Moments of waiting, finally came the sound of knocking on the door in Evelyn's room and immediately appeared Ziva's head with a smile.
"Hey, I'm coming." said Ziva in his excited tone.
Evelyn simply rolled her eyeballs in response making Ziva confused.
"Why your facial expression?" ask Ziva.
"What's wrong?" Evelyn asked back, making Ziva's brows furrow.
"What's up, what?"
"Come, Ziva. You don't usually come in the afternoon like this."
"Why really? Is there a problem if I come in the afternoon? Don't you like my arrival?" sindir Ziva's.
"Little bit. It's my break." Evelyn got up from her bed. He walked towards the nightstand and poured the drink into the glass. "You want a drink too?"
"No. I'm not thirsty." Ziva shook his head then folded his hands over his chest. "But since when do you take up a hobby of rest? I didn't know you had a break either. Weren't you always busy, busy and busy. Until you forget time?"
"Busy?"
"Yes, busy having fun, I mean."
"Stop saying to me, Ziva" Evelyn said sarcastically as she held a drink in her hand.
"I'm not saying you, I'm mocking you" Ziva said, causing Evelyn to stare at him.
"Alright" said Ziva raising his hands in surrender while walking towards the sofa in Evelyn's room.
Ziva sat himself down casually on the sofa, looked at Evelyn for a moment then chuckled to himself.
"What are you laughing at?" Evelyn stared fiercely at her best friend.
"No! I'm just astonished. Aren't you the son of a conglomerate, Eve? But why can't you even choose the right clothes and fit your own circumstances?" ziva's words made Evelyn raise her next to her eyebrows.
"Suit my situation? What circumstances?" ask Evelyn astonished.
Instead of answering, Ziva shook his shoulder and made Evelyn become upset herself because she was curious.
"What do you mean exactly, Ziva?" pissed Evelyn.
"Look! You're wearing clothes that are too open for your body."
"Why is that?"
"Oh, come on Evelyn. You should have worn a more covered outfit after you finished mingling." Ziva said again.
Evelyn who was drinking immediately choked and turned to Ziva. He looked at his friend with a surprised expression.
How does his best friend know?
"What?" said Ziva in a relaxed tone when he saw the shocked reaction of Evelyn who he judged a little excessive.
Evelyn cleared a moment. "What are you saying, Ziva? What bercin? I just finished shopping instead of shopping"
"Yes, yeah, yeah! Just tell me the nonsense and all your insignificant excuses on that purplish red mark on your chest." cut Ziva while rolling his eyeballs lazily.
Evelyn reflexively lowered her gaze to stare at the marks of her former relationship some time ago. Evelyn quickly crossed her palms in front of her chest, covering whatever her best friend was looking at.
"You! How dare you look at my chest!" evelyn's cynical protest.
"I have absolutely no intention of looking at her, Miss Anderson. But the sign even looks very clear, it does not even take effort at all for me to be able to see it" said Ziva casually.
"Yes, but you shouldn't have to keep looking at her, right!"
"It's just that you cover your chest, there's also around your neck."
Hearing that, Evelyn immediately hurriedly touched her neck.
Ziva snorted cynically when he saw the ridiculous behavior of his best friend. "I wonder who else you're sleeping with. Come on, answer quickly! Whose ex-coup is that, huh?"
"It's not a former kiss*n, okay!" evelyn's protest didn't take. "It's just a mosquito bite mark and it's kind of itchy, so-"
"Wow, you're very good at acting apparently. I even got fooled by your great acting." said Ziva cynically, speaking in a soft tone.
Okay, Evelyn really feels cornered right now. It even went wrong on its own. And just then, at first glance the memory of him and the man named James, the director of the famous magazine, who almost made a vow with him in the hotel room last night just popped into his head.
The fact that kiss*n James does not arouse any passion in his body is because he does not want to discuss this now.
Evelyn hurriedly shook her head, trying hard to erase that memory from her head.
"Can we stop this conversation? And now I'm wondering what exactly are you doing in my house this afternoon? I'm sure you didn't come here just to talk about my 'mark', did you?" sebal.
Ziva shook his shoulders indifferently. "Yes, you're right. I don't really want to talk about that!"
"So what?" evelyn asked as she stepped onto the sofa in the middle of her room and sat herself on the sofa, right next to Ziva.
"Hm, so it's like this. As you know, if I'm gonna have a party. And at that time you promised me that you would come too. So today I came to you to collect your promise and make sure that you will come to the party later." explains Ziva enthusiastically.
"Resign promises? When did I ever make a promise to you?" Evelyn frowned in wonder.
"Damn, Eve!" sumpat Ziva is upset. "Do you want to forget your own promise, huh? You promised me, your own friend."
"Haha, just calm down Ziva. Of course I still remember my promise." Evelyn smiled amusedly at the upset reaction of her best friend. "I just fucked you up."
"Evelyn, was your holiday in Bali that was not fun so you had to pranking me first to laugh?"
"Your face is funny when you're angry, Ziva. It's nice to see it."
"What kind of friend are you, heh." said Ziva. "So you're coming, right?" ziva's eyes immediately returned sparkling with pleasure.
"How about ya-"
"I'll have a party at your father's club anyway. I guarantee you nothing to lose if you come there later."
Evelyn nodded slowly. "Yes, you calm down. I'll come over there. Not even in my dad's nightclub. Wherever you hold the party I'll still come, Ziva."
"I know that. You will keep your promise. You are indeed my best friend." exclaimed Ziva who immediately scattered to hug Evelyn.
Evelyn simply shook her head at the behavior of her best friend. "So did you come here just to ask that?"
"Yes," Ziva took off his embrace and nodded steadily. "I'll bring my dress here so we can go together later. I'll get dressed and get ready here. I'll borrow your dressing room, okay!"
"Yes! It's up to you." Evelyn replied with a ticklish chuckle. "When's the show?"
"I haven't decided yet, maybe two or three more days. Then I go first." said Ziva putting the jacket back on his body.
Evelyn frowned. "Where are you going?"
"I'll go buy a dress for the show later. See you, Eve!" ziva said after picking up his expensive bag on the table.
She waved at Evelyn and walked away from the place, leaving Evelyn in her room.
After Ziva's departure, Evelyn again downed her drink. He just kept silent while staring at the glass in his hand. Evelyn then took a slow breath. If asked to choose, he would prefer not to leave.
He likes parties, he likes it. But these few days, after returning home from Bali, somehow his body felt more tired than usual, very tired. It was like he had no passion for fun for a while now . But no problem, for the sake of his chatty best friend, he would still go to the party.
Honestly, compared to going to a party, Evelyn currently only wants 'entertainment' for her body. But no one can give it to him. Even James, the handsome man Evelyn had just met who Evelyn originally thought could make her satisfied, just could not make her body feel happy at all.
Evelyn tried it last night but failed, she couldn't feel anything with James.
Actually not just James, but all the men Evelyn had met and even had relationships with them, all the same.
Last time, Evelyn also had to go to Bali to find someone who could please her, but still not succeed. They all couldn't make Evelyn's body feel satisfied. And that was what made Evelyn feel frustrated herself.
