Sense of Sense
Be careful

“Nita just got out of the hotel. He was riding in a car with one man and two small children, like he was a businessman who was still crowded with people talking about,”, said a man of stocky stature to someone on his phone.

“If it were, this would be great news for us. I'm sure there will be no other gossip portal that can get this info.”

The stocky man who came out of hiding laughed. “Bene! Bener! But we also should not be rash, do not first spread this to the public. Mending we gather a lot of information first,” he said, staring satisfiedly at the camera screen. “According to the schedule that we have, Nita must be traveling to the airport.”

***

As soon as Ashqar's car left the hotel, Nita explained that her flight schedule was accelerated by half an hour as the presidential plane would land on the same runway as the plane she was boarding. While the hotel car that is planned to deliver to the airport is still used to bring other hotel visitors. So he felt grateful for the ride that Ashqar gave even though it seemed a little heavy-hearted.

And now, Nita is nagging the staff who usually take care of all her needs. Of course, the woman almost missed the flight and was caught paying a fine for delays or even absenteeism to one of the television stations.

“How are you, anyway? Not very busy schedule, if I miss the plane how? You should have told me from the morning or at least two hours before. Basic, how a hell!” nagel Nita, from between her gritted teeth. Even so, the entire car could still hear it.

That certainly disturbs Ashqar. “Jaga talks,” said Ashqar lirih, glancing at Nita from the middle spy. “Here are the kids.”

Nita grimacing. “Sorry,” whispers.

Ashqar no longer takes a headache and let Nita finish her affairs, after all she is also not very understanding of the world that Nita is currently struggling with. Luckily Zain did not seem to pay much attention because he was busy mentioning the color of the building they passed or counting the number of motorcycles that preceded their car.

However, another thing with Alvin who since the beginning has been sitting quietly throw his face to the window. Ashqar hesitates if his eldest son does not hear Nita's words, but he is somewhat relieved when he remembers Alvin's indifferent temperament and foolish past. Then shortly afterwards Nita had turned off her phone right when Ashqar turned and entered the SPBU area.

“Sorry for that. I'm kind of a let-off.” Nita keeps her smartphone in a bag while trying to see Ashqar's expression from the middle rearview.

“Other times please be aware around,” said Ashqar, doing the same until their views meet. Then he put the car in the refueling queue.

Ashqar is not out of thought with the temperament of his ex-wife who turned out to be like that. Though as she remembered Nita never berated people or actually she alone who never knew?

“Iya, sorry.” Nita keeps a CD-branded bag next to her body. “Not that I was on purpose, but I was upset because my schedule could be messed up if I missed the plane.”

“I understand, but be careful in front of the kids. I don't want them to follow the rough talk of the kayak earlier,” he said then out of the car as soon as it arrived to refuel.

Usually Ashqar doesn't need to go outside every refueling, but it feels like he needs fresh air at the moment. He and Safira are already committed to keeping their attitude and sayings in front of Alvin and Zain, trying to set a good example.

This was even conveyed to Nita when they first planned a meeting every month, but easily his ex-wife was talking rudely in front of Alvin and Zain.

“Papah will not be angry for long, really, Aunt.”

Nita turned and found Alvin staring at her. It was a bit difficult to guess the heart contents of Alvin's round eyes that did not seem to have much expression, but he could feel that his words were as sincere and innocent as most children.

Nita smiled thinly. “Alvin don't want to call aunty, mommy?”

“Let's be equal like Zain,” replied Nita, somewhat doubtful.

Alvin turned his gaze back on the car window, looking at the new crab seller out of the public toilet. Nita has to swallow another disappointment.

“Alvin thoughtin first,” whispered Alvin, along with Ashqar who got into the car.

“What do you think?” ask Ashqar, get back behind the wheel and put on a seatbelt.

“Nothing, Pah,” replied Alvin then closed his eyes.

However, it seemed to disturb Ashqar's mind. Even when he drove the car back to the street the curiosity bothered him. Ashqar several times steals a glance towards Alvin and Nita who are sitting in the back seat, but he cannot find anything to reduce his curiosity.

So rather than being distracted by something that might not be important, Ashqar tried to distract himself by playing music. The intro that opened with a guitar quote felt familiar to Ashqar's ears and he was just about to enjoy the first verse when suddenly Nita called out to him in a loud enough voice.

“You still save this song?” nita asked, sounding enthusiastic.

Ashqar flinched, reflexively glancing at Zain who turned out to have been asleep for some time. “Zain sleep, don't scream.”

Nita smiled awkwardly then leaned slightly forward, looking at Ashqar from the side. “I'm surprised that you still miss this song.”

Confusion ambushed Ashqar. “This song? Why?”

Nita's smile expands and she sits right again. “Basic, forgetful.” Nita threw her face away, staring at the streets of her hometown. It's still the same, but things have changed. Like a changing day, it remains Monday even if it is either yesterday or next week. “This is a song of our memories, the time of the early courtship. Inglet?”

Ashqar could not cover up his shock. Unknowingly he clutched tightly at the wheel as the memories one by one approached the memories, his feelings instantly jumbled and rendered him speechless.
