My beloved Young Miss

My beloved Young Miss
40. An Offer

Evelyn increased the speed of her car, as if she was being chased by something frightening.

Ah, he's not afraid. But embarrassed.

Just imagine, how he still has a face when with the origin of admitting someone as his lover. It felt like Evelyn wanted to go home and hide in the blanket in her room.

"Miss, red light!" alvin's exclamation made Evelyn sober.

"Jeez."

Evelyn immediately braked her car. Ah, look at this, so shy of Evelyn, she forgot that Alvin was right next to her, in her car, with her.

While waiting for the traffic lights to change color, Evelyn tapped into her car's steering wheel. He glanced at Alvin. Evelyn and Alvin are now silent. None of them said anything.

Evelyn quietly glanced back at Alvin sitting next to her then looked back at the street before her.

"Miss, the lights are green" Alvin said again reminded.

"Ah, y-yeah."

Evelyn's back on her car's gas.

Twice.

Evelyn had lost her focus twice. He did not realize the traffic lights had changed to green. Evelyn could even hear the honking sound of the vehicle behind her considering the car they were driving was indeed in the front position.

While driving, Evelyn quietly took a deep breath and threw it away with a long gust, continuously trying to calm herself down.

All this time he had never been this unsettled and reckless. But today it's been like without direction. It looks like he's losing his mind right now.

Somehow since the presence of Alvin has managed to disrupt the focus of his life.

"Sylan!" Evelyn.

With a rough movement, Evelyn then slammed the steering wheel to the left, pulled her car to the side of the road and immediately turned off her car engine.

While Alvin was surprised and jolted from his position in the car seat. Fortunately, the seatbelt that Alvin wore managed to keep him from extreme movements.

Evelyn realizes she almost hurt Alvin. He looked at the young man worried. "You're okay, right?"

"Yes, I'm fine." said Alvin awkwardly.

"Is it really okay?"

"Yes, miss."

Evelyn exhaled. He closed his eyes and leaned his forehead against the steering wheel of the car he was holding, choosing to remain silent for a while, calming himself from his deeply troubled mind.

Alvin looked at Evelyn confused, "but is miss okay?"

Evelyn did not answer. The girl still maintained her down position.

"I'm sorry" Evelyn said in a very slow voice, almost like a whisper.

Alvin frowned confusedly, but he immediately shook his head. "Ah, I'm fine, miss. I'm gonna wear a seat belt, so-"

"Not that."

"Yes?"

Evelyn still closed both her eyes. The next second he straightened up his body while slowly reopening his eyes, staring straight at the street ahead.

"I'm not sorry about that."

"So, you're sorry about what?" Alvin smiled confusedly.

Evelyn turned to Alvin. The young man seemed to smile at him. Oh gosh. Evelyn really felt that she had no face now to deal with the young man.

"That ought I'm sorry for what I did to you."

"What did the lady do to me." Alvin looked confused.

"It's about me who's been willing to confess to me as your lover, in front of your ex-boyfriend."

Alvin nodded his head understanding.

"Ah, about that apparently." muttered Alvin.

"That must have surprised you, huh?"

"Little bit. That was quite a surprise for me. But I don't have a problem at all. I can understand Miss's intentions."

"Really, doesn't matter to you?"

"Yes, miss."

Evelyn then lowered her head, smiling wryly. "To be honest, it's kind of embarrassing for me."

Alvin froze in his position.

Secretly there was a sense of disappointment in his heart. What did Evelyn say just now, shameful? So, is it so embarrassing for Evelyn to have claimed to be her lover earlier.

"Right, it would definitely be very embarrassing for the miss to do that. Fortunately, no one heard it but Karina."

Evelyn looked at Alvin with furrowed brows. The young man looked down. There seems to be a misunderstanding here. Their conversation direction seems different.

"Alvin's."

"Miss just calm down. No one will believe that we are in a relationship. Not even Karina would believe it. So it won't be too embarrassing for Miss."

"No, Alvin. That's not what I mean." Evelyn explained.

"Then?"

"I mean, here it is precisely I who feel ashamed of you for having dared to confess me as your lover. I'm so embarrassed and feel bad about you, we've even just known each other but my attitude is so rude."

"What makes you feel bad?"

Evelyn sighed slowly,

"Of course I'm not good because without your permission I even claimed to be your lover. How could I do that."

Alvin realized, he had just misunderstood this young lady.

"Miss doesn't need to feel guilty like that."

"How come? That's the ridiculous thing Alvin!"

"And I don't mind miss." replied Alvin making Evelyn smile.

"really?"

"Yes, believe. I don't mind at all."

Evelyn nodded.

"Yes, but again I'm sorry to you. It's all because I was so upset that he told you something. You fucking girl!" as Evelyn hit the driver of her car.

"To be honest, I don't have a problem with that."

"No matter how?" pissed Evelyn. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel of the car, pushing it hard, holding back anger.

Alvin smiled doubtfully. "I'm really okay with that, miss."

"How could you take it for granted? How do you say you're okay after what he did to you. He's insulting you, Alvin!"

"Actually, I've been humiliated by her many times, miss. Ever since we parted, she's been insulting me like that. It has even started to become a very common thing for me. That's why I don't matter at all."

Evelyn looked at Alvin inside.

He secretly felt upset again. That damned girl must have done too much to Alvin.

