Chapter 32 Towards the Forest of Darkness

A man walked down the dark corridor, his cold breath letting out a white smoke that quickly disappeared in the air. When he reached a door he opened it with both hands, immediately prostrating his salute to the three princes.

"What are you carrying?" ask the prince who is sitting in the middle.

"Sophia, the surprise child that Damien had left behind turned out to be the real Rider."

"Are you sure?" asked the prince who was sitting on the left side in surprise.

The man lowered his head even more, a sign that there was no lie in every word, making the princes look at each other in confusion.

"You know where he is?" ask the prince who is sitting on the right.

"Damien took the Rider, a girl and a young man away with him. Judging from the path of their sense servants towards the forest of darkness," he said.

"Attractive, very interesting. Damien, it's a pity that our deal has to end" said the prince, who sat in the middle with a grin.

The forest of darkness, no one dared to enter it because many rumors said it was cursed. Whoever comes in can never get out alive, well, then how can that rumor spread horror?.

Almost crazy the man continued to run until he finally managed to get out of the forest, but when he came home strangely he was declared missing for a month when he felt he had only gone a few hours.

Since then he always told me about what he saw and felt when he entered the forest, rumors were created by naming the forest as a forest of darkness.

Albert knows from the book he read the man who once entered the forest though came out safely but not with his soul, he died a miserable death as an insane man who was haunted by nightmares until the end of his life.

Of course Albert wouldn't risk going into that forest, but if Damien had decided he believed there was something there that meant something to them.

While Damien himself during the trip was quieter than usual, his mind was too busy with the conversation between himself and Matheo before leaving.

Not wanting to trouble the Zimbe tribe was just a human excuse he used to cover up his inner worries, to be honest he was fretting over Sophia.

The fact that Sophia is the Rider is so widespread that she believes the vampire princes must have known it, so Sophia's safety is far more vulnerable than ever.

Matheo had given him advice to never let go of Sophia because the resurrection of the Rider can occur at any time without ritual, while what Ursula did in making the ritual only accelerated the resurrection process in the form of coercion so as to make Sophia more obedient to him.

Matheo suggests taking Sophia to a difficult place to touch and the only thing that comes to Damien's mind is a forest of darkness.

He had heard that in the forest lived fairies who were reincarnations of goddess gods, although their bodies were small with thin wings that were fragile but their magic power was very great even able to see the future.

Damien's goal is to ask the fairies to show Sophia's future, if in the end Sophia remained the Rider who destroyed the earth then she was determined with her own hands she would put Sophia to sleep forever.

"You're not sleeping?" tanya Albert looked at Yareen who was still opening her eyes wide.

"I'm not sleepy yet" he said slowly.

"Are you sorry you left your tribe?" albert asked suddenly which made Yareen frown.

"Why are you asking like that?" the reply couldn't believe it.

"I just. You know a lot of things I've been through, I'm just a nerd, I'm just a loser! I can't even take care of myself" he said.

"Stop blaming yourself!" tukas Yareen who is not happy to hear.

They fell silent, correcting each other's words which may have been outrageous.

"Wouldn't it be that the word interracial love is too difficult? but if you look at them I think nothing is impossible" Yareen said with her eyes fixed on Sophia and Damien.

Albert followed the direction of Yarren's gaze, immediately understanding the intent of his words.

"Obviously they are a real impossibility" he said.

"If we put them in their shoes what would you do?" asked Yarren suddenly.

"What do you mean?" albert asked as if he was so foolish as to understand the words.

"If I were the Rider, would you take my life to save the world or stay by my side even though I don't recognize you anymore?".

Of course it is a difficult question, both are not easy to live but reflect on Damien he knows what he has to do.

"I once made the mistake of giving up on fate, I won't do it again. I won't kill your body let alone your name in my heart, nor will I let you forget about me" he said.

Yarren smiled, glad his Albert had returned to being a poet who always threw stale appeals but still meluhkan.

"Therefore do not interfere with the choices that Damien has made, we only need to support him," said Yarren.
