Surprise Child's

Surprise Child's
Chapter 23 Albert Rescue Mission

Surprisingly enough, there is a girl who is willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of her lover including being ready to die, living in the palace environment Sophia is used to hearing many complaints from the princesses who have to marry men for the sake of her kingdom.

She was a confiding place for her friends as fellow princesses of the kingdom, most of them complaining when it comes to being the old king's concubine who stinks of earth.

For a young girl like them to want a handsome prince who came to propose, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. In fact a princess was required to serve the kingdom and the only way of their devotion was to give birth to a prince, despite her dislike for her father.

Reflecting on herself Sophia was not entirely lucky, if seen again Damien hundreds of years older even than his own grandfather. But at least Damien has a lasting good looks, which makes Sophia feel owned by the prince even though his embrace is uncomfortable because of his cold body temperature.

Seeing Yareen as the chieftain's daughter of course their fate should not be much different, but luckily he was freed to choose his love and it fell on his twin brother.

I don't know why that love overcame his greatness to Damien, but clearly that means at least Albert doesn't just own him.

Quite happy to also know he has had a brother-in-law, on Matheo's unapproved journey at least the topic of their chat will be fun.

"It doesn't matter that you just leave?" again he asked.

How many times Yarren answered he still could not believe the girl easily turned away from the family for the sake of the lover.

"Trust me that I really do not care even though I am an outcast," said Yarren, cutting down all the branches and grass that blocked their path.

"What is so special about Albert? really even though we were brothers but we just met and only spent a few days together, it wasn't enough to know how his character was."

"Mm.. For me, everything about him is very special, at first he was an old-fashioned tomboy. Every compliment he gave me was not at all interesting, but it was the side I missed the most from him."

"You fell in love at first sight."

It was a proper statement, Yarren smiled in lieu of an answer.

"I heard from Albert you're Damien the vampire's surprise kid, do you mind that?" tanya Yarren shifted the topic so that their chatter stopped struggling to him.

"No, since my glasses I have been told and given understanding so that I am sincere enough to accept them. Anyway I like Damien," he said with a blushing face.

"Is he that good?" ask Yarren who is aware that liking is something more.

Sophia simply smiled, replying the way Yarren did.

Ssshhhhh

Sergey Yarren suddenly stopped their steps, of course Sophia was shocked let alone seeing Yarren's serious face made her nervous.

Gesticulating Yarren asked Sophia to follow him, sneaking as they walked curled up while watching around until I burst into laughter.

Realizing the whereabouts of others besides them amazed Sophia at Yarren's sharp hearing, behind the bushes they peeked at a group of soldiers who were resting.

From the emblem embossed on their armor Sophia knew it was a warrior from the neighboring Kingdom, she remembered her king named King Salim.

The kingdom never had any relations with the Meseress Kingdom, never allied or engaged in war.

"We're leaving" whispered Sophia.

Yarren nodded, so they turned around but somehow a soldier stood behind them and watched.

"What are you guys doing?" ask the soldier.

The Yarren and Sophia reflexes retreated and prepared to either accept the attack or simply flee.

"W-we just passed by and checked what sound we heard" Sophia said.

"Who are y'all? what do girls like you guys do in the woods?" ask the soldier, curious.

His loud voice had apparently attracted the attention of his friends so they came to check, found being in the circle of soldiers certainly made them nervous.

"I am the daughter of Sophia of the Meseress Kingdom, we have no business then let us go," Sophia said taking action as a princess.

"You.. Sophia's daughter? really true?" ask a soldier who doesn't believe.

Sophia nodded in confusion as the soldiers looked excited to know who she was.

"Sincerely, sorry for our indecision. It has been a long time since we have sought the princess by order of King Salim, please let the princess come with us to the palace to meet His Majesty."

This time Sophia who was shocked, there was never a relationship with King Salim of course he was curious what made the King make an order to look for him.

"What does your king want from me?" tanyakanya.

"As far as we know the King wants to make sure you survive the Elf attack, for the rest please ask His Majesty directly because it is beyond our limits."

Considering Sophia asked Yarren for advice on what he should do, Yarren could not help much because he did not know about the matter of the Royal Authority.

"Alright, take me to your King" Sophia decided.

"Is this good? I mean we should save Albert before anything bad happens to him" asked Yarren because he wouldn't waste any more time.

"I have a plan, instead of going both, maybe we can ask King Salim for help" Sophia said slowly.

The accompaniment immediately left the forest, seeing how the soldiers treated them Sophia guessed indeed they were ordered to make sure she was safe.

Then perhaps his plan to ask for help could be achieved, arriving at the palace after spending the day trip King Salim greeted him happily.

His face was radiant and continued to give thanks for the salvation that surrounded Sophia's life, the King greeted her very well and gave appropriate clothing for a princess.