"You guys broke up a long time ago?"

"We broke up a while ago. I forgot exactly when. Yeah, it's actually not forgetting, but I just don't want to remember."

"Why did you break up?" evelyn asked again.

Alvin fell silent, making Evelyn aware of her own question.

"Yes my. Ii'm sorry. I shouldn't have interfered too deeply." Evelyn rubbed her face.

"Why not? We're friends now." Evelyn retorted her shoulder.

Alvin remained silent for a while, looking down, playing his finger. He sighed slowly and then smiled.

"Actually, he was grabbing me."

Evelyn almost cursed herself hearing Alvin's words. How could anyone ever look up to a man as perfect as Alvin. Ah, that woman is so stupid.

"Poor."

"Yes?" Evelyn frowned confusedly.

"He's trying to get me because I'm poor."

Evelyn was silent.

He was wondering what sentence would come out of his mouth after this.

But there's no.

That's truth. That's one of the many common reasons for someone to show their lover. Of money. Everything will come back to money. One will look for a partner who has more money.

As a woman Evelyn could also say that reason was the most reasonable. Many women are more interested in money than love. For them, people live with money, not love.

Evelyn admitted, since childhood her life has been very prosperous. That's why he doesn't think about things like that. Easy money for him. So he never looked up to someone for his property. He just needs to find someone who gives him a sense of comfort.

Evelyn closed her eyes and looked down. Money can really destroy a lot of people. He seemed to think for a few seconds before he spoke again.

"Actually, I saw it." Evelyn said softly.

Alvin looked at Evelyn.

"See what?"

"Everything Karina said in the nightclub to you" Evelyn said, staring at Alvin, "I saw everything with my own eyes as she insulted you. I heard something bad he said to you."

"You there?" alvin's eyes are round.

"Yes, don't you remember we met on the balcony the same night? You're forgot?"

Alvin nodded. "Ah, right too."

"And I know the reason you cried on the balcony at that time was because of that woman."

"I'm not crying miss." protested Alvin.

"Well, you're not crying."

Alvin was embarrassed. To be honest, she was crying at the time. He simply refused to be seen as a weak and crybaby man.

"I think what he did to you back then was outrageous. And at that time you didn't fight either. That makes me very upset."

"Yes, I had no intention of retaliating back then."

"Why not?"

"Because everything he says is true."

Evelyn grumbled in annoyance. "You are right or not. It's a wrong thing to do when you insult someone else."

Alvin just shut up. Karina's actions to him are wrong. But he can what. Everything Karina said to her was true, wasn't it?

"Why don't you just give it back?"

"Returned?"

Evelyn nodded.

"Yes, avenge all that he did to you. Don't you want to repay her?"

Alvin speechless.

How could he do that. It never even crossed his mind to do that.

"As long as I live, I never accept when others trample on my pride. And now I want you to be strong, too. I want you to prove to people like Karina that you're special."

"I can help you repay me if you want to do it" Evelyn said.

"Help?"

"Yes! I can help you, if you want. You can make him regret for daring to waste yourself."

"But why should I do that?"

"Jeez." Evelyn rolled her eyes lazily. "That's because you have to prove to her that she's not the only woman for you. You can also make him regret having already appeared to you."

Alvin was silent for the umpteenth time.

It was obviously impossible for Karina to feel regret for betraying her. The girl was even already very happy with the other man now. Alvin felt that Karina was very grateful for leaving Alvin at that time.

"How's it?" ask Evelyn to make sure.

Alvin looked at Evelyn doubtfully.

"Karina can't be sorry, I mean, she-"

"He'll be sorry!" Evelyn said steadily.

"Miss Evelyn, Karina left me for a rich man. So how could he possibly regret."

Evelyn smiled.

"What if we manage to make him regret it?"

"What if it doesn't work?"

"We haven't even tried anything, have we?" Evelyn looked at Alvin expectantly. "It won't even hurt you if you try it. How's it?"

Alvin was silent again.

Make your ex regret?

What kind of offer did he just hear. Alvin looked at Evelyn. Secretly his heart began to feel interested. But Alvin quickly shook his head. After thinking about it again, honestly Alvin did not really like this idea.

"I don't think I want to return anything, miss" Alvin replied in the end.

Evelyn looked at Alvin a few seconds later.

"Yes, you are indeed too good for this kind of business" Evelyn said shaking her shoulders lazily. He looked back at Alvin.

"Listen, Alvin! You're not gonna decide now, okay? You have plenty of time to decide. I think you better think about my offer first, after that you can contact me again, then we discuss this again later. I'll wait for the moment you call me."

"Yes" Alvin nodded.

Evelyn approached to whisper to Alvin, "And if you want to call me, here's my card. All my contacts are here. Mobile number. Home phone number. My address. And so forth."

Alvin stared at the business card and then looked back at Evelyn.

"But I don't need this, miss. If I want to meet, I already know the address and the number of the lady's cell phone, right?."

"Yes, it's true. But it's fine. You better keep it."

"All right."

"Oh yeah, can you drop me off at the stop that's up ahead. I'll just take the bus home."

"You're not going back to college? What about your college assignment?"

Alvin shakes. "I'd better just go home. I'll tell my friends I have a sudden business."

"Then your bike?"

"No problem miss, my bike will be safe because it's in the campus parking lot."

"All right then."
