My beloved Young Miss

My beloved Young Miss
36. No Rewards Needed

Within fifteen minutes, Evelyn had successfully escorted Alvin back to his campus. They are currently in the car right in front of the gate of the campus where Alvin is studying.

"Are you sure you don't want to be taken inside?" Evelyn asked confirm, staring out the car window.

"Yes, miss." Alvin nodded.

"You have to pick up your bike in the campus parking lot, right? I can get you there."

"No problem, miss. Just getting here is enough."

"Ah, so."

Evelyn gave up and nodded her head in understanding. Evelyn believes that at this time Alvin would just not want to trouble himself.

Alvin stared at the deserted gate of his campus. Only one or two students could be seen passing by.

"I think I should go now. I'm kind of in a hurry. Actually some of my friends are waiting for me inside."

Evelyn's brows furrowed. "Isn't it already college hours?"

"Yes, indeed. But some of my friends are still inside. We have an appointment at two this afternoon because we want a discussion about group work."

"Ah, really? Too bad your friends can't see me."

"Yes?" Alvin is confused.

"I think you should be able to get me to meet them." Evelyn chuckles.

Alvin scratched the back of his head, smiling awkwardly. "That problem-"

"It's not funny if they think we're in a relationship" Evelyn said casually and then blinked one eye at Alvin.

Hearing that sentence, Alvin's facial expression quickly changed. He then looked embarrassed.

"So, may I come in and meet your friends?" evelyn asked as she looked out the car window regardless of Alvin's embarrassed expression.

"Huh? Meet my friend?" alvin asked nervously. He didn't know this girl was talking seriously or joking now.

Evelyn then turned to look at Alvin.

"Don't you just do it?" evelyn seemed to think for a moment. "What do you think, Alvin?"

"That, i..."

Evelyn then chuckled slightly as she looked at the nervous expression on the young man's face. He was almost crazy for holding back his laughter. Why is this young man so innocent. It's so easy to lie. And one more thing, the expression on Alvin's face when he was nervous was really supportive.

Actually, Evelyn had only intended to work on it. Where might also he suddenly come to meet friends like Alvin when he and Alvin also just became friends.

"Then next time." Evelyn said at the end while shaking her shoulders relaxed.

"I-yes" said Alvin, looking relieved.

The situation in the car became quiet for a few seconds. Alvin should have gotten out of the car by now. But his heart refused. Even opening his mouth to say goodbye Alvin felt reluctant. And Evelyn did not want to say goodbye to Alvin.

The two of them refused to leave each other, as if they did not want to separate.

"Ah, by the way I have something for you" Evelyn said breaking the silence.

Without waiting for any answer, the girl immediately took out a brown envelope from inside her bag.

Evelyn then thrust on Alvin. "Take this!"

"This what?" Alvin stared at the envelope Evelyn gave him.

"It's money, for you!"

"Yes, but for what, miss?"

"As a thank you from me." Evelyn said as she looked at Alvin while her hand was still holding the envelope.

"Thank you for what? We're just eating." Alvin is confused.

"Yes my. You're so cute." Evelyn immediately laughed as she looked at Alvin's face.

The girl cleared her throat for a moment before answering Alvin's confusion.

"This is a thank you for what you did to me that night" Evelyn explained.

"What am I doing?"

Evelyn nodded slowly. "You helped me and Ziva that night. You even drove me home. Did you forget?"

Alvin then pushed back the brown envelope Evelyn gave him that contained the money. "I don't think I can accept this."

"Why?"

"Miss, back then I just wanted to help. Your friend looks troubled, so I have to help him. If you want to thank me, just say thank you. Not giving money." said Alvin.

"What you're saying, this is how I thank others. So take this money, quick." Evelyn returned the envelope.

"And this is not how I help people, miss. I can't take it."

"You're refusing money?" evelyn asked doubtfully.

Alvin nodded. "I don't need anything in return, miss."

"Don't joke." Evelyn protested.

Evelyn was a bit surprised now. This was the first time in his life that he saw someone who refused to give money to someone else. Hey, who in the world would refuse free money?

"I'm not kidding." Alvin then smiled. "Miss, I told you on the balcony that night. I help you sincerely and sincerely."

Evelyn put the money on the dashboard of her car. Right now he was even more interested in talking to this young man before him.

"Are you serious about what you say?" Evelyn stared in amazement.

"I mean it, miss. I don't need anything in return from you." Alvin nodded convincingly.

"Alvin, but-"

Alvin grabbed the envelope from the dashboard and handed it back to Evelyn.

"Here's your money, take back this money, lady!" alvin smiled softly.

"Ck, I just wanted to thank you. What harm?" Evelyn knitted her two eyebrows.

Alvin sighed and smiled back at Evelyn. To be honest he could understand why Evelyn was astonished by her decision.

"There's nothing wrong with your thanks, miss. But if that's a thank you, I think the chicken porridge treaty was enough, miss. Take this money again!" abugn.

Evelyn screeced. Angrily he pulled the envelope from Alvin's hand and put it in the bag. This is really unbelievable. How can someone refuse money? He's totally inexhaustible now.

"Just give it up." Evelyn said, shaking her shoulder indifferently.

"Then I go down first" Alvin told Evelyn.

After that slowly, Alvin draped his college bag next to his shoulder strap and looked at Evelyn.

"Thank you for the chicken porridge treaty" said Alvin politely.

"Yes, but can we eat again next time."

Alvin seemed to think for a while before then he smiled and nodded his head.

"Of course." replied Alvin.

"Thank you." Evelyn replied.

After that Alvin immediately got off Evelyn's car. He closed the car door and looked down, staring at Evelyn through the car window.

"I go in first." said Alvin.

"Yes, comein!" reply Evelyn who is still waiting in the car.

"Miss be careful on the road." exclaimed Alvin waving at Evelyn.

After Alvin stepped into the campus. Evelyn's eyes continued to stare at Alvin's back until the young man entered the campus gate.

But just as Evelyn was about to start her car engine, her eyes focused instead on the object in her car's door trim.

"What's that?" Evelyn frowned.

The girl narrowed her eyes to make sure what it was. And at once Evelyn's eyes immediately rounded as soon as she realized what it was. It was clearly a cell phone. And he knows who owns it. It clearly belongs to Alvin.

Evelyn hurriedly picked up the thing.

"Alvin's phone's left behind."
