“What? Safira attacked by reporters?”
Ashqar exhaled a rough breath. “I don't think. How did you and your management handle this gossip, Nit? Don't forget, you promised that this would not bother Safira or Zain.”
“I've tried it, Ashqar. But management is quite difficult, they want to take advantage of this to their advantage.”
Hearing Nita's words, Ashqar growled stifled. “By Allah, Nit. I won't let this happen even if it means I have to deal with you or your management.”
“Ashqar, please don't be selfish. Not only you or Sapphira are under pressure, but also me.” There was the sound of screaming near Nita, calling the make up artist. “I will find a way to get this gossip to stop immediately and I will also find out about the journalists who attacked Safira.”
“Ya. Assalamu'alaikum.” Without waiting for an answer, Ashqar immediately ended the call.
Ashqar's back leaned deeper into the head of the sofa, his head looked up and his hands massaged the base of his nose. He begins to be haunted by regrets, not only for leaving Sapphira alone at home, but also for trusting Nita.
Ashqar was slammed Rafa all-out last night because of this, although he felt annoyed to have been blamed by his brother-in-law, but in fact Ashqar could not defend himself further. Because now he realized that his actions were not effective at all.
“Akh! Damnit!” Ashqar ruffled his black mane and then threw his phone at the table. The clash of cell phone protectors and the table made of teak wood sounded loud.
Ashqar took a break, he chose to ignore the laptop in front of him with a paused video. He has to clear his mind first rather than make a quick decision. Only, Ashqar did not expect that this problem turned out to be more complicated than he had imagined.
Then remember he was drawn back last night, on his chat with Edi and Rafa. The new facts that had been hidden from him were able to make Ashqar speech long enough. His brain was suddenly overcapacity and blunt, the brief information that Edi threw out was very difficult to digest.
Even as he regained his consciousness, Ashqar became a little dazed. “Safira ... assassination target?” ask Ashqar stammered. “Mr, please don't joke.”
“Serious father Ashqar.” Edi let out a long sigh while glancing at Rafa who then nodded thinly. “You already know not the cause of Safira's mother died?”
“Killed.”
“At that time the only person besides Safira, as a key witness, there was a man who was also in the CTF. The man who I strongly believe, who not one bit of father thinks there is evil intention turned out to be the culprit.” Edi hardened his jaw when memories years ago returned to his mind. Then as he managed to control himself, Edi looked at Ashqar with an indecipherable look. “And that man is Teguh, your own brother or you know as Hendra.”
“Pak Hendra?” beo Ashqar's. He was clearly unable to hide his surprise. “But ... how?”
Ashqar combed his hair and grabbed it at a glance. “So that's the reason you're so angry when you see Mr Hendra?” ashqar asked as he recalled how Edi had behaved once he introduced Hendra. However, he realized something more important than that. “If Safira's life is in danger, why didn't you tell me this long ago?”
Neither Edi nor Rafa, both of them were silent. Their situation suddenly became more tense.
Ashqar turned his head towards his brother-in-law. “Rafa?”
“Ok. Ok.” Rafa looked at Ashqar with full seriousness. “First, we want you to live normally without fear or disturbing things. Second and most important, is Safira.” trauma
“What does this have to do with Sapphira trauma? The trauma has recovered and that's definitely not the reason.”
Rafa screeched and looked at Ashqar with a scornful look. “Do you think Safira's trauma was gained because she was left behind by her family only with grandmother? Or the trauma of the stabbing while he was trying to help Zain from an attempted kidnapping? Or even when Alvin and Zain were kidnapped?”
“Rafa,” call Edi full of warning as Rafa begins to unknowingly raise his tone. His son was clearly a duplication of himself.
Rafa snorted while throwing a glance in the other direction. “Since childhood, after that event, Safira suffered a severe trauma because she saw how our mother in—” Rafa took a deep breath. “Killed in front of his own eyes.”
