Sense of Sense
Car Car Freight Carrier

A noise from outside the house seized Ashqar's attention. At first the man did not take a headache, so he sat down in a chair and enjoyed a cigarette that he had secretly hidden in one of his shoes so as not to be caught by Safira. However, the longer the sound began to disturb Ashqar, so he curiously walked towards the gate and peeked out of the hole that was there.

From a confined spot where Ashqar saw a closed tub car parked in front of Hendra's house, he also heard the conversation of more than two people at once. Instantly, his spinal column felt cold, sending a warning through the nerves to the brain. After all Hendra was the perpetrator of the murder of his wife's mother. Although Rafa testified that Hendra was not the culprit, but there was no reason for Ashqar not to feel vigilant. So what exactly happened there?

A tall man with a big box in his hand walked to the back of the car. “This is the last box, sir?” he said, to which Ashqar had heard faintly.

The man put the box in the car and closed the door. Ashqar also saw the man receive some money from someone who only had his hand visible, then the man walked towards the front and got into the car.

Before long the roar of the car engine filled the silence of the night. As the car began to run, Ashqar could see the state of Hendra's porch and he realized that the plants in his yard were no longer there.

“Did Pak Hendra sell all his crops?” murmured Ashqar, withdrawing from the gate. “But time malem-malem gini?”

Ashqar pensively for a moment, the cigarette he smoked was already half exhausted. He felt something strange about what he had just seen. And of course it makes his curiosity and suspicion even stronger. Unfortunately, Ashqar could not suddenly come and knock on Hendra's door just like that, especially close to midnight.

Until after a few deep suction on the stem containing tobacco in hand, an idea crossed his mind. Ashqar raised his face and exhaled, along with that, a wisp of white smoke united with the air and then slowly disappeared. Ashqar opened the gate and left the house as if he had never seen anything.

Ashqar was surprised to see Hendra standing outside the fence of the man's house with a large suitcase beside him. Maybe this is called coincidence. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, with a light step Ashqar walked towards Hendra, now he really could not guess what was really going on.

“Mas Ashqar?” call Hendra first. The man looked astonished.

Ashqar looked at Hendra's face. She sure had seen a little nervousness behind her warm smile. “Pak Hendra where are the nights like this?” Ashqar dropped a cigarette butt and stepped on it. “I also saw a car parked in front of my father's house. I thought you sent a plant.”

Hendra chuckled, sounding a little awkward. “That's a car item, mas. I want to move.”

Ashqar could not hide his surprise. The man even took a step back. Ashqar did not expect that what he heard was far from his expectations.

“Moving? Why sudden, sir?”

“Ngak also actually, mas. There was only a sudden change.”

Ashqar scrunched his forehead. “Terus why the father of the transfer of malem-malem like this?”

“I plan to move two more days, but the transfer car service that I rent is asking for going forward for one reason or another. I myself just got notified this afternoon, mas.”

Ashqar became increasingly clueless. The reason Hendra was somehow illogically digested by his brain. “Bapak did not say goodbye to the citizens around?” ask Ashqar, trying to get a more detailed explanation.

“Yes, how else, mas.” Hendra smiled faintly. “By the way, I did not know that Mas Ashqar smokes.”

Ashqar glanced at the cigarette butt next to his right leg. “Rarely, sir,” said. “If you may know, why would you want to move? Though father here not so long.”

Hendra's breathing sounded heavy and Ashqar also noticed the change in his expression. Even so, Hendra still maintained a smile on his tired-looking face.

“I want to go home, mas. Choose living in the village, grow crops.”

He recalled that at their first introduction, Hendra admitted that his hometown was Purwokerto. However, once he found out who Hendra really was then it was definitely not an excuse Ashqar could accept.

Hendra is the son of Eyang Prapti, his hometown is certainly not another area other than the place where they live today. Also given that his extended family-in-law did not acknowledge the man's whereabouts, there should be no place for Hendra to return to within the Sumarno Family. Or is there something else he doesn't know?

When Ashqar was busy drowning in his daydream, along with that a car drove slowly towards him. The light from the car left Ashqar shocked and reflexed a few steps back. One hand was raised in front of the face, dispelling the blinding light of the light.

The black sedan passed Ashqar and stopped five or seven steps from it. Staring at the black car and Hendra alternately, Ashqar was confused.

“Summer pick?”

“Iya, mas.” Hendra looked awkward. Especially when the driver got out of the car and took a suitcase to put in the trunk.

Ashqar was watching the driver who was walking back to the car after whispering to Hendra, as the man patted Ashqar on the shoulder.

“What's up, sir?” sahut Ashqar, surprised.

“I say yes, mas. Greetings to Safira's mother, children and family. May healthy always, get along well, can solve all problems that occur with adults and be careful.”

Ashqar flashes. “Oh. Yes, Mr. Hendra. Hopefully you are also healthy continue.”

“Yes. Yes.” Hendra's voice sounded heavier. Then the man reached out and got a welcome from Ashqar. Shaking hands, Hendra said, “Rukun continues yes, mas. I pray Mas Ashqar and Mbak Fira will last until grandparents. I say, if there's an age I'll see you again sometime."

“Aamiin. Yes, Sir. Hopefully there is sustenance to connect saturahmi.”

Hendra looked satisfied. He then patted the back of Ashqar's hands and shoulders. “Take your wife and children as best as you can, yes,” he said, as it passed.

Ashqar did not even have time to reply to Hendra's words and could only look at the old man's back who got into the car and began to drive slowly leaving the housing complex. Hendra's words were really like a farewell message.

However, there was something else that bothered Ashqar's mind. He felt Hendra's sudden departure was strange, as well as the person who picked him up. It was as if he recognized the person, but who?
