Sense of Sense
New Neighbor

“It looks like yesterday's mother pesen food mostly, huh?” said Harti, put vegetables and other ingredients into the bowl.

“Yesterday did not come as much as expected, Bu.” Safira laughed awkwardly in response to her mother-in-law's words. He already knew that the portion that Rahma and Harti ordered was more than he had anticipated, but he was unable to fight the two.

“Mom thinks it's less mending all over. ‘Kan, embarrassed if it gets less.” Harti filled the bowls with his freshly heated soup sauce. “This soup is given to neighbors around, yes? If not, mubadzir.”

“Iya, Mom. Then let me just anter, Mom take a break. From before dawn Mom was in the kitchen.” Sapphira arranged dishes containing side dishes onto the table.

Since coming to her house, Harti has not stayed silent and helped with homework. However, Sapphira was too unkind to let her mother-in-law do some rough work. Moreover, Harti woke up earlier than him and made Sapphira feel completely wrong every time he saw Harti was in the kitchen to cook.

“Mom's not tired, really. Mostly this is all I can do here, you end the same Ashqar forbid mother to do this and that. So mending mom in the kitchen,” said Harti, approaching the dining table with two glasses of milk in hand.

“That's because I don't want Mom to be exhausted and get sick.”

“Iya, yes, mother's daughter-in-law who perngertian,” said Harti then pinched Safira's cheek. “Mothers want to see Alvin and Zain first. Mumpung is still morning, please the soup is delivered soon so that it can make breakfast side dishes.”

After Harti disappeared behind Alvin's bedroom door, Sapphira headed for the kitchen and arranged four of the six bowls onto a tray. Then he handed out the soup to a nearby neighbor.

In fact, Safira rarely ever distribute food to more than three neighbors, other than because he rarely interacts with complex mothers, Sapphira also feel hesitant. Neighboring experience in a rented house before became something that prevented Safira to spread excess hospitality, fearing that the wearing did not happen to him or even impact his small family.

“Then people here are not difficult to kayak there, anyway. But still aj, prevent better from treating,” said Safira, out of the house of his neighbor.

He stared at one last bowl that failed to be given to Ms. Susi, the neighbor to the right of her house. Maybe it's because of the weekend that their house is empty in the morning like this. So Safira decides to bring back the last soup home until suddenly the tip of her eye catches the figure of a middle-aged man in the house who she knows has long been empty.

Somewhat hesitant for Safira to approach the man, they happen to accidentally meet with a glance so it feels impolite to say hello. “A-ah .. morning, Sir.”

The man looked up and smiled thinly. “Morning, Mbak Safira.”

“Father knows me?”

The man's smile grew wider and laughed subtly. “I came in at semalem, Mbak.”

Safira. His face flushed with embarrassment, how could he not know that? Don't-don't ….

“New father moved here?” tanya Safira hesitated.

“Iya, just five days.”

Five days! Oh, my God, where has he been these five days?

“Still, Mbak Safira.” The man's smile grew wider. “It just so happens that I haven't had breakfast.”

Then their conversation continued for five minutes. Safira who is basically not good at small talk and start a conversation just ask so much, the rest is exactly like he who is being interviewed about family and complex environments.

Meanwhile in Edi's mansion, Rafa wakes up earlier than usual. With a cup of coffee in his right hand and a cell phone in his left hand, he looked serious hearing the information being conveyed.

“Continue investigating.” Rafa turned off the connection and glanced at Edi who was sitting not far from his place. “No results yet.”

“Udah knows,” said Edi sipped black coffee and put the glass back on the table. “You better not wake up early in the morning if there is no result at all.”

Rafa was screeching hard. “Kayak Bapak managed to get information Pakde firmly aja.” Rafa checks his phone again, a picture of a middle-aged man in a prisoner's shirt is clearly displayed on the flat screen. “Why can you miss something as important as this?

“If you knew, we wouldn't be dizzy like this. Basis,” Edi leaned his waiting deeper into the head of the sofa. “Let us however, we should immediately find the location of Mas Teguh and make sure that he does not endanger the safety of Safira.”

“Iya, I'll have some people make Safira from afar. But ... Should we tell Ashqar, sir?”

“Do not,” said Edi, sipping his coffee and then went outside.

After Edi left, Rafa was pensive. His memory returns on a tragic night many years ago. His mother was killed and his sister suffered severe trauma. Then now, the person responsible for the incident had gone out of prison without them knowing whether he still harbored any intention to injure Sapphira.

“I will never let that tragedy repeat itself.”
