Sense of Sense

Sense of Sense
Plasteredness

Ashqar lay in bed and tried to reach a deep, but could not. His mind was filled with many things and the most domineering one was of course about Sapphira and their quarrel just a moment ago.

She did not expect that Sapphira harbored such feelings and expressed them in a way she had never imagined before. Ashqar always tries to think logically and behave in accordance with his logic in dealing with things that concern his ex-wife. Simply so that he does not vent emotions that might be another problem.

However, it turned out that his caution had a different impact than he had expected. Not only from the side of the popularity of Nita and some gossip that accompanies his ex-wife, but also from the prejudices of Sapphira.

Ashqar lifts his phone over the face, opens the WhatsApp app and searches for Nita's contacts. And as soon as he found it, Ashqar typed in a short message.

We need to talk

Phone immediately

Ceklis two. Ashqar only hopes that Nita will read his message soon and he can collect the promise that Nita once gave. Then Ashqar kept his phone feeling gambled, some things not yet fully resolved. Both gossip, the possibility of Safira being pregnant, the identity of two criminals and the existence of Hendra.

Ashqar was very curious about how his in-laws behaved as if Hendra was the one in charge of Sapphira and also as if they had known him before. As Ashqar remembered, his father-in-law and Hendra had never met face to face.

Ashqar growled stifled and rubbed his face. The corner of his eye accidentally found Sapphira's narrow back. He could see the smooth movement of his wife's shoulders, perhaps Sapphira was already asleep. Then the shadow of Sapphira's tearful face came back to her mind, and it tormented her.

Ashqar had just decided to take a walk to clear his mind when Edi appeared in the doorway.

“Safira sleeping?” ask Edi. However, Ashqar did not have time to answer, Rafa first interjected.

“We're out for a while, Sir.” Rafa stood by the door as Edi was nearing Safira's bed. “Ashqar.”

Ashqar remained silent even as Rafa turned around and followed Edi. He pulled his body from the bed, staring at Ranee who was already at Sapphira's side.

“I know. I'll take good care of Safira.”

Ashqar nodded then stepped following his brother-in-law and in-law. “Still,” whispered when passing Ranee.

At least Ashqar can guess what reason made Rafa ask him to go outside the Safira nursery. Most likely was the reason Safira was in the hospital.

Ashqar likened the move beside Edi when his father-in-law stopped in front of the elevator with Rafa. “Where are we going?” tanyakanya.

“Cafeteria.” Rafa who was in front answered without looking at him at all. “I still need an explanation why Safira can be here.”

Ashqar threw a dislike look at Rafa's back. Despite his negligence, he was quite fed up with Rafa who seemed to always interfere with matters concerning Sapphira.

“I can say even though it is not something you should know too.”

Ashqar folded his arms around his chest. “Rafa, maybe you forgot that Safira is no longer your responsibility. There are more entitled to him even the Father though.”

“So this is what you mean responsibility?” Rafa screeched and drew closer towards Ashqar. “I don't know what you're trying or you're hiding, but whatever it is I'm entitled to know.”

“Already. Enough, Rafa. Don't make a fuss,” scolds Edi along with the elevator door that opens.

Then without saying anything, Rafa immediately turned around and stepped first to enter the elevator followed by Ashqar and Edi. The iron room felt even quieter, only the faint sound of pulley cables could be heard. Until finally it stopped on the first floor.

The three then walked in tandem towards the cafeteria and picked up a table in the corner of the room. Fortunately, the cafeteria was deserted, with only two possible family members of the hospital patient and one female nurse ordering drinks.

Rafa leaned his back against the head of the chair while folding his arms around the chest. “Please explanation, Ipar.”

“Not a serious problem. Safira slipped and fainted on the porch. It just so happened that a neighbor brought him here.”

“Neighbor? Where did Safira slip?” todong Rafa, then turned to Edi. “And Father? Isn't Dad in their house?”

Edi took a deep breath. “Rafa, enough. You can't ask such things as if this is our fault.”

“How could it not be your fault, sir?” rafa said, raising her tone a little. He was still sane enough to realize where he was at the moment. “Father knows ‘kan, if Safira can currently be in danger?”

“In danger?” beo Ashqar's. “What does it mean?”

Ashqar looked at Rafa and Edi alternately. He could see the panic on the faces of the two and he suddenly felt a bad feeling.
