"Are you a waitress in this club?"

Alvin looked a little surprised when he heard the sudden exclamation, resulting in his hand accidentally nudging his glass of water that was on the table.

"Geez, my work clothes" said Alvin hurriedly cleaning his work clothes that were wet from the spill.

"You surprised?" the woman looked surprised. He hurriedly approached Alvin to help return the glass to its position again. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it."

"Ah, no problem." said Alvin who currently still looks down, focused on cleaning up the remaining water spills on his clothes.

"One more time I'm sorry, okay. I didn't mean to surprise you like I just did. You're okay, right?" said the girl helped clean Alvin's work clothes from getting wet with tissue she got out of nowhere.

Alvin realized that the girl's tone was full of sympathy. He seems to care so much for Alvin, as evidenced by his hasty attitude to help clean Alvin's wet clothes.

"Here I help you clean your clothes, yeah."

"Ah, no need miss." refused Alvin.

"It's obviously my fault. I'm helping, yeah."

The woman still seemed busy cleaning Alvin's clothes. It seems to be quite successful in making Alvin feel bad.

"No need, miss. I was careless by nudging his glass. Let me." reject Alvin.

Alvin obviously refused the girl's help. She was a servant and the girl was a visitor, so Alvin might be willing to accept help and make the visitors he was supposed to serve behave like this to her.

"You're sure it's okay, right?" ask the girl.

"Yes, miss." said Alvin.

"I'm not feeling good."

"No, I'm really fine."

As soon as he finished cleaning, Alvin, who had lowered his head and focused on cleaning his clothes, finally looked up to look at the girl's face. And the look in his eyes was met with a pair of eyes belonging to the beautiful girl who was also looking at him.

"Oh yeah, I was asking you, are you a waitress in this club?" ask the girl again.

Alvin scrunched his forehead. To be honest, he was astonished by the question. Did the clothes he was wearing at the moment not quite show who he was?

"Hi, you heard me, right?" The girl flicked her finger in front of Alvin's face.

Alvin still seemed silent for a few seconds before finally opening his eyes.

"Yes, miss. I'm a waiter at this club." replied Alvin nodding his head. Alvin then stood up straight and twisted his body to face the girl straight. "Is there something you need?"

"Yes, there's actually something."

"What do you need help with, miss?"

"I'm a VIP guest here." said the girl again, but her words even made Alvin more confused.

Alvin smiled awkwardly.

To be honest, he did not understand the girl's intentions at all but he responded anyway. "Oh, then you must be looking for the VIP room, huh? Sorry lady, the VIP room is there. Do you want me to take you?"

The girl stared at Alvin for a few seconds, then chuckled. "Let me guess, you must be the new waiter here, right?"

"Surely, lady, I've only been working here for a few days."

"just fine. Turns out I was right." The girl was a beard.

"So, is there anything you need? Would you like to order a drink?"

"Ah, that's not what I meant." The girl quickly shook her hands while shaking her head. "I don't need any drinks."

"In that case, can I know what's going on?"

"I'm actually looking for a interlocutor."

"Talking buddies?"

"Yes, I happened to come alone today, so I'm looking for a friend." Monika spoke while smiling sideways. "And it seems I want to talk to you."

"Yes?" alvin replied, somewhat surprised.

How could he not be surprised when someone suddenly came and said he wanted to talk to you? That's weird, isn't it? Or is it just common here?

"What do you want?" ask Alvin to make sure.

"Chat."

"Chat?"

"Hm, right. Chatting you. Both of us, you and me." insisted the girl. "What's wrong? What am I saying less clearly to you?"

"Ah, no. But I-"

"By the way we haven't met" said the girl cutting off Alvin's words as she extended her hand. "My name is Monika."

The girl who claimed to be named Monika smiled happily. He seemed satisfied with their introductions.

"So how? Do you want to talk to me, Alvin?"

"That's. i-"

"Can't it?"

Unconsciously Alvin glanced back. He looked for Mr. Robert. Afraid the middle-aged man was giving a death look at him because instead of working, he was sitting alone with a girl here.

"Can, right?" asked Monika again because of the words that had not been answered by Alvin before.

"I.. actually.. my boss…"

"You're afraid your boss is angry?" guess it.

Alvin nodded, Monika smiled.

"It's okay. Relax!" said Monika. "If that's the case, you don't have to worry. Mr. Robert wouldn't be mad if he found out you were going with me."

"really?"

"Why did it come as such a surprise to you?" said Monika. "Do you not know who I am?"

Alvin was silent for a while then smiled awkwardly while shaking his head. "I'm sorry, but I don't know."

Monika looked at Alvin. He could not believe that this young man did not know who he was. How could? Even though Alvin is the new waiter at the club, he shouldn't at least know that he's a regular customer at the club tonight.

"Maybe you're a little confused because I suddenly came to you like this. But one fact about me. Almost all the handsome waiters in the nightclub are always willing to accompany me for a chat."

"That's what it looks like." Alvin mangosteen.

"really. But this particular evening was somewhat different. When I saw you I became interested and wanted to try it with you." Monika brought her face closer to Alvin, trying to whisper. "I'm trying to talk to you casually."

Alvin smiled nervously as the girl spoke from such a close distance to him.

"I used to do it with the waiter here. I'll even give you a tip if they're willing to accompany me."

"There's a tip?"

"Hm."

"For a chat?" Alvin seemed interested as Monika uttered a 'tip'. He began to take Monika's words seriously. How not, at this time he is in need of extra money to pay the cost of living a day.

Previously, Alvin did know if there were any tips while working here. She also got it from Evelyn and her friends who Alvin used to pay her semester bills.

"But why Mr. Robert never told me about this."

"That's because only the handmaid of choice can do this."

"Optional?"

"Yes, a waiter with a handsome face would be luckier."

Alvin looks mangosteen. "That's it, huh?"

The girl smiled looking at Alvin's innocent behavior. He's surprised. Why can this clumsy young man work in a nightclub where savages are like this.

Monika took a step closer to Alvin. "So how? Are you ready to talk to me, Alvin?"

For the umpteenth time, Alvin did not answer. He just kept quiet while thinking about his decision.

"Alvin.hey!" Monika flicked her finger in front of Alvin's face, trying to resuscitate the young man from daydreams.

"Yes?"

"You listening to me?"

"Yes, of course I heard, but I.." Alvin then lowered his head, still doubtful as to what answer he would choose.

"What's wrong? Is there anything that makes you so doubtful?"

"Nothing, it's just that visitors are crowded right now. Mr. Robert would definitely-"

"Come on, this is just chatting. Besides, I told you no, I'm a special customer here. And your boss, he won't get mad if you go with me."

Alvin took his breath. "alright. I'll come with miss."

"Good."

Monika smiled with satisfaction then stood up straight, tidying up her clothes. "Then follow me."

Alvin nodded and stepped following Monika who seemed to be heading to the vip room.
