My beloved Young Miss
26. Troubleshooting

Alvin stared at the campus area that already looked quiet considering this was the hour home from college. In his hands were two packets of chocolate ready to eat and a bottle of coffee ready to drink.

Honestly, he was so sleepy because of his reduced sleeping hours. She also remembers what Evelyn did to her in the nightclub parking lot. All that makes Alvin absolutely unable to focus on what the lecturer explained.

Yeah, if you're talking about last night's kiss. Alvin admitted it was so deep in his memory.

While taking a leisurely step, he tore off one of the two brown packs in his hand and bit off the tip.

"You hungry, aren't you?" dave asked without looking at Alvin, looking busy playing the phone in his hand.

Hearing the sudden question from Dave, Alvin who was focused on staring at the surrounding area suddenly allowed his eyes to look at his best friend. Dave was a meter and a half ahead of him, stepping his feet first.

Alvin nodded slowly and went back to biting the chocolate in his hand. "Lumayan is hungry."

"Wanna eat?" dave suddenly turned to look at Alvin, throwing a smile at his best friend.

Alvin raised his eyebrows, astonished.

"Eat?"

"Yes, lunch. You want to have lunch first?" ask Dave. "I know a good place to eat. Just opened. But I dare guarantee it's delicious and will be addictive."

"You're taking me to lunch together?"

"true."

Alvin did not answer. The handsome young man looked to think a little longer then shook his head.

"No."

Dave's smile faded, not expecting to be rejected by his own best friend. "Why?"

"It looks like I'm just eating at home" Alvin replied at the end while looking at the clock on his wrist. "I think I'd be late for work if I went to eat with you."

"But I'm hungry."

Alvin frowned as he looked at Dave after hearing the revelation. Whatdoes thatmean?

"Then why?"

"How about we eat. Both."

"Now?"

"Tomorrow, Alvin." answered Dave lazily. "Of course now."

"No. I told you already. No!"

"Why?"

"I told you, I want to eat at home."

"So you mean, you don't want to accompany your best friend? You're gonna let me eat alone. That so?"

Alvin chuckles at Dave's attitude. "Don't overdo it. It's just about lunch."

"That's it, Alvin. Lunch will feel better if you're with someone to chat with."

Alvin smiled, but still shook his head. "You go yourself. I don't have time for this."

"Come on Alvin, I'll deal. You accompany me to lunch. I don't want to eat alone. Sometimes I'll feel like a fool when I eat alone."

Alvin sighed lazily.

"I told you I don't have time for this. I'm busy, Dave. Anyway, I need a break. You forgot, my job-'

"It's just eating, Alvin." cut Dave. "Lunch. It won't change the little things in your life. Live in peace my friend."

"You must refuse this request from your friend."

Alvin seemed to think for a while, before then sighing resignedly.

"okay! Okay fine! We're gonna eat."

"You want to accompany me?" Dave's eyes seemed to sparkle.

"Yes of course."

"Seriously?"

"Hm."

"You're a really good friend." praise Dave for grabbing Alvin's shoulder and pulling him to walk.

***

It was exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, when Alvin walked into his little house with shaky steps. After placing his college bag carelessly on the floor, Alvin immediately threw his body onto the bed.

"It's safe, my palace house." muttered Alvin closed his eyes and exhaled slowly.

"I'm so tired." he muttered.

Alvin decided to take a break before getting ready to go to work. He needs rest. If he does not, his body will definitely feel exhausted because it is not good at managing rest time.

Morning until noon he had to go to college, while sorw until night he had to work at the club. He only had a few hours in the afternoon to rest and steal time to complete his college assignments.

Alvin tried to take a nap for a few minutes, trying to get rid of his fatigue, but it failed. He could not sleep because he suddenly had to remember something that was so disturbing his head. It was about his semester dues bill that he could not pay off.

Slowly, Alvin reopened his eyes and grabbed his college bag, pulling out a fold of paper from one of the bag bags. It was a bill paper given by the campus administration officer to her.

Alvin stared fixedly at the paper containing the date of the bill from the administrative officer that he got some time ago.

Just a few more days.

That was the deadline he had until the campus took him out. So how Alvin can get money to pay while this is only a matter of days. He just got a job. It was clear that he would not be getting any salary money in the near future

To be honest, Alvin doesn't have any money to pay. Alvin has. But if he had to use the money to pay his tuition, it's clear Alvin wouldn't be eating for the month.

Choosing between paying for college or a meal is not easy. For whoever it is. It's between life and death. Can Alvin say it like that?

Alvin admitted, even though he thought the salary at his place of work is currently very large but still he could not pay his tuition fee which was only given a period of a week.

"I'll soon have to pay the semester bills, while I'll only get a salary next month. What am I supposed to do?"

Alvin took a deep breath, then folded back the semester bill paper he was holding and stuffed it into his bag.

"How should I pay the bill." Alvin murmuring.

Alvin stared blankly at the wall of his room. Right now he could only daydream of his fate. If he had a deposit of a little more than he has now, of course, the cost of his studies would be safe.

But wait a minute. Stored money?

"Oh yes. Also true. Money stash." muttered Alvin sumringah.

He just remembered something. As he remembered he did have some savings as he had expected. Alvin's still saving the tip money the ladies gave at the club last night.

Alvin hurriedly got up and stepped towards the nightstand where he put the tip money last night. He opened one of the drawers and took the money there and counted the money.

After a few seconds of counting the money, Alvin was finally able to sigh in relief.

"Three million five hundred thousand. This is obviously enough to pay the bill. That means the problem is solved." he murmured sumringah.

Alvin doesn't believe this. The biggest problem is finally solved. The rest of this money he could even still use to eat for the next few days.
