Ashqar took a moment of concern about Edi and Hendra even though his mind saved some questions. He walked following the nurse into the ER room.
The dense atmosphere of the ER made the nape of Ashqar shudder. The shrinking female voice called out a person's name and a shout, which Ashqar surmised the doctor, asked for a bag of blood to be the reason for the horror he felt. No doubt if the nurse asked him to wait outside the room and Safira's examination was delayed. It gave Ashqar a glimmer of hope that Sapphira's situation was not as severe as he thought.
“Wait here for a minute, Sir.”
Ashqar was a little surprised and almost hit the nun who led his way. After the female nurse disappeared behind the curtain, she circulated her gaze around.
Large green curtains greeted Ashqar as if he was in another dimension. Then when the middle curtain opened and a doctor came out from behind it, Ashqar hurriedly approached.
“Dok, how is my wife doing?” todong Ashqar's.
The male doctor throws a gesture so that Ashqar slightly shifts following his steps.
“The condition of the father's wife is good. There were no serious injuries or severe injuries, only a few parts of the body were bruised. Such as: upper right arm, left temple and down pelvis part.”
Ashqar frowned hearing the physician's explanation. “What's good?” inner Ashqar. “Dok, is that really not a serious wound? Bruises in some places, Doc, my wife.”
“Iya, Sir. I can confirm that it is not a serious injury. It's just that the wife of the Father is difficult to lift the left leg and it's likely there is a bruise or injury in the waist or pelvis.”
“My wife slipped. He fell down and then fainted. Is that not a serious condition?” Ashqar's tone of voice turned cold. He clearly did not like how the doctor before him seemed to not consider the importance of Safira's condition. “I want my wife to undergo CT Scan.”
The male doctor was seen once guarding his expression. He has worked in his field for many years and not this time only the family or guardian of the patient is insistent on the results of his diagnosis.
“I don't recommend it, Sir.”
“Why?”
“From my examination results, it is likely that your wife is pregnant.”
“Keep why if it contains?” ask stupid Ashqar.
The doctor breathed deeply. “Pak, pregnant women are not allowed to do CT Scan. It will be dangerous for the baby in the womb.”
If only Rahma was beside him, he would definitely get scorned or even maki. Ashqar who incidentally had received medical education suddenly stupid, he really definition “has been wrong still insistent”.
“It looks like I misrespected,” said the doctor, developing a thin forced smile. “Which I mean, probably your wife is pregnant.”
Ashqar. Suddenly his brain was frozen and could not reach logic. “Kok, can?”
Not only the doctor, but also the nurse beside the doctor also refrained from laughing.
“I think that part does not need me to explain in detail.” The male doctor handed Safira's medical documents to the nurse. “You can meet your wife, after that please confirm to the nurse so that your wife is transferred to the nursery.”
Ashqar remained silent even as doctors and nurses moved on. It was as if time was going twice as slow. Then after a while, Ashqar slowly regained his focus.
Although still half in a daze, he walked slowly to the bed where Safira lay. As soon as he saw his wife's face, Ashqar remembered what he was there for.
“Honey,” call Ashqar, go directly to the side of Safira's bed.
Safira looked at Ashqar's haggard face with a listless look. “Mas.”
Just one word and suddenly tears fell down her cheeks. Sapphira's feelings flogged and she had trouble explaining, so the only thing Safira could throw was her call to Ashqar along with the falling tears.
