Chapter 17 Exam 3

Exams continued, although heavy, but Ariana and Sophia were able to complete every task given to them. Ariana managed to follow after doing two tasks in one day, now entering their sixth day together again in taking the exam.

Educators and supervisors gathered the participants in the hall and gave explanations regarding their sixth exam.

"The task this time is that you have to find a key that has been spread, you can do any magic to get the key and fight against each other. But you can't risk your friend's life even in a fight, so it's mandatory in this test that you have to use the portal to move."

Since no one asked the question the supervisor assumed all understood and opened the first portal to start the search, they had a time of only one hour as it was quickly they ran into the portal after being given a map of the place where the keys were scattered.

Out of the portal Ariana and Sophia found themselves in the forest, not only them but some other participants were also in the same place.

"Let me see," muttered Sophia opening the map that was shared.

The red dot of the map indicates the possibility of the map is located, this is the first forest where the key is spread so it is certain that many participants are eyeing this place.

"I'm going to move, what about you?" ask Sophia.

"I'm coming" said Ariana.

Prepare Sophia to open the portal, cross the dimension to get to another place. The new territory was still a shady forest, yet it was quiet enough as if it was uninhabited.

"Come on!" bring Sophia.

"Where do you think the key is?" ask Ariana.

"So, it could be anywhere."

"Think of where you're going to keep your valuables in the middle of the forest" Ariana said, thinking.

"Ah I know!" suddenly Ariana.

He quickly ran, while Sophia caught up from behind. Trying to listen to the natural sounds of Ariana looking for the nearest source of water such as a river, when they finally arrived she knew the key would be there.

Soon Ariana took off her shoes and splashed herself into the water, diving for a while before surfacing to fill the air.

While Sophia stood on the edge to stand guard, after taking a few minutes Ariana finally appeared with a hand that grasped the key.

"I got it!" yells.

"You did it! ah I didn't expect you to get it so quickly" Sophia said in awe.

"Well, I'm pretty good at guessing" he said as he walked out of the river.

"Now you can go back and receive the stamp."

"No, I'll accompany you in search of our new keys back together."

"But Ariana what if it took me a lot of time to get the key? or what if I don't find him? nay! you can't accompany me!" Sophia.

"Didn't you believe in your abilities? you'll definitely find the key and I'll keep you company, so we better start looking now!" sahut Ariana was adamant.

Sophia just shook her head, grateful to have a friend who cared so much even though she was actually less happy when troublesome others.

There was no point in arguing, they continued the search while thinking where the key might be. Trying to think like Ariana, Sophia checks other hidden places such as caves but the results are nil.

"Maybe not always in a hidden place" said Ariana.

"You're right, maybe somewhere that's easy to find but we're not aware of."

Staring around Sophia saw a bird that flew and perched on the branch, watching the bird jump into the nest made Sophia guess.

"It looks like I know where the key is" he said.

Tying her long hair Sophia began to climb the tree, holding on to each branch firmly until she reached the top.

Carefully he crawled on the branch until it was close enough to the bird's nest, a smile rising on his face when he found the key was actually inside the bird's nest.

"I found it!" yells.

"really? I told you you could find him!" ariana's reply from below.

Sophia nodded and was about to take the key until suddenly.

"Sophia! you all right?" ariana shouted in shock because somehow something like attacking a branch and dropping Sophia.

"Uh... my back.." erang Sophia while trying to get up.

"Hehehehehe..thank you for the key!" suddenly someone screamed.

Instantly they look and find another participant stealing the key that Sophia found.

"Hey! how dare you cheat!" yelled Ariana angry.

"cheating? I'm sorry but the supervisor himself said we can do any magic and fight against each other" he replied casually.

"But this cannot be called fighting!" ariana.

"Just the same. yes I have first yes." said the participant immediately opened the portal to leave.

"Hey wait!" shouted Ariana but the participant had already disappeared.

"That's Ariana, maybe it's not mine."

"Can't be!" ariana's Refutation.

"There's no point getting angry, you better give up your keys as well. We only have thirty minutes" he said.

"Then we should quickly search again," said Ariana who still refused to go alone.

Shaking Sophia's head just snorted as she walked in Ariana's footsteps, they tried to find the key in every bird's nest again but unfortunately besides the chicks and eggs there was nothing else.

The remaining fifteen minutes of Sophia began to worry, fearing they would not be on time and Ariana did not graduate because of it.

He began to persuade again that Ariana wanted to leave but he still insisted on accompanying, until he was almost given up Ariana found where the key was.

"Look at that," he said slowly while pointing.

Sophia looked at where Ariana was pointing and found a deer wearing a key necklace, smiling to find hope Sophia would not waste any more time.

"We can't just chase after him, he will run and probably disappear without being found again. I'll make a trap so please keep an eye on him for me" Sophia said.

Ariana nodded in understanding, while Sophia rushed away to make a trap. Not long after he returned and asked Ariana for help to herd the deer towards the trap, Ariana nodded and began to walk right behind the deer.

Making him run towards the trap, they almost succeeded when the deer had arrived in front of the trap. They just had to wait for the deer to come in to eat the fruits that Sophia had prepared, in the seconds when the deer advanced slowly is the most stressful thing to make it difficult for them to breathe smoothly.

"A little more," muttered Sophia watching the deer.

Sruk Sruk

Either the sound came from nowhere but that clearly made the deer afraid to run in the opposite direction.

"Ah no!" erang Sophia's.

"Quick Sophia! we only have seven minutes left!" ariana rushed after the deer.

There was no choice, they had to go after him to get the key. Although managed to find out where the deer ran but in fact chasing it is quite difficult, deer are famous for their fast running and they are a little overwhelmed by it.

There were five minutes left when Sophia managed to run right behind the deer, she knew it would be difficult to chase after him because of that he tried to lock the deer with a shield.

But making a shield while running plus that he would be brackets is a creature with high speed certainly is difficult, now there are three minutes left and Sophia almost desperate.

His mind almost gave up at the last minute, making his running speed decrease. But Damien's shadow somehow suddenly came to give him a smile of support, again reaching for her spirit Sophia made a portal right before the deer and.

Passing through their dimensions out of the portal right into the hall, when the deer was confused had to run where because there were many people Sophia immediately made a shield to lock him up.

Of course the people in the hall were surprised by the arrival of the deer until a small commotion occurred, no matter Sophia entered the shield and took the necklace.

"Miss Sophia, you should have just brought the keys," the superintendent said.

"I'm sorry, mam," he said with heavy breathing from exhaustion.

Sophia smiles happily when her card gets a stamp as well as Ariana, when time is declared out Sophia is obliged to return the deer to her habitat.
