Chapter 34. Not dating

Rani pegs herself in the mirror, smiling with satisfaction at her appearance. Floral dress without arms limited to the knees she wore attached fitting on her slim body contains.

“Beautiful, and you look fresher with that dress!” In the doorway, the grandmother who stood watching smiled in praise.

Rani laughs, she holds the end of her dress and begins to do a twisting motion until the bottom of her dress looks fluffy. “What does Grandma want to dance with me?”

Grandma chuckles to hear, “I'm old, my body is not as flexible as it was when I was young.”

“I heard Grandma do it, dancing in front of grandpa at the school graduation party and making grandpa can't blink.” Rani is still circling around on her tiptoes like a ballet dancer.

“That's the most beautiful memory of my life, since then Me and your grandfather became close.” Remember Grandma, smiling with a look in her eyes. Always like that, every memory with the late grandfather Rani the heart of grandmother became melancholic.

Rani stops her movements, along with the sound of King's car horn. Rani walked over and immediately hugged Grandma. “I'll be dancing in front of him, but I'm not sure King will be impressed to see it.”

Grandma laughed, she cupped Rani's face and kissed her forehead. “You don't have to dance in front of him just to impress him. King is not a man who easily falls apart with seduction, many young women are trying to attract his attention out there.”

“I'll remember all Grandma said about her, I went first huh, Nek.” Pamit Rani kissed her grandmother cheek back. He ran outside the house and smiled broadly to see King walking up the stairs.

“King!”

“Hai.” King raised his face, looking at Rani for a moment.

“Happy fun,” said grandma appeared behind Rani.

King nodded his head, his gaze centered on Rani who looked beautiful with the dress she was wearing. Her long hair was left untouched touching her exposed shoulders and arms.

Rani herself could not turn her face away from King, the man looked handsome with a plain blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans she wore.

“Are you guys going to keep standing here and look at each other?” reprimanded grandma stood on the steps between Rani and King, who instantly awakened the two.

Rani blushed with blushing cheeks, while King only smiled as he rubbed his chin. Both of them immediately say goodbye and between the grandmothers to arrive in front of the car.

King opens the door for Rani without touching her, and Rani is grateful for their closeness this time being able to make her heart beat.

“Beautiful,” whispered King when they were in the car, and Rani just finished putting on her seatbelt and waving at her grandmother.

Rani turns her face, the eyes of the two meet. Rani's heart suddenly thumped, King's eyes seemed to soften as he looked at her.

“Of course, I am indeed beautiful from birth.” Rani replied as she blinked her eyes, trying to appear cheerful as usual even though her heart seemed to be jumping out of the nest.

King laughs to hear it, “You seem confident once.”

“It should!” rani replied with smiling lips. “You also look handsome tonight,” praise Rani.

King turned on his car engine, turned his head for a moment and smiled looking at Rani. “Thank you, I know very well that I'm handsome.”

King opened his eyes. His thick eyebrows twitched, his face looked adorable and Rani had to refrain from reaching out and touching him.

The whole journey was filled with light conversation, and without feeling they reached their destination. King pulled his car near a big tree, a little away from where the event took place because on the side of the road was filled with many vehicles visitors who came.

King got out of the car, walked around and opened the door for Rani. His outstretched hand grabbed Rani's arm, helping her down. Rani receives King's helping hand, and lets the man continue to clutch his hand to walk towards the crowd.

“About once, King.” Said Rani turning her body looking at the crowd around her.

“Parties like this are always held once a year. Many impromptu traders from nearby residents sell their goods here, and the event organizers do facilitate them all for free to help the local economy.” Obviously King.

Rani could see clearly how the open field in the city square was decorated in such a way that it looked so attractive with many colorful lights surrounding it.

On each side of the field left and right there are many small tents that sell various kinds of food and other items. Not to miss the game rides for the visitors who want to play.

The place reminds Rani of the night market she frequented when she was a child. In the middle of the field there is a large stage with an accompanying band complete with musical instruments.

Rani also tried various kinds of food sold there. Along the way King continued to clasp his hand, only occasionally taking it off when Rani had to taste her food.

“King!”

A group of young women ran over to King and smiled at him. King greeted back, and asked them to speak. As if they were meeting his idol, they seemed enthusiastic to listen as King spoke.

Rani who was tasting food nearby, sat watching. They did not glance at Rani at all and ignored her, until King hugged her shoulder and introduced herself to all of them as her fiance.

Their attitude instantly turned sweet, and Rani only answered their occasional questions and preferred to enjoy her meal.

“You have a lot of fans in this place,” said Rani when King had to reply to the greetings of young women who passed by them, as King invited her around again. “And almost all young women.”

“How can I reduce my charm, I realize I'm handsome and make many women fascinated.” King raised both his hands.

Rani turned her head, while the owner of the name just stayed in place while exhaling. Again a young woman shouted to King, along with Rani who also called his name.

Rani doesn't care if King calls out her name, she's more focused on seeing the game in front of her.

“Ayo, come. Two more pairs, we will soon continue this game!” the voice of the host is heard from a loudspeaker installed in every corner of the game area.

“Two big cups of ice cream as an extra gift, one smart phone brand Sowemi latest edition as a gift for the winner of this game!” continued again.

“Pull to try?” King knew he was nearby.

“Who is afraid,” said Rani, instantly raised her hand high. He grabbed King's hand and took him running, joining the other pairs of participants.

“Yeaa, we have found two more pairs. Get the participants ready!”

“Male participants will hold their female partners while doing a crouching motion and then stand up again within ten minutes. A fall is considered a fall and cannot repeat the game again. You guys ready?”

Rani smiles while listening to the instructions of the host, what should each participant pair do. While King moves his shoulders warming up.

The whistle had already blown, the participants began to show its compactness. Many cheers of the audience were encouraging, the atmosphere grew boisterous when one of the participants was not strong holding his partner and fell down on his female body.

Many participants were killed, until there were two couples left and one of them was King and Rani. The host showed an ice cream cup in his hand that looked tantalizing.

There was a cry of disappointment, the opposing participants had fallen and there were still two minutes left.

“Come, darling. Spirit to get ice cream,” whispered Rani while rubbing King's dewy forehead with her fingertips.

King looked at Rani in the eyes, the woman draped her arms around her neck. Their distance was so tight, King could feel Rani's heart beating fast.

He exhaled a long breath and then swung Rani's body in his carrier, her knees began to feel sore because they had to repeatedly squat while holding Rani.

“We countdown now, five, four .. and the winners are King and Rani. Congratulations to you both!”

Rani laughed happily, she immediately kissed King's cheek to vent her excitement. And King did not immediately release Rani's embrace, he kissed Rani's lips back quickly to make all the audience cheer to see them.