Sophia received the King's goodwill, but curiosity made her sleepless and continued to guess what King Salim wanted from her other than salvation.

At night a servant was assigned to pick him up, leading him to the meeting room alone.

When the door was opened he saw another King who was present, he knew them well because he was often involved in political coverage. They were King Abner, King Thomas and King Arthur, Sophia bowed respectfully before sitting down with the Kings.

"Welcome Sophia's daughter, we're so happy to see you're okay" King Thomas said.

"Thank you for worrying about me, can we start this meeting? I don't like being stuck in a big question mark" Sophia said.

The Kings looked at each other and nodded, so King Thomas spoke up to begin.

"Maybe you've heard about the rise of the Elf riders, those who took over your palace have already performed rituals to welcome their sacred leader. For this reason the Elves need you as a sacrifice to raise the Rider, as it has become a general secret we do not let the Elves lead over humanity. That's why we have to make sure you're safe" he explained.

"I understand, but the thing is my twin brother Albert was taken prisoner by the Elves of the Meseress court. I couldn't let it drag on and had to quickly save it" Sophia said bitterly.

The Kings stared at each other, not believing that the Meseress kingdom had a prince to succeed to the throne.

"Ware, if he's taken prisoner there's a chance that Prince Albert will be your successor" King Abner said.

As soon as the room was silent, anxiety began to spread like a virus that airs from every breath.

"Then we must rescue him immediately" said King Thomas.

"Listen our daughter has a plan" he continued.

"I'm coming!" Sophia.

"Maybe this is dangerous" King Arthur said.

"Please join me, I promise I won't mess up" Sophia solemnly asked.

It was not easy to include a princess that they had to keep safe, but as King they ended up turning their brains to take advantage of Sophia's whereabouts on their side.

"I understand" said King Thomas.

He also told the plan that they had arranged quite carefully.

......................

The first time he found it difficult was when facing the test, being smarter in science and weak physique made him have to fight extra for the sake of passing the Academy examination.

As Prince he was required to master swordsmanship when it was quite difficult for him, only after living with the Zimbe tribe did he find a quick way to learn swordsmanship.

Now the second time he felt physical difficulties was to require him to be strong in the face of the torment given by Cheet, who, in one day Cheet will visit five times just to give a hard slap on the cheek or a fist on the stomach.

It is not a big risk but the pain lasts long enough, especially the only source of energy he has is the sahara fuse bread that is always stuck in the throat. To push it into the stomach just need energy which then feels like swallowing a needle ball.

The next day surviving in a cell while thinking of a way to escape he gets an important guest, Ursula comes to look to see how great the prince survives the torment that makes him want to live for revenge.

His dirty clothes and messy hair drowned the prince's word for Albert, let alone the musty smell of the room mixed with his sweat perfecting the nickname tramp for him.

"Leave us," Ursula ordered.

The bodyguards and Cheet said they walked out while Ursula walked up to Albert.

"Thank God my prince will not kill you" Ursula said.

"Currently, may you not regret your decision" Albert joked with enough energy to rebuke.

"Hehe certainly didn't, your man-in-law who should regret not killing me that night. The night I just gave birth to your first child who turns out to be the Rider, if that night when Thodor burned me down with our hut maybe the Rider would never have been born and you would never have suffered like this."

"My father didn't kill you because he respected his enemy's life, he wasn't a coward who sneaked in at night to seize the throne. You should be grateful for the forgiveness he gave you" Albert replied firmly.

Unable to accept the teasing especially from the newly grown boy Ursula caught Albert's neck in full force, pressing him until Albert's face flushed red because it was difficult to breathe.

"Your pride deserves applause, but unfortunately he's more pathetic as a loser!" ursula said with a sharp look full of emotion.

"Sixteen years ago the baby I gave birth to had a different physique from most Elves, her ears were not pointy which I thought was a defect but it turned out to be a pure trait of the Rider. Your father then brought my son to this palace, gave him the name Sophia with the title of daughter of Meseress."

Bruk Uhuk Uhuk Uhuk

Ursula threw Albert like a light feather, allowing him to breathe fresh air to fill his empty lungs.

"His agreement with Damien which inevitably wrestles with his desire to keep you as the next heir to the throne has given rise to a brilliant idea of high risk, with his selfishness he gave life to his true enemy to destroy his own kingdom."

"lik! Sophia is my twin sister, she's not the Rider!" albert denied it after breathing well.

Ursula smiled, what a deliciously naivety.

"Sophia has reached the age of sixteen, when the sign of the Rider will appear on her forehead. Back then he would not be able to dodge his instincts as a Rider, no matter how much you loved each other as brothers he would still finish you off and anyone who dared to stand in his way in bringing success to the Elves."

Turning back to Albert for the last time Ursula said.

"That's why the damn Kings tried to approach me, after finding the Rider they would kill him before the mark appeared. For if the mark had appeared the Rider could never be stopped."
