Sense of Sense

Sense of Sense
Vigilant

Ashqar and Rafa walked in a hurry, half-running, towards a room. Black cloudiness adorned their faces, but Ashqar looked much better when compared to Rafa. The man seemed ready to draw lightning on anyone who passed him.

“Do they intentionally advance the event without telling us?” ashqar said as they turned at the end of the corridor.

“That's obvious,” replied Rafa from between his closed teeth.

He held back the anger that was ready to erupt, but held him back solely for the sake of his dignity and good name. However, that does not mean Rafa will just stay silent and accept this arbitrary action without the slightest resistance.

Rafa took a deep breath until his chest puffed up and threw it away slowly along with increasingly slow footsteps. Then after his brain was filled with oxygen and able to think clearly, Rafa spontaneously stopped his steps and turned around.

“Listen, Ashqar,” said, full of warnings. “Our situation is not favorable now, but we can not stand by and make them feel victorious. You go straight to the hall, apologize for being late and answer questions well.”

Ashqar blinked, the panic reflected thinly in his sense of sight. “But does it matter if I suddenly come while the event has started?”

“The problem or not is not important, which is clear you have to be there. Because we are asking them to make this event so inevitably you have to go forward or if not, on the other hand they can drop our side.” Rafa glanced back as boisterous sounds rang out from the hall room not far from them. “I hand over this same thing to you.”

After saying that, Rafa just stepped past Ashqar without even a single glance back. Throughout his steps, Rafa does not stop clenching his hands, his intelligent brain quickly devises a plan.

When Rafa turned towards the direction they were coming, Ashqar was still silent on the spot. His head was crammed with many words and sentences, arranged randomly until it slowly became a whole unity. He also tried to make a step, not worthy of him or his family is in more complicated problems after all things that happened.

However, when the man was about to swing his legs, he just raised his legs as high as a calf. The synchronization failed and made Ashqar riveted, giving off intent. Until suddenly the words of Safira and her two children this morning when they made a phone call back ringing in the ear.

“Enjoy yes, Pah. Hopefully smoothly. I'm the same kids pray that all the chips are finished and papah cepet home.”

“Papah cepet home. Zain kangen,” whimper the middle, his lips advanced a few centimeters.

While Alvin who was sitting next to Safira was just silent, paying attention to the screen of the phone filled with the faces of the three of them. And as Safira glanced at him, Alvin knew that his mother wanted him to say something.

“Healthy healthy papah. If you come home later take us all on vacation, do not forget to get it.”

Then the babbling after the babbling flooded Ashqar. Just a few days without each other, but the longing rained down on him so strongly. He longs to gather with his small family, misses Alvin and Zain's little quarrel, the smell of Safira cuisine and the smell of Harsha's body after bathing.

Given that Ashqar's heart regained its firmness, he steadily stepped forward and entered the meeting hall. When he opened the door no one noticed his arrival except Nita who looked at him with a tense face at once relieved, either because of what, also Robi who was sitting flanked by Siska and Heru.

Then Ashqar walked through the side to the front of the hall, where a long table was placed and the men from Nita's management sat behind him. Ashqar can see how the niggling smile of manager Nita when he sees himself approaching, which unfortunately is just a thin smile so he is not sure if the camera will get it.

Without further ado Ashqar took a place beside Robi, the chair that Heru had previously occupied, then he took a mic and began to talk.

“Assalamu’alaikum,” open Ashqar, withdraw all press attention in front of him. “Before I apologized for my delay. It's a pity because there seems to be a miscommunication between my side and Royal Entertainment that makes me arrive late.”

After the sarcastic opening, Ashqar let the conference spokesman take over again. He got a little explanation about the interview that had happened and Ashqar immediately got a brief picture, that the Royal Entertainment wanted to make them appear as victims so that he would not dwell on sharp questions.

“Pak Rafa where, sir?” whispered Robi. “I was told that he had important business.”

“I don't know either,” replied Ashqar briefly. “Father already from earlier?”

“New five minutes, Sir. This is outside our plan.”

Ashqar nodded. Then he became alert when a journalist in the middle raised his hand and then held the mic.

“Before Sister Nita admitted that she was married to you and has one son. Is that true?”

“Ya.”

“Then you guys got divorced and custody is in your hands?” the young man asked again and Ashqar again gave the same short answer. “But from the news that circulated said that Kak Nita was the one who actually got custody of it, but he did neglect. Is that true?”
