The clock has shown at half-hour one night, which means that Alvin has almost half an hour on the balcony of the club building, but Alvin has not returned to the club to serve visitors. He believes that his other co-workers must be looking for him right now.
A few moments ago Alvin decided to leave the crowd of nightclub visitors to rest. He went to the balcony behind the building to breathe fresh air that night. It was nothing, Alvin had to calm his mood that had turned bad since earlier.
The incident a moment ago, precisely when Karina mocked and insulted him still made it clear in her head. For some reason, from the vastness of this city he and Karina had to meet in this place, where he worked. Again, why should they meet in a place that even Alvin had never thought of before.
Alvin breathed slowly.
Why do all the bad and unpleasant things have to keep happening to him like this? He is tired of himself. He was tired of his life and the circumstances. Doesn't it look as if good destiny hates him.
Alvin noticed the lights of the vehicle that look beautiful when viewed from where he stands at this time.
Alvin is smiling. He was quietly immersed in his own thoughts as he stared at the scene from the light of the vehicle. Ah, even those lights look more beautiful than her life?
A minute later Alvin awakens from his own daydream. What did he just do? He clearly did not have enough time to mourn his fate at this time because he had to go back to work.
Alvin rubbed his face rough while exhaling his breath slowly. There's no time for this ridiculous thing. Eventually, Alvin decided to get ready and get back to work.
However, when he turned around, he was shocked when he saw the figure of the girl who was already standing nearby wearing a hoodie suit and long black leggings that looked tight on his body.
Alvin was shocked because he hadn't noticed since when the girl was here.
She's a girl Alvin knows very well. She's a pretty girl that she met a few days ago at this nightclub. And she's also the same girl that Alvin brought home that night.
A beautiful girl named Evelyn.
Evelyn stood in the balcony doorway with her hands folded over her chest, while her eyes continued to stare fixedly at Alvin.
Their eyes are now in sight.
Seeing the girl's face Alvin instantly recalled their kiss. Ah, not exactly when the girl got drunk and kissed her lips.
Silence for a moment. No one said a word at the moment. They just kept quiet, stared at each other, locked eyes on each other and just kept going like that, not moving or talking about anything.
Alvin thought to try to say hello first but he did not want to be considered as a person who is pretentious and made him undo the intention, he chose to remain silent.
"Are you crying?"
And finally that was the first sentence that came out of the girl's mouth.
Alvin gasped in surprise when he heard the girl who suddenly spoke. But wait, is the girl talking to him?
"Are you talking to me, miss?" Alvin asked while pointing at himself.
"Is there anyone else here?" ask Evelyn back.
Alvin then looked to his right and left, looking for other people who might be around him then shook his head.
"none. It's just us." he replied
"Why then did you ask who I asked earlier?" Evelyn.
Yes, in fact it is quite a complicated way to answer an easy question. But anyway why also Alvin did something silly by asking things that already have an answer like that earlier.
Evelyn began to move her legs closer to look at Alvin's face, making the young man look down.
"I just asked, are you crying?" ask Evelyn again.
Alvin looked up, hurriedly answering. "No."
"But why does your face say that you're crying" Evelyn said.
Alvin hurriedly touched his face and hissed at himself when he realized that he must be looking very messed up right now. Alvin was sure one hundred percent that his face must look very messy and his eyes must also be swollen because he had cried in silence just now.
Alvin then looked back at Evelyn who was still staring at him. Alvin then lowered his head down and stared at the floor under his shoes, refusing to look at Evelyn's eyes.
Not because of fear but because he was aware of how the girl was staring at his face. He stared at Alvin fixedly, scanning every inch of his face and it made Alvin feel uncomfortable. Ah, more precisely Alvin became embarrassed himself and misbehaved.
"Did your boss scold you?" Evelyn asked again, this time in a more assertive tone made Alvin so anxious because he was confused what to answer. It is impossible for him to tell her that there is a stranger. It would be very embarrassing.
Alvin chose to shake. "No."
Evelyn nodded. Of course not. Evelyn actually knew what the reason the young man was grieving at this moment. Must have been the insult of her ex-boyfriend.
Secretly Evelyn's jaw hardened, she again felt annoyed at the incident she witnessed earlier.
"Sorry, if you're bothered by my question" Evelyn said, seeing how agitated Alvin was right now.
"Ah, no. Actually I just want to go in." said Alvin.
"Is that?"
"Do you want to be here?" asked Alvin in a polite tone. "If you want to be here, I can go to-"
"No! You're here!"
"Yes? Meaning, miss?"
"I mean, you stay here." Evelyn said quickly to Alvin.
"But I think I should go back inside, miss. My job must be'
"Do I bother you to relax?"
"I don't care, miss. You're not at all disturbing. Really am. You can continue to wear the balcony. I'll go now."
To be honest, Alvin chose to leave because he was nervous to be alone with Evelyn like this.
