My beloved Young Miss

My beloved Young Miss
28. Meeting an Ex

That night it really felt so long for Alvin to work. He had even stared at the clock on his wrist many times just to make sure the clock he thought was somehow not moving at all.

Alvin sighed slowly while occasionally appearing to yawn widely. He tried to resist the drowsiness that attacked him earlier.

In fact, he felt very bored at this time because the task was not too heavy and did not make him busy enough. He was only assigned to help deliver drinks to nightclub visitors.

Once again, Alvin yawned wide until finally he was unable to withstand his sleepiness again. Alvin then decided to move his feet to the bathroom. Alvin intended to wash his face because he really felt sleepy and did not want his drowsiness to make bad things happen, such as spilling drinks for example.

A few moments later Alvin came out of the restroom in a fresher state. The sleepiness is a little less now. He sure can get through the night without worrying about causing problems due to drowsiness.

"Hey, Alvin!" the call flicked Alvin's steps and made him turn around immediately. That's Sandy, one of Alvin's coworkers.

"Yes?"

"Let's have a minute!"

Alvin immediately stepped closer to his co-worker.

"What's up, San?" ask Alvin.

"I need your help."

"Yes, what kind of help?" ask Alvin.

"Please deliver this bottle of drink to the table in the corner. The rest of my friends are busy right now. And a few more are serving visitors on the second floor. While I'm going to drop off the other drinks." Sandy said thrusting the tray she held onto Alvin.

"Oh well." said Alvin.

"Please, please."

"Yes, take it easy." replied Alvin again.

Alvin nodded then took a tray containing several bottles of drinks along with empty glasses and immediately delivered them to the table of the intended visitors.

"Excuse me, here's a drink. Please in-"

Alvin's words stopped, because once he reached the table, Alvin was silent. His body froze in position. His eyes looked at the beautiful girl sitting at the table in front of him. The girl seems to be joking with her friends right now.

And right then and there, the girl sitting opposite him turned her head, facing Alvin. The girl looked at Alvin with an equally surprised expression.

"You! Alvin?" said the girl still staring at Alvin with her shocked look.

"Karina.." reply Alvin smiled wryly.

Karina looked at Alvin confused. He felt shocked because he met Alvin who was also in this place. But Karina hurriedly turned her shocked look into a look of wonder when she saw the young man standing before her carrying a tray of drinks in his hand.

"Wow, what is this? An Alvin can be in the nightclub?"

Alvin just shut up.

"Why are you here?" ask Karina.

The girl looked at Alvin with a sinister look on her face. He then watched Alvin from top to bottom, staring at the maid uniform that Alvin was wearing today.

Karina seemed to be able to understand the current situation. And the next second, Karina again changed her facial expression to be more relaxed.

"Ah, are you a waitress at the club tonight, Alvin?" karina said to Alvin again, this time he spoke in a mocking tone.

"It's a nightclub, Alvin. Didn't you very much avoid going to a place of sin like this. Your work is getting more and more strange." continued Karina made her friends who were nearby to laugh mocking.

"Isn't he your girlfriend, Karina?" said one of the girls sitting in front of Karina.

"Yes, it's true. She's my girlfriend. More precisely the ex. I broke up with him."

Karina nodded her head haughtily.

"Yes, I actually had it a few days ago" said Karina haughtily.

"Wow, it turns out that the rumors that are circulating are true. He's really very handsome." replied another Karina friend. "You've broken up, haven't you, so can I have it?"

Karina just chuckles cynically. "You just take it. I don't care about old stuff anymore."

Meanwhile, Alvin was only silent when he felt that since then Karina had continuously mocked him in front of her friends like this.

He sighed slowly to calm down then calmly put the ordered drink of his ex-girlfriend on the table without even looking at Karina.

And because he felt he did not get the attention of Alvin, Karina back to act. He hugged the arms of his lover who had been talking with his partner not far from them.

"Steve baby, do you remember? He's Alvin, my ex."

Karina's new boyfriend turned his head and looked at Alvin. Steve looked at Alvin from the top down and then smiled cynically. "Of course I remember. Isn't he that stupid guy? What's name?"

"It's Alvin, baby."

Steve nodded. "Yes, that fool Alvin. Is he here, too, Karina?"

"Yes, I was shocked as well" Karina said with a cynical smile.

"What's with your clothes? Do you work here?" tease Steve again.

"It seems like he does work here, dear" Karina said as she glanced at Alvin coldly. "As a waitress, I guess."

Alvin just silently listened to the conversation of the people in front of him. He tried not to care even though his heart was in pain.

"Wow, Karina. You're too cruel. Look at her so sad." said friends Karina, pretending to be sympathetic.

"Yes, Karina. You're so mean." said the other girl.

Karina just chuckled casually in response to the words of her friends. To be honest he was also surprised by himself who had insulted that cruel Alvin. But his ego says something else.

"I don't think it's okay for her to get the truth sentence." said Karina while shaking her shoulders relaxed.

"Is there any other order, miss? Mister?" said Alvin who is currently still trying not to care about the words of the people in front of him. It just makes Karina surprised and so feel annoyed by herself.

Mister and Miss? Alvin just called her Miss? What the fuck? Karina grumbling. He felt unacceptable because Alvin had just acted as if he did not know him and even ignored him.

"Are there any drinks you'd like to add, miss?" ask Alvin again.

"Alvin, you-"

"I don't think there's any other addition. Then excuse me!" cut Alvin in a polite tone then quickly leave the place.

That made Karina grieve because Alvin did not pay attention to him at all.

"I think he's forgotten about you!" said a female friend.

"No way."

"Why is it impossible?"

Karina then leaned back in annoyance while looking at Alvin's back who was currently riding on the elevator to go to the second floor of the club.

"Of course it's impossible. Just so you know, she is dead love to me." Karina said with a confident sentence.
