Chapter 57 Immune of the Sun

Three days had passed after Sophia's departure, her corpse which was buried in the Dragon world deliberately they did so that her spirit turned into a star in the sky there.

After the funeral, Latisha returned to fulfill her late mother's vow as Albert's surprise child, because they did not have a destination, the three of them eventually settled in Alessa's residence for a while.

Every day they do just silence and contemplation, sadness left by loved ones apparently Albert the most tortured for the departure of Sophia.

Every day in the coffin that Alessa gave Albert to sleep would be heard sobbing, both day and night.

No one tried to entertain, they all let Albert let go of his emotions even though it had to be dissolved.

Unexpectedly Latisha was even tougher than the others, he who had only lived alone with Sophia was certainly very sad. But Latisha had often been called to Sophia's death which might be tragic, it had become part of her destiny and Latisha was forbidden to dissolve in grief.

As if he could see Sophia's future telling him to be a strong and reliable child when everyone was buried in grief, he went out that afternoon and tried to help Alessa split the firewood.

Suddenly Latisha screamed, everyone who heard the scream was shocked and rushed out looking for Latisha.

But because it was noon Damien could only see from the door because the sunlight burned his newly outstretched hand, while Alessa who had arrived immediately examined Latisha's body.

"What's wrong?" tanyanya panic.

"Something was in my hand earlier, he crept straight up my back!" latisha screams again.

Alessa then examined Latisha's back but found nothing, as she looked down and saw that there was an insect that she was probably causing Latisha to scream in shock.

"It's okay, it's just an insect. He didn't hurt you" Alessa calmed down.

"Really?" ask Latisha.

Alessa nodded softly with a smile, Damien and Albert breathed a sigh of relief. But when Alessa looked at Albert her face became stiff all of a sudden, feeling uneasy at seeing him like that Albert asked "What's wrong?".

"Albert!" exclaimed Damien who was also aware of the direction of Alessa's view.

"What's wrong? why are you staring at me like that?" albert was confused and panicked.

"You're not burning?" ask Alessa.

Albert examined his body, thinking there was fire in his clothes. But he found nothing, and when he looked at Alessa again he realized why Alessa asked like that.

Staring at the sky the clouds were quietly marching, the sun high above the head with its bright rays. Frowning he then brandished his hand, letting the sun shine on his pale hand.

"I... don't burn?" tanyanya repeated Alessa's speech.

He looked puzzledly at everyone, curious then he undressed. Letting the sunlight hit the skin that had been wrapped in darkness, nothing happened.

He felt no heat or pain, he was immune to sunlight. Satisfied to check himself for hours in the sun Albert entered the house, his face still looks confused.

"How is that possible?" tanyakanya.

"Sophia's blood" Damien replied.

Staring at Albert he remembers Albert trying to save Sophia by making her a vampire, in the process he must drink Sophia's blood only after Sophia who drank Albert's blood.

Unfortunately, this did not save Sophia, but the blood of Sophia whom Albert had sucked was the blood of the Rider.

The blood that vampires used to fight to stand under the sun, Albert had obtained the blood.

"So... Now I can go out during the day?" ask Albert not to believe it.

Damien nodded, after being content to grieve now got the grace of the Rider made him cry.

He went back out, into the forest to enjoy the afternoon he really longed for.

Running to and fro he then saw a rabbit, feeling the danger of the rabbit immediately jumped to escape. But he lost quickly to Albert, he could not dwell when Albert caught his body.

"Ah this is a rabbit" he said.

"Aaa... so funny, can I hold it?" tanya Latisha enthusiastically.

Albert nodded, he gave the rabbit away so Latisha could feel its soft fur. Feeling amused at the hands because of the rabbit fur Latisha chuckles a little, her laughter is crisp and quite contagious.

Making Albert smile and happy, in the end Latisha's insatiable curiosity made them walk continuously into the forest.

Albert introduced a lot of things to Latisha, he let Latisha try and satisfy her curiosity. Until they arrive at the river, Albert invites Latisha to try to catch a fish by hand.

"Aahh difficult! they're so slippery!" his gerrick.

Albert laughed, of course catching fish by hand is the most difficult way for humans like Latisha. But for Albert himself quite easy because he has sharp nails like claws, he managed to catch some fish and invite Latisha to burn it and then they eat.

"This is so delicious!" latisha exclaimed in shock at the taste of her savory fish.

"really? you likey?" ask Albert.

"Mm, in the Dragon world I have also been used to eating fish. But usually my dragon catches fish and it tastes saltier than the fish here, the shape is also different."

Albert nodded, he understood that Latisha really did not know many things because after she herself entered the Dragon world it was a completely different place.

Albert suddenly laughed, leaving Latisha confused.

"Eat the right thing" said Albert, taking the leftovers at the corner of Latisha's lips.

The beat was so fast that as if he was about to jump out, Latisha immediately lowered her head and was busy culling the grilled fish while inwardly cursing her heart.

Returning home when dusk had arrived, their blushing faces made Damien and Alessa look at each other meaningfully.

After dinner Latisha chose to go to sleep when to close her eyes she could not, she secretly thought of Albert and imagined his face.

When he remembered his conversation with Sophia, he once asked what her father was like and Sophia replied he was a charming man.

Once they meet Latisha soon agrees that her father is very handsome and charming, but after today she feels Albert is much more charming.

The proof is that his heart is often insecure in some moments when he was with Albert.

Finding Albert sitting alone staring at the night sky Damien sat beside him holding a bottle of drink.

"It looks like you're having fun" Damien said.

"Of course, but now I feel guilty instead" Albert said with a sad face.

"Why?" ask Damien.

"I sucked Sophia's blood! do I deserve to be happy in the midst of my brother's departure?" albert asked.

Damien understood Albert's indignation, in the patting of Albert's shoulder slowly.

"I don't see the suffering on Sophia's face, why do you think she can leave peacefully while she leaves the princess alien to the new world. His lover whom he had not seen for a long time and his brother whom he protected the most?" ask Damien.

Albert looked at Damien while frowning.

"That's because he believed his departure would bring happiness, he believed his departure would not be in vain. So don't blame yourself for the grace she gave you, just think of it as a reward Sophia gave you so you can keep your surprise child by day."

Given how it used to be difficult for Damien to keep Sophia during the day, Albert should be more reliable than he is now.

"I'm going to get some food first" Damien said as he stood up and left Albert, who slowly regained consciousness.
