Chapter 45. Love you

Rani was terrified beyond measure, her face was pale and her body was trembling violently. He ran away crying, not paying attention to the path he was walking. Tears blurred his eyes, until he accidentally stepped on the body of a poisonous snake.

Moving away or staying still in place, the snake will still prey. Not knowing what to do, the scary animal's head stood upright and continued to stick out its tongue.

“Go, stay away from me. Please,” whispered Rani in an imploring voice. Rani chose to retreat slowly, and the snake moved following. The rustling sound of leaves was clearly heard in the hearing.

A swift moving shadow flashed in front of him, Rani flinched. Suddenly, the snake split in two. Rani turned her head, surprised and happy to see King coming.

King jumps down from his horse, as lightning strikes Rani. Raising his body and the powerful arms of King encapsulated Rani in his arms.

“King!” Rani hugged King's neck tightly, no matter his body that glittered in the sun and was drenched in sweat. He put his face on King's chest and cried sobbing. “I'm scared once.”

King took a step back, turning Rani's body in his arms and carrying her while walking to find a safe place. He lowered Rani and held her shoulder, the woman looked back at him.

“I warned you, but you won't listen to me!” king's tone of voice was rising.

“You blame me, after what just happened to me? You made me like this!” rani shouted back, not expecting King to scold her.

“You should have noticed your step! How about you get the snake and I'm late to help you?!” king's jolt riled up, he shook Rani's shoulder.

Rani shook her head weakly, gulping with difficulty. Her tears were flowing, next to her with the back of her hand. “If you don't come in time to help me, then I'll die. And you can never see me again in this world.”

“How dare you say that to me!” sahut King is angry.

“I tell you the truth, the snake is venomous and I can die at any time if ..”

“Stop, I don't want to hear it. You must accept the punishment for worrying me.” King cupped Rani's teary face, unable to bear to see her cry. The tip of his fingers rubbed the tears that fell on his cheeks.

Then King lowered his head, his lips opened and searched for Rani's lips. Anger, fear, and anxiety blend into one. Rani's breath was stingy, King's kiss this time was so demanding. King's fingers started to move down.

Rani felt King's body stiffen, as the handsome face descended and stuck to the niche of his neck. King tightened his embrace, burying Rani's face in his chest. His breathing roar hunted down, hitting his hair, ears, and facial skin.

“You can't do that to me,” muttered King and kissed Rani again, and only stopped when you heard Rani's sobs in her ear.

“You kept kissing me, saying I was lonely and needed comfort from you. You make everything we do look so cheap.” Rani pushed hard on King's chest, but the man was unmoving.

“I never considered what we did this cheap,” replied King. “I'm just not sure how you feel about me, you need a place to calm down after your fight with your fiancee. Then after everything calms down again, you will return to him and leave me here.”

“I did need a place to calm down, but I came here after I broke off my engagement to her. I met you, then fell in love with you.” Rani shrinks her tears, turns her face away and steps away.

“Then he came to see you here, and asked you to come back to him. And you agreed, I saw him kiss you. The former lips are still not completely disappeared from your neck,” replied King, not intending to hold back Rani's steps.

Rani turned around, looking back at King. “I've told you many times, we've been broken up a long time. And I never agreed to ask him to come back to her again. What you saw that day was a mistake, he forced me to kiss and I tried to avoid.”

“Can I trust all your words, You look happy when you are with him.”

“He's a guest of my grandmother, he came with the intention of buying a farm owned by Mr. Philips. Nothing to do with me,” explained Rani again.

Rani doesn't care that she has to declare her love for King first. Let King know and be sure of him.

King walked up to Rani, grabbed her arm and pulled her fast until Rani's soft chest hit her chest again. He clutched Rani's shoulder, and asked the woman to repeat her words.

“Say once again, I want to hear it.”

“No want!” reject Rani, she tries to break away. But King instead locked him up and wrapped his arms around Rani's waist.

“Say, I beg.” Pinta King again.

Rani looked up to raise her face, and found King staring fixedly into his eyes. Her chest pounded, but Rani ventured to touch King's face. “I love you Mister Hardy.”

Rani's eyes widened in surprise, again King kissed her. This time it was softer and more friendly, making Rani cradle and re-drap her arms around King's neck.

“Love you too, Princess Empress.” King's whisper in Rani's ear. “I'm sorry I didn't believe everything you said. “I love you too, since I first saw you at the airport that time. And I'm glad that you want me to perform in front of everyone and I'll introduce you as my lover.”

“At that time I thought you were trying to make your ex jealous and convince him that we are a real couple.”

King laughed, he rubbed Rani's face and kissed her forehead long ago. “I'm glad to know you here.”

Rani wrapped her hands around King's waist, and laid her face on his chest. “Don't work often with a chest like this, I don't want any other woman to see you like this.”

King chuckled, he let go of Rani's embrace and ran over to his horse. Soon he returned and had put on his shirt again, then put his arm around Rani's shoulder to take her away.

“Taste better?” king's tone of voice softened, Rani's eyes fixed.

Rani blinked, then nodded. King stretched his embrace, and Rani instantly moved away. His body was still slightly trembling, and his eyes immediately looked at the ground around him.

“You know, snakes don't like sunlight. The animal will find a cool place to take shelter. Next time you have to be more careful, and wear boots and jeans when you want to come see me here.”

Rani blushed in embarrassment, King's words were right at heart. He did come to see King, but never expected to meet and face the venomous animal.

“I will remember it well,” said Rani, then turn her face away. Unable to look at King's handsome face as the man spoke to him.

“Can you walk alone to your car, or should I take you there again?”

“I can walk by myself.” Rani quickly stepped away, and almost fell down because her legs were still shaking.

King quickly grabbed Rani's body and directly carried her. “Why do you like to defy my words, do you deliberately want to provoke my emotions in order for me to punish you and kiss you again here?”

Rani instantly covered King's mouth with her fingers, she shook her head and King frowned. Rani gestured to look back, and King grimaced as soon as he saw from a distance the workers standing in line near the tractor waiting for them.
