Ashqar is very grateful to have a neighbor like Hendra. The middle-aged man who lived alone was very kind and close to his family. More than that, Ashqar was very grateful because Hendra had helped Sapphira.

Hendra who was already taking a seat beside Ashqar patted the man on the shoulder. “Udah, don't think about it. Now is not the time to regret, Mas.”

Hendra's wise words were like a breeze that cooled his mind. However, that doesn't mean his feelings just get better.

Ashqar breathed a rough breath after a few sips of carbonated water soaked his throat. “But, Sir. If only I had not been preoccupied with chatting and quickly went home, surely something like this would not have happened.”

Hendra looked at Ashqar with a concerned look. There was nothing he could say anymore and allowed Ashqar to calm down. Hendra could understand how Ashqar was feeling at this moment. One side feels guilty, the other side has anger and sadness.

“Ashqar! Where's Fira?”

An unfamiliar voice sounded from the distance. Ashqar raised his face again and turned his head, Edi half ran towards him. He stood up reflexively, as if he had been waiting for his father-in-law's arrival.

“Ashqar, How's Fira? How's he doing? Everything's fine, ‘kan?” leaning Edi, even when the steps have not completely stopped.

Seeing the appearance of Edi made Ashqar suspect if his in-laws parked in the outside area of the hospital, his hair and almost all of the jerseys worn by his in-laws were drenched.

“Safira is still waiting to be checked by a doctor, sir?”

“Still not checked?” asked Edi, without realizing his voice was rising. “Moving aja. From earlier still waiting to be checked.”

“Pak, minute!” Ashqar held off Edi who was about to step into the ER room. “Wait a minute, Sir. Just now the nurse has told me that there is only one patient left.”

Edi rubbed his face with both palms. She wanted to impose her will, but seeing the appearance of her son-in-law made Edi choose to hold back.

“Actually what happened, Ashqar? Safira takes the father's phone and asks to come home. But now ...”

Ashqar sighed deeply then he told the chronology from his point of view. He said everything included admitting to the carelessness he had committed.

“I'm really sorry, Mr.”

“Uwes. Uwes.”¹ Edi patted Ashqar on the shoulder several times. “Bapak is also wrong for taking Harsha for long walks until it gets rained.”

“But because I was too busy chatting and did not come home so Safira had to face those people alone, sir. If anyone is to blame, that person is me.”

Edi squeezed Ashqar's shoulders slowly. “Le, it's true you were wrong and you were wrong. But neither of us knew anything like this would happen. Safira is not one-twice alone at home and usually all is well, but today ...”

Hearing Edi's remarks, made Ashqar aware that the reason for Safira's current existence was not just who made the mistake. However, it was as if someone or more had indeed waited for a situation where the house was quiet and Sapphira was alone.

“By the way, Ashqar. If you were on the trip when Fira was brought here, who could not Fira?”

When the views of Edi and Hendra met, the atmosphere became tense. Edi himself was unaware of the presence of anyone other than Ashqar. So when he saw the person Ashqar introduced to him, Edi darkened his eyes.

“Mas Firm!” Edi snatched Hendra's collar. “What else? What else did you do with Fira? Opo ora satisfied koe gawe my family sengsoro?”²

Ashqar gasped at Edi's sudden change in attitude. He felt confused and uneasy at the people around them who were blatantly looking at Edi and Hendra.

“Ed, relax first. This is hospital.”

“Ora urus!”³stomach Edi. “This must be your job, ‘kan?”

“Pak. Yes, Sir. This is a hospital, not good with the family of another patient,” Lerai Ashqar, although he himself does not know what causes Edi to attack Hendra.

Edi was still reluctant to loosen his checks on the collar of Hendra's shirt, his palms clutching tightly, the wrinkles on Edi's forehead looked deep and his face became red. Ashqar did not understand the situation in their midst now, but one thing that was clearly seen by him, namely anger in the eyes of the in-laws.

Ashqar opened his mouth, trying to convince his father-in-law to let Hendra go when a female voice called his wife's name.

“Wali on behalf of patient Safira Mazarine!”

Ashqar turned his head and immediately raised his hand. “I, Sus!”

“Please enter, Sir.” The nurse allowed. “One person yes, sir,” he added, when he saw Edi also Hendra wanted to follow Ashqar.
