"Isn't he handsome? I mean look at her face." said Helena, right after the departure of the handsome, handsome waitress.
"Not handsome, but very handsome." replied the other girl.
"The body smells too."
"I agree. God, I can even smell her scent even just by passing through it. Ah, I really want to smell that fragrance every day." Helena chimed in.
"But baby, it seems like the handsome waitress is only interested in Evelyn." continued the blode-haired girl.
"really. Did you guys see that? She just kept staring at Evelyn without blinking when I was busy teasing her. It sucks." said Helena cynically.
"Ah, I'm so jealous of Evelyn. She always teases the guy we like even without doing anything." replied another girl making a sullen expression.
Evelyn chuckled, responding. "Yes, right. I didn't flirt with him at all but he was still tempted. So, better blame yourself for failing to tease her." - Evelyn.
"What are you guys talking about? I felt that Evelyn was the one who was actually interested in the servant." Ziva blinked one eye at Evelyn to tease the girl.
"Me?" Evelyn pointed at herself and was immediately reciprocated by a nod by Ziva.
"Yes, you looked at the waiter with a hungry look."
"What did you say?" Evelyn scratched her neck awkwardly.
"You can't cover it from me." Ziva replied again.
"Hi, what's wrong with you guys. He's just a waiter, why should you praise him to such an exaggeration!" said one of the male friends who was sitting not far from them, seeming to be getting bored with the topic of conversation about this servant.
"You're just jealous, Sean. You must also have realized that he was handsome. Even more handsome than you." said Ziva mocking his boyfriend while occasionally making out with his girlfriend sitting next to him.
"Curtain, want to be handsome like anything. Still, he was just a servant." replied Sean who still did not want to lose and made the girls laugh at the look of jealousy on the man's face.
Ziva then turned to Evelyn. The girl just sat quietly in her position now. As if I have no interest in saying anything.
Evelyn did not even say anything to refute Ziva's words as she teased him earlier. Evelyn was also more silent, listening to her friends talk. That's kind of weird, because usually when they get together like this Evelyn's always been someone who talks a lot.
Realizing the strangeness of his best friend, Ziva finally got up and changed positions to be able to sit right next to Evelyn who had somehow just sat quietly since then, daydreaming with eyes that kept glancing towards the door.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?" ziva asked as he held the arm of his best friend and replied Evelyn with a confused look.
"Why me?"
"You just shut up? Are you sick?"
Evelyn smiled at Ziva and shook her head slowly. "I'm fine. You take it easy."
"You sure?" ziva asked, staring worriedly at Evelyn. "You look dreamy and also very silent tonight. Is there anything troubling your mind right now?"
Ziva tries to find out the cause of his best friend's turmoil. Evelyn never shuts up at a party. He's the type of person who always enlivens the atmosphere.
Evelyn sighed softly then looked at Ziva fixedly. His best friend understood him the most.
"Yes, there really is something that bothers my mind" Evelyn relented.
"I thought so." Ziva smiled with satisfaction.
"Something's disturbing, but it's not about me."
Ziva furrowed his brows in confusion. "Then about what? Ah, what about your new boyfriend?"
Evelyn shook her head. "Not."
"Wantas? Who is the one who has made my best friend so upset like this." joked Ziva.
"It's about the waiter" Evelyn said quietly after a few seconds. His voice was very slow, almost whispering, as if he did not want to be heard by anyone but them.
"Servant? What do you mean the handsome waitress who just delivered our drink earlier?" asked Ziva, Evelyn gave a small nod in response.
"Yes, it's about him."
"What's wrong with him?" tanya Ziva was getting confused and curious.
Evelyn took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before answering Ziva's question. "Actually, I've met him somewhere else, before this, I mean before tonight." explains Evelyn.
"Wow, is that true?" Ziva said in shock. "When is that?"
"What's? Hit him?"
"Yes, almost."
"Then how? Is she okay? Is he hurt?" asked Ziva in surprise. "But he looks fine. I didn't see a single wound on his body either." he muttered while trying to remember again.
Evelyn shook her head slowly. "No, he wasn't hurt. I told you earlier that my car just almost hit him."
"That's what it looks like."
Evelyn went back into silence for a while before continuing her sentence. "But I don't think he remembers me at all as the owner of the car that almost hit him that afternoon."
"Oh, wouldn't it be nice if he didn't remember you?" Ziva says wonder. "At the same time you just almost hit him, not really hit him. He's not hurt at all, so what's the problem?"
"That's exactly the problem. That's what pisses me off, Ziva. The fact that he could easily forget me. That's what I don't accept." Evelyn said with an annoyed look.
"But why should it upset you." asked Ziva, increasingly astonished.
"That problem..."
Evelyn smiled awkwardly. How could he tell Ziva that he was so disappointed that the young man didn't remember him as much. Imagine, in the eyes of others, Evelyn was an important person and could not be easily forgotten.
But it was much different with this young man. Just a few days after their meeting, she did not recognize Evelyn's face. I don't know why, but it broke Evelyn a little bit.
Evelyn felt so disappointed for the first time in her life.
Ziva looked at his best friend closely then brought his face closer to Evelyn and whispered. "Are you interested in him?"
Ziva's question managed to make Evelyn's body stiffen. His facial expression turned awkward.
"Huh?"
"You might like him, but he forgot about you and made you upset and angry, is that it?"
"That's impossible." Evelyn grimaced awkwardly. Ziva's words are one hundred percent true.
"What is impossible."
"There's no way I like it!"
"Why?"
Evelyn remained silent. He then took a slow breath. He leaned his back against the back of the sofa behind him while shaking his hand. "It's okay, Ziva. Forget it."
"All right." Ziva shook his shoulders relaxed. Yes, although Evelyn's answer still hangs and makes her curious, but Ziva also has no right to force her friend to tell her story.
After that little talk, Evelyn downed her drink and sighed softly again. Evelyn's confused. How do you tell Ziva that he's heartbroken because the person he likes doesn't remember his face? Her pride was too high to let Ziva laugh at her.
Yeah, Evelyn likes that waitress. Somehow it can. They had only met twice but Evelyn was already interested in him.
Ziva looked back at Evelyn. "But I'm a little curious. Didn't you ever tip a waitress at your father's nightclub before. But the young man got it. Was it because of the accident?"
"More or less. Even though I didn't hit her, but my guilt for her was still there." Evelyn explained as she downed the drink in her hand.
Evelyn then turned back to the door, where the handsome maid had come out.
'Actually the problem is. The man has indeed managed to steal my attention but I am still hesitant and also embarrassed to tell Ziva.' Evelyn said in her heart.
While Evelyn was still agitated with herself, Ziva suddenly raised his drink.
"OK everything! Tonight is the time to have fun." Ziva exclaimed loudly.
Everyone raised their glasses while laughing happily. Ziva turned to Evelyn who had not yet raised her glass, still daydreaming.
"Hey, what are you waiting for, Evelyn? Let's quickly raise your glass." said Ziva while helping to raise Evelyn's hand holding the glass.
Evelyn smiled as Ziva raised his drinking glass up.
"OK, okay, let's toast" Evelyn told her friends.
