindness of Damien who helped him therefore he had to be sincerely a child of surprise.

Unfortunately, it seems that his destiny is actually an enemy for vampires whose names have been imprinted on the heart, smiling Sophia diverts the conversation on something else.

Tuk Tuk Tuk Tuk

As much as the pebbles he threw on the tree trunk as much as his frustration, since yesterday never stopped.

Yarren who understood just sat beside him without saying anything, asking nothing.

As the wind knocked the dried leaves over the tree and made it float in the air for a few seconds before falling to the ground Yarren noticed it without batting an eye.

As if time were running slow he felt a distance created between himself and Albert, so obvious and invisible yet clear.

It made his heart sad, even when Albert was far from the sight of his eyes he could feel close to the young man until he was able to feel his breath. But now even though he can touch it even he feels so far away, this way he thinks it's better for Albert to just go.

"I haven't told you yet" Albert said suddenly.

Yarren looked over, noticing how vexation filled the look on his face.

"Yesterday we went Magical Lady to do purification, at that time we all knew that Sophia was indeed the Rider" he said.

"Want to?" yarren asked which made Albert shocked.

"Yarren he is a future threat, he is a disaster that will destroy everything. I had to kill him before he could summon his dragon" Albert said.

"Have you forgotten what I said yesterday? brotherhood is not just a blood relation but an inner bond, are you really going to kill your own brother?" ask Yarren.

"He's not my brother! the blood flowing in his body is the monster that killed my family!" albert shouted furiously.

With a surprised face Yarren took a few steps back, his expression showed as if he did not recognize the figure of the man standing before him.

"You believe more in the myths of thousands of years than what you see with your eyes, even after Sophia fought to save you from the Elves you still see Sophia as a threat."

Albert threw his face to hear that, indeed remembering the kindness of Sophia who did not even dare to hurt the fly even though it was very unlikely he would bring disaster.

But given the fact that he's the Albert Rider can't just ignore the rumors.

"There's no other way, I'm going to go see Alessa and ask her advice."

"But Albert! Damien told you to stay" Yarren warned.

"Alessa's residence isn't far away, I'll be back before Damien comes" he said.

......................

"Do you do this every day?" ask Sophia.

"Yes, almost every day" Meg said.

"How do you live with vampires?" ask Meg prank.

"It was quite difficult to adjust the time initially, of course because he slept during the day while I slept at night. But so far we have been able to get through it" said Sophia reminiscing about their ever-short togetherness.

Meg nodded in understanding, she did not ask any more and let Sophia enjoy her leisure time.

The next day he was quite surprised to see their activities were quite busy, the men would go from the morning to find food while the women at home babysitting their little children.

Sophia was quick to blend in though she kept trying to limit herself from getting too close to them, she helped the mothers sew the cloth and earned praise for her neatness.

"Actually I'm quite used to doing it, before meeting Damien I'm a princess who is required to continue learning like most princesses" he said.

"I see, from the way you act you're not a commoner" Meg said.

"Please." shouted someone suddenly.

Shocked and curious they all gathered to see Justine running with her friend while carrying a stretcher, obviously a young man on the stretcher was injured.

"What's going on?" ask Meg.

"There's a bear, I warned him not to go forward alone but he wouldn't hear it."

The short story had already clarified the deep enough scratches on his arm, fresh blood still dripping with pain that was definitely unbearable.

"Where's Tobias? call him to treat his wound immediately before he runs out of blood" Meg exclaimed.

Someone immediately ran over, while Sophia was fixated on staring at the young man while taking into account how long he was able to last.

If Tobias in charge of the rescue does not come or is too late a little wound it will be an infection that eventually leads to death.

Within seconds of Sophia's slow recollection of a year of studying at the Academy, at the height of her exam she got a scalpel that made her have to study again.

"Right, if there was a knife used to injure there must have been another knife to heal," he muttered, still clinging to sanity.

"Let me! quickly get some water and a clean cloth," he immediately approached the injured young man.

There was no time to think they immediately did as Sophia ordered, deftly she cleaned the scar and sewed it so that no blood would come out again.

When people named Tobias until Sophia was done with her work, of course it makes them confused because Sophia is very fast to do it.

"The seams are neat, you must have done this a lot," Tobias said checking his work.

"Yes, every day I do it on fruit and eggs."

Tobias smiled he did not think there was a physician as great as Sophia in this world, did not forget him and everyone said thanks.

"I've given him pain medication, maybe later tonight he'll have a fever but everything's fine. We just need to take care of him" he told me.

Tobias nodded in understanding, he said Sophia could leave the rest of the treatment to him.

Seeing everyone smiling at her made a quite strange sense of comfort, she felt that being the daughter of Sophia of the Meseress Kingdom was not the Rider like what her destiny was.

This led him to think that he might be able to fight his destiny, even though people believed that he was a disaster but he would prove that he could be the Peace-loving Rider.

For that he must first find out everything about the Rider, learn from the ancestors what the Rider really is.

As planned at nightfall he slipped out of the house, walking in the moonlight into the forest that might be filled with danger.
