"So, who is this unlucky young man?" said Daniel, the man sitting near Evelyn.
Evelyn who had been staring at the door immediately turned to the man in front of her who was crossing her arms haughtily.
"I can't believe this, Evelyn. You're knocking someone out again."
"What do you mean, Daniel?"
Daniel chuckles amusedly.
"I'm talking about the waiter. You were staring at him like a starving tiger." Daniel said in a mocking tone.
"Don't talk carelessly. Who do you call a hungry tiger."
Daniel again chuckled after successfully provoking the girl's annoyance. "Do you know him?"
"Call that" said Evelyn moved forward to pour the drink into her glass and Daniel's glass.
"So, who is he?"
Evelyn shrugged, looking very indifferent.
"Servant."
"You know that's not what I meant by the question, Evelyn."
"Why are you so curious?"
"Just curious."
"Then there will be no answer to your curiosity" Evelyn said, shrugging her shoulders casually. "Ah, I don't really have any obligation to answer your question either."
"That's right."
Evelyn glanced at the door where Alvin had just walked out. "I said I didn't answer."
"Oh come on, Evelyn." Daniel protest. He had no idea since when Evelyn had hidden her private life like this.
Daniel was one of those places where Evelyn used to tell her the problem. In addition to Ziva, Evelyn is always open to Daniel even to the smallest problems.
Daniel is a young man of American-Indonesian descent living in America. Daniel was someone Evelyn had known since childhood.
Evelyn and Daniel met while Evelyn was still studying abroad. During the holidays, Evelyn once brought Daniel back to Indonesia to meet Ziva and become them as three friends who can not be separated until now.
Evelyn doesn't have many friends. There was only Ziva and Daniel. He and Daniel hardly ever met. The young man preferred to live abroad and very rarely returned to Indonesia.
Daniel moved closer to Evelyn, he seemed unwilling to give up. "He's your bedmate, right?"
Next to Evelyn's eyebrows raised, then screeched, "It's not like that. I never even slept with her."
"Everything?"
"Absolutely."
"You're not lying?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Then? What's your relationship?"
"It's none of your business, Daniel!"
"He doesn't look like your usual type. He looks 'weak', I think. But I'm sure you guys do have some kind of special relationship."
"You just talk."
"I don't just talk. Never just talk. I always talk about facts." Daniel said. "I saw it myself anyway. The way you look at you, the way you look at him."
"Are we not meeting here to celebrate your arrival in Indonesia. Why are you talking about me now?"
For a moment, Daniel cast a look of astonishment at Evelyn. He looked at the girl from top to bottom, like he was judging something about her. "Because I'm curious. I guess your type has changed now."
"Ck, what's changed?"
"Now I ask, since when did your type of man change like this. What makes you like that guy?" Daniel was still staring at Evelyn, this time with a curious look. "What's his appearance?"
"You ask a lot."
"Of Eve, all this time you've only liked dashing men. While she?"
Evelyn stared back at Daniel in surprise. As he recalled, Daniel had never been so curious. The young man never wanted to know other people's business.
But what can be done, Daniel really knows him. The young man must have been very astonished because Evelyn could be interested in a servant like Alvin. Daniel wouldn't stop asking anything so Evelyn chose to just answer.
"Definitely the look, right?" ask Daniel again.
"Sort of like that."
"So right because of his looks." Daniel mangosteen. "I agree that he is handsome. But he's not rich."
"Want to?"
"Ah, you know clearly I mean, Evelyn."
Evelyn rolled her eyes lazily. To be honest this was the question he least wanted to answer. But Daniel was a close friend other than Ziva, so it was fine for him to discuss something like this.
"I'm rich. Yes it is true." Evelyn sipped her drink casually. "So that's why I don't need rich men. That's why you don't have to worry about me."
"Who said I was worried about you. I'm not worried about you. Not even a little. I was worried about that young man."
"Why is that?"
"Oh come. I know what kind of person you are. You're the type to leave someone after you've finished having fun with him. And I'm sure you'll do the same to that young man."
Evelyn fell silent then looked at Daniel fixedly.
"I wouldn't do that to her."
"really?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Why don't I believe it?"
"It's up to you if you don't want to believe it. But clearly this young man was different from the others."
"Different?"
"Yes. That's because.." Evelyn paused her sentence, "if the other guy was just me taking it as a place to have fun. But this guy, I like him so much."
