My Beloved Cowboy's

My Beloved Cowboy's
Chapters 11. Loft room

The party was over, the mothers and their daughters as well as the farm workers had returned to their homes, including King. Before returning home, Rani reminds King to keep his promise that will take him riding together.

“OK, Miss. Once my hands improve, I'll take you riding together. I remind you to wear jeans and boots!” king said back to remind, and Rani laughed at hearing that.

Rani escorts King to his car, although King's injured hand is still able to drive alone. “I'm home.”

Before leaving King looked at Rani for a moment, “I want you to know, I sang that song specifically for you. Remember to open your heart, and you can start making your days better.”

King returns home, leaving Rani still glued to her place remembering King's words to her. What did all of her words mean, Rani asked inwardly.

A gentle touch on her shoulder made Rani aware, she turned her face away. Rey stood looking at him, “Are you going to keep standing dumb here, while there's still a lot of work we have to do?”

Rani forced her smile, “Why are you still here?”

“I just want to help Madame Maggie clean up the remnants of the party at her house,” Rey replied.

Rani exhaled, it seemed like she had to get rid of her thoughts about King's words for a while. There's something more important to do now. “Alright, let's do it.”

The house began to look empty, only a few people chose to stay and help clean up the remnants of the party, including Rey. The opportunity was used by Rey to get back to Rani.

Tables and chairs have been cleaned and returned to the original place, just clean up the former tableware and drink the guests only. Rani headed for the kitchen, not staying silent.

Rani immediately put on an apron and rolled up her sweater sleeve, then started pouring dish soap into the container. Piles of dirty dishes waiting to be cleaned immediately.

“Need help?” Rey suddenly appears nearby again, surprising Rani. The man came with a cleaned grill. “I put it here only, yes.” Say it again while putting the grill in the corner of the room with other cooking tools.

Rani takes a quick glance at the pile of dirty dishes nearby, it will actually be more fun if someone helps her. But it was impossible to do it with the man, who seemed to not give up on him.

Rani tries to smile, “Thank you, Rey. But, I can do it myself.”

“Alright, then.” Instead of moving away, Rey walked over and paused near the sink. “Let me company you here.”

Rani flicked her shoulders, “As far as you are.”

Rey leaned her back against the wall, her hands folded against her chest. His eyes never turned, continuing to look at Rani. Rani can't do anything about it instead of driving Rey away, she just lets the man stand nearby and watches her work.

“How long will you stay here?” rey asked later, trying to melt the atmosphere. It had been almost ten minutes accompanying Rani there, but the woman kept ignoring her and focused more on her work.

Rani poured the laundry soap into the container, the soap foam filled her glove-clad hands. He looked away for a moment, staring at Rey for a moment.

“Two Weeks, but can also be more depending on the circumstances. I plan to help my grandmother bookkeeping here,” replied Rani.

“Hem, pretty long.” Rey rubbed her chin, thinking of something. “Do you have any other plans here besides helping Madame Maggie's work on the farm?”

Rani remembered King's plan to take her on a horse ride, smiling and nodding her head. “Yes, King took me riding. And I'm so happy, it's been a while I've never done it.”

“King? You guys planning on riding together?” Rey repeated Rani's words, her face suddenly changed.

“Yuhuu!” sahut Rani was accompanied by a small laugh, but still did not make Rey's heart calm to hear it.

Before long, there was the sound of hurried footsteps on the stairs located at the end of the hallway of the house. Rani stuck out her neck and took a few steps forward, soap foam fell on her leg and Rani paid no attention.

“Hei, Miss. Watch steps. You can slip like that!” tegur Rey reminded.

Rani took off her gloves, rubbing her damp palm onto the apron she was wearing. He walked into the hall and saw a little girl about eight years old, hugging a little teddy bear and standing hesitantly on some steps above it.

Rani remembers, it was her teddy bear. A gift from her late father because Rani likes to laugh every time she sees a teddy bear similar to Bean's. In the attic room of her grandmother's house, Rani keeps many little dolls.

Is he the son of a ranch worker who was playing in the attic of his grandmother's house, or the son of this villager who got lost and suddenly was in this house? Rani shook her head, expelling the strange thoughts that had suddenly appeared in her head.

“Halo, beautiful.” Rani smiled kindly, suddenly she remembered her little niece. Rani flicked her long hair that partially fell on her cheek and tucked it behind her ear. “I Rani, whose name are you?” rani asked with the speech of children the age of the little girl in front of her.

“Halo,” replied the boy timidly, covering his face with a doll in his hand. “My name is Anna,” she replied slowly.

“Waow, your name is so beautiful. As beautiful as the person,” said Rani, then stepped up and sat on the steps next to Anna. “May I know, what are you doing in this house?”

Anna lowered the doll on her face, she lowered her face looking at Rani then sat down beside her. “I fell asleep while playing doll, and mom left me to work cleaning house oma.”

“Oh yes? What's your mama's name, we can go see her if you want.”

Shortly after, Lucy the caretaker of her grandmother's house came in a hurry. He is surprised to see Rani sitting with Anna, who immediately runs down and hugs Lucy when he sees her presence in that place.

“Mama!” anna hugged her mother.

“Anna, forgive Mama.” Lucy rubbed Anna's back. “I left Anna in the attic room when she fell asleep this afternoon. I just remembered that it was night, and Anna had not eaten.” Lucy told Rani.

Rani walks down and stands right in front of the mother and child. “It's late, I better get Anna to eat. After that, I can go home.”

“But Non, I have to clean up this house. Still much work ..”

“Let us take care of it, now it's better to bring Anna for dinner. Poor him, Anna must be hungry.” Rey suddenly falls between them and cuts off Lucy's speech.

“But Mr...”

“No but-fireplace.” Rani nodded firmly.

“Thank you, Miss. Then excuse me first,” said Lucy while holding Anna.

Rani blinked her eyes at Anna who saw her with a blushing face, she tightened her hand grip on her mother's arm. “Tomorrow to play here again yes, we play doll together.”

“What aunt lives in this house?” Anna asked back.

This little girl calls her aunty? Well, I deserve to be called that because I already have three cute nephews.

“Ya,” replied Rani warmly. “Tante will be staying temporarily in this house. And as long as Auntie's here, you're free to play whatever doll Aunt Rani's got in the attic room.”

“Really?”

Rani nodded quickly, Anna laughed happily. He jumped with excitement. “Thank you Aunt.”

Anna whispered to her mother before continuing her steps. They headed for the dining room next to the kitchen wall of the house.

“You look really like kids?” rey asked, smiling from the moment she noticed the interaction between Rani and Anna.

“I have three little nieces, my brother's son. Two men and one woman, they love to play with the ground and then put it on my shirt. If I'm upset, they cry loudly and vomit on my shirt again.”

Rani smiled considering the behavior of her little niece, she was back in front of the sink again. Without feeling the atmosphere melting between the two of them. Rani starts to talk a lot, and Rey is happy to hear her.

“Interesting once!” a naughty grin looks on Rey's face. He pulls Rani's aprons, intending to tease her.

“Hey, don't mess with ya!” Rani glared, reminding. Rey laughed at him.
