Alvin seemed unable to hide his surprise. It was opened from his round eyes in disbelief after hearing the middle-aged man before him.
"I'm accepted?"
"Yes, right. You're welcome to work here."
"What is father serious?"
"Yes, of course I'm serious. You are accepted to work at this club." replied the middle-aged man again, clarifying his words.
Alvin looked at Mr. Robert was astonished, he still could not believe what he had just heard. It was accepted. Justjust like? Is it so easy to work here.
"Didn't I hear wrong, sir?"
"Not at all." said Mr. Robert. He smiled as if he understood the confusion that this handsome young man before him felt.
Mr. Robert continued, "So this is how the club needs a new servant as soon as possible. And coincidentally, you also had experience working as a waitress, right?"
"Yes, right sir."
"That's why you're accepted here."
Alvin may not have noticed the curved corners of his lips. But Mr. Robert could see it clearly.
"I'm sure because of your previous work experience, you must be quite dexterous in terms of serving our customers later."
Alvin couldn't disagree about it. He knows what Mr. Robert just now. Although in his previous job he was fired, but he did have experience being a servant.
Mr. Robert then continued, "In addition, you also have an outstanding appearance. That's the main thing it takes to work here."
"So that's it." Alvin nodded in understanding.
The manager smiled back. He was telling the truth. Alvin's stature is amazing. This young man before him had a handsome face, a tall body and a milky white skin. He believes that Alvin can become a new 'asset' at this club because of his valuable performances.
"You'll be working at this club from seven in the afternoon to one in the evening or so. And also, since you are still very new to this club, your monthly salary is three million. But if you are willing to overtime your salary will definitely be added." explained Mr. Robert was relaxed but looked serious.
"Why, ti-three million, sir?" ask Alvin in shock.
"Why? Is less?" asked the man staring at Alvin flatly.
Alvin quickly shook his head. "Bu-not so. It's just that it's a lot more than I expected." explained Alvin.
The manager smiled a little. He's got. For people like this young man, such a salary was not small.
"This place will be very crowded at night. People from all walks of life will come. That's why his salary is also impossible to mess around, because his work is also not messing around."
Mr. Robert continued his sentence. "I'll see how your performance will be. The club will obviously not hesitate to give you a bonus or maybe raise your salary if you work hard." explained the manager.
Alvin nodded in understanding. "alright, sir. But at the moment I haven't brought my cover letter."
"That's an easy problem. That you can give it to me later after you work here. I believe in your abilities." said the old man calmly.
"Good, sir!" Alvin nodded back.
Actually he did not need a cover letter Alvin because he believed this young man was a good young man and was able to serve visitors well as well. But just look, the rules at this club are mandatory to provide a cover letter. That's why he still ordered Alvin to give his cover letter.
"You can call me Mr. Robert. Everyone here calls me that."
"Yes, Mr. Robert."
"I will try to work well Mr. Robert!"
Mr. Robert nodded his head while smiling.
"You can go now. You can start working this afternoon too. And don't worry about anything. There will be a senior servant who will teach you everything about this club." said Mr. Robert again.
"Okay sir, then I resign." said Alvin then bowed half his body. "I'm very grateful to you for accepting that I work here" he continued.
The man nodded and smiled. "Don't hesitate. You can meet me if there's something troubling in your heart."
"Well, thank you once again, sir." said Alvin as he reached out to shake hands.
Mr. Robert returned a helping hand while smiling knots.
Alvin sighed in relief after coming out of Mr.'s office space. Robert. It felt as if his body was almost a statue due to the strain. For some reason when I saw the stern expression of Mr. Robert, the feeling of fear and reluctance gathered into one and made Alvin tense himself.
"Are you accepted?" said the beautiful woman who delivered Alvin some time ago.
Alvin nodded with a happy smile.
"I'm accepted."
"Wow, you're lucky."
"Yes?"
"Usually there will be a strict selection even just to look for servants. All this time Mr. Robert's too picky to look for employees at this club."
"Is that really so?"
The beautiful woman laughed. "really. I'm not lying. I think you better be grateful with that face of yours. I mean because Mr. Robert only always receives employees who look attractive. Just the pretty and handsome ones!"
"Ah, that-"
"Mrs. Robert always accepts attractive-looking employees to attract customers and make them happy." explains the woman.
Alvin just nodded even though he didn't quite understand the last sentence. He chose to say goodbye to the woman, only then did he pass away.
'Make customers happy? What does that mean?' inner Alvin.
And as soon as Alvin arrived outside the clubhouse that night, he kept laughing. I didn't expect to get a job so soon. Apparently not in vain he skipped college today. He even got a job with a decent salary without disturbing his college hours.
"Thank you, God." she said slowly. "I will not waste this work. I won't make a mistake like I did at my previous job."
After that Alvin sighed slowly. He feels calmer now. He recalled the reason his life was a mess was because he was still sad because he lost Karina. He understood all of that because Karina was his first love. And actually, as bad as Karina was, that girl was in her life and still meritorious as the one who taught her how to love and love each other.
But from now on Alvin doesn't have to think about the girl anymore, because she's ruined everything. His love, his trust, everything. And Alvin had to forget all that, he really had to forget Karina.
"From now on I will try to forget the rest of Karina's memories and focus on my life alone. Keep remembering it will make my life more messy and not calm." murmured Alvin full of determination.
After that, Alvin again took his motorbike which he had parked near the stall where he bought the drink.
He stopped his motorcycle and immediately went home to prepare to start his new job. And on the way home, Alvin kept thinking about how to rearrange his life so much better than it is now.