"Don't I tell you to stay here?" evelyn said, her tone sounded cold right now. He did not want to lose the opportunity to say the thing he had kept all this time to this handsome young man before him.
"Ah that-" Alvin scratched his nape unsatisfactory with the situation. "But I have to work now."
"I'll take responsibility for whatever it is" Evelyn said, looking at Alvin with a serious look this time. "There's actually something I want to talk to you about."
Evelyn nodded. "So, you stay here. With me!" her door.
After a few seconds of thought, Alvin finally sighed and chose to agree, he looked at Evelyn. "Alright, miss." he said resignedly.
"Previously, introduce, my name is Evelyn ..." Evelyn introduced herself.
Alvin nodded slowly. She already knew Evelyn's name even though they had never been officially acquainted before. Alvin still vividly remembers the time when the girl tipped him for money.
"And you, you're Alvin, right?" Evelyn asked.
"Yes?"
Alvin looks surprised by Evelyn's question, it seems Evelyn already knows what her name is. But how could it be, they had never even gotten acquainted before.
"Umm, yeah, I'm Alvin. Nice to meet you, miss." said Alvin, constantly trying to calm himself from his shock.
"So like this. I want to say a big thank you to you" Evelyn said.
"Thank you?"
"Yes, right." Evelyn stepped onto the edge of the balcony, staring at the view. "Thank you for taking me home that night."
Alvin smiled understandingly.
"Ah, for that matter I sincerely help you, miss. Your friend looked very confused that night."
"Yes, he said the same thing to me."
"Em, is that it?"
"Yes" Evelyn nodded. "Ah, one more. I don't deserve to say this, but I also want to apologize. I really want to apologize to you."
"I'm sorry? But for what?"
Evelyn nodded as she continued to stare at the urban scenery.
"Hm yeah, I'm sorry for my cheap behavior. I mean, I'm sorry I had the courage to kiss you so recklessly that night." Evelyn said in a regretful tone.
Alvin turned to Evelyn, looking at the girl in surprise.
"I remember what I did to you that night."
Alvin then shook his head. "Ah that..if the problem is, you don't need mi-"
"You must have been shocked that night.." Evelyn chuckled to herself. "To be honest, it was a shameful act for me. I was drunk and accidentally. So again, I'm sorry."
"Actually I don't matter, miss. You don't have to apologize. Because I knew at that time you were in a state of unconsciousness when doing it." said Alvin.
Evelyn looked at Alvin with her sweet smile. He was amazed to know that there was something special about the young man. Alvin was special and it made Evelyn want to know more about him. Evelyn could not deny the attraction she felt towards Alvin.
Should Evelyn express her feelings? Ah, it doesn't seem like it's time yet. The feeling of this young man must still be chaotic because of the treatment of his former lover earlier.
"I'm sorry to say this. But I had to go back inside to continue working." Alvin lowered his head in embarrassment.
Evelyn nodded. "It's okay. I've said what I want to say. Thank you for listening to me tonight. You enter! And sorry for bothering you from your job."
"Ah, no problem, miss. Excuse me." said Alvin. He then walked past Evelyn to the balcony entrance.
As soon as Alvin disappeared, Evelyn let out a long breath. Actually he really wanted to stop the young man's departure. Wanted to call her back so that she could talk to him together for longer but what can I do.
Evelyn almost opened her mouth to call Alvin back, but the ringing of the cell phone flicked her movements
Evelyn grumbled and picked up the phone which turned out to be from Ziva.
"Are you done? Why so long? I want to go home now." Ziva said shortly after Evelyn picked up her phone.
"I'm going down now." Evelyn replied in a lazy tone.
He immediately steps out of the nightclub to meet Ziva in the nightclub parking lot.
"How's it?" ziva asked Evelyn shortly after he arrived at the parking lot.
Evelyn did not answer Ziva's question. He walked quickly to the place where his car had been parked before.
"Hey, can I tell you how you met him just now?" asked Ziva once more while following Evelyn's footsteps from behind.
"How's what? I'm not done with him yet but you've been bothering me by calling me!" nagel Evelyn was upset.
Ziva chuckles. "So you're upset about that?"
"Of course."
Evelyn opened the door and immediately got into her car followed by Ziva who entered the door next to her.
"Wait first. You shouldn't be so obsessed. You still have tomorrow to see her again, Eve." Ziva replied after sitting comfortably in the car.
"Yes, it's true, but-"
"Hey remember! You're Evelyn. You have to sell expensive! All this time there was no man who did not chase you, so be aware and stop being upset about this little thing. You're going crazy because of that young man." Ziva tried to remind her while putting a seat belt on her body.
Evelyn was silent for a moment when suddenly her face turned into a sigh. Ziva who saw it from the next chair so cringe himself.
"What's with your face? You look scary, you know" said Ziva looking timid.
"You know what, Ziva? I think I have another idea."
"What idea?"
"I'll be friends with him." Evelyn glanced at Ziva with a sneer that made Ziva even more shudder in horror.
