Sense of Sense
Threats

It was almost noon when Rafa and Ashqar left Handoko's residence. Their black sedan car runs slowly amid the dense streets of the capital, the scorching sunlight as if melting the contents of the head even though it is not at its peak. Ashqar gazed out of the windshield, motorists crowded the front row of red light stops, and, some of them tried to hide themselves in the shadows of the roadside trees while others resigned to be the target of solar whips because they did not get to the place.

Between the lines, Ashqar finds a boy Zain's age with a big helmet sitting on the back of the bike, hugging the woman in front of him. In his mind Ashqar felt familiar until unconsciously the corners of his lips were drawn up. He misses his little family.

Then suddenly his phone rang and scattered Ashqar's daydream. When he looked at the screen of his phone, Ashqar could not hide the happy gurat. A pleasant coincidence when someone who is being thought of as if he can feel the same longing. However, Ashqar's happiness soon faded when he realized that the call from Sapphira did not really come from the same person.

While exhaling, Ashqar shifted the green-colored icon. “Assalamu’alaikum, Mom. What's up?”

“Bu?”

Ashqar. He kept the phone away from his ears and stared at the screen for a while. It was clear that Safira's phone was in Sari's hands, but why was his wife's voice that he heard?

“Sa-fira?” ask Ashqar hesitatingly.

“Yes, who else?” safira said fiercely. “No one has forgotten his wife for a day. By the way, wa’alaikummussalam.”

Ashqar grimaced and subconsciously glanced at Rafa who was staring at him. Through lip movements, Rafa asks if the phone he received from Safira and Ashqar nods.

“Kok, HP is on you?” ask Ashqar carefully.

From across the line Sapphira was heard exhaling violently then with a deep breath the woman grumbled about how insensitive Ashqar was to her. Safira also said that Ashqar should not hide his phone just out of fear that he would see the development of Nita gossip.

“I know this idea is not entirely Mas' idea, ‘kan? Brother Rafa must be involved.”

“You know best how over protective he is, Darling.” Ashqar deliberately said so. Besides that it was the truth, but of course he did not want to be the only one to blame.

After hearing Ashqar's words, Sapphira no longer complained about it. For a moment Ashqar could breathe a sigh of relief. However, once Safira says Alvin is in trouble, Ashqar's relief wears off instantly.

“Alvin why, Which?” ask Ashqar in a hurry.

“Usually Alvin can always control himself. He is quiet, complacent and does not like anything complicated, but today he hit his tent because of this rumor. I'm afraid he'll be released again if there are other friends wondering about gossip on TV. So I think it's better if Alvin takes a school break first. How, Mas?”

Ashqar shrieked his temple, his breathing deep and heavy. While throwing a look out, he said, “I know your worries, Yang. But I don't think shutting down Alvin's school was a wise decision. From your story, Alvin should already know his mistake so he will be more able to hold back in the future.”

“But, Mas ...”

“Safira,” cut Ashqar in a soft tone that instantly made Safira speechless. “Alvin is a good listener, especially if you talk. So let him go to school as usual, let him face his problems. It's a children's issue, honey. So as parents, we do not need to interfere excessively.”

“I'm worried that this problem is getting worse for kids.”

“You yourself have told Alvin that we are fine, so we must show that too. Don't worry too much, inysa’allah everything immediately improves.”

Once again Ashqar reminded himself that he married a stubborn woman, persuading Safira was almost as difficult as running around the football field five times. It may be achieved, but with hard work.

Ashqar was already a quarter of the way to the success of persuading Sapphira, only a little more until his wife was finally about to fall. However, with brash Rafa actually seized his phone and doused gasoline on charcoal that almost extinguished.

“You if it is difficult to manage even not brackets at home, Fi. Alvin and Zain let the school, their security will be tightened. Continue to you, do not expect to follow Alvin and Zain to school,” said Rafa. He then switched off his phone and handed the phone to Ashqar.
