As Sapphira stood beside Rafa on the balcony of the hotel room, she stared at the overcast sky of Semarang City and the streets below which were still crowded even as the day was almost at its end, he realized how quickly time passed.
It feels like just yesterday Rafa visited his house for breakfast and chatted about nostalgic things, despite ending up with him being unconscious for some reason, for what reason, to this day, Sapphira is still confused about it. However, nearly four months passed and here he was now, accompanying Rafa for over fifteen minutes without any talk.
“Are we going to be here all night? Looking at the sky and the line of cars down there?” ask Safira at the end.
While glancing, Rafa raised one end of his lips. “I don't mind being together with you.”
Safira. Rafa's answer is usually annoying. “What Brother is trying to tease me?”
“Succeed?”
“Not at all,” he said, shaking his head and shaking his shoulders together.
Then the two returned to silence. A breeze hit Safira's face, but the sensation was more than that, crawling the body through the crevices of the fabric fibers from her clothes. And there was nothing Safira could do but rub the palms against each other.
The view of the gray sky and the traffic jam is certainly not a reason that makes him reluctant to move, he said, Safira thinks that he needs a bit of time to himself although that means he has to be stuck with Rafa who is back in silence.
Both sons have fallen asleep, tired during the trip, historical tours and still follow the series of midodareni night events at the residence of Ranee, making Alvin and Zain run out of power and fall asleep immediately after Ashqar takes pains to keep both of them awake to wash their faces and brush their teeth. Meanwhile Sapphira, already exhausted just by making Harsha calm on her first long trip.
An hour and a half is actually very far from the estimate of Ashqar and Safira, they traveled almost twice by car because the baby girl couple Baswara was much more fussy than usual. They often stop just to make Harhsa calm or fall asleep even though not half an hour will wake up again. Harsha did not even allow Sapphira to sit for a moment, as the baby girl would cry as soon as Safira sat down.
“You're cold?” rafa asked, aware of Safira's occasional small movements. However, what made Rafa really realize was Safira's loud-sounding breath several times.
Let her brother guess what she feels, but doesn't want to be revealed. So Sapphira chose silence and let Rafa draw her own conclusions.
Then not for a minute, Rasa had attached a jacket on Safira's shoulders. “Basic, female. Like to code when you can say directly.”
“But! It's as if this brother.” Safira pouted at her brother. “The woman does not intend to code as long as her man is sensitive.”
Rafa cannot deny Sapphira's words because he realizes that women are always the right and even if they are wrong then that position will not make things change. After all, even if he tried to argue it would only make things worse, experience taught him that.
“That's how it is,” Safira replied, sighing longly and exhaling quickly. When Rafa thrusts a can of cola, she puts aside for a while that maintaining a diet is the most important thing for nursing mothers like her. “It's her first long trip Harsha. He may not feel comfortable with his long journey.”
Rafa grimaced, somewhat feeling guilty because his favorite pounding had to have a hard day. “Make me home to book a plane ticket, how?”
Safira's gaze was immediately fixed on Rafa. He even nearly choked on the cola, fortunately the brown liquid thing managed to drive into the digestive tract well without hurting his nose.
“Later the car can be delivered to the house, so do not worry. Business class if need.”
“Semarang-Solo? Business class wear?” It was clearly a misunderstanding that Rafa read from his facial expression, but Safira certainly would not turn down that tantalizing offer. “So not really a lot of money, huh?”
